Down Under Books

I’m not quite sure how this place stays open. Everything here is insanely cheap (but also appears slightly used.)
There are a few half empty book shelves but I was about to find a decent used Michael Crichton book for $ 2.50! Also got a cheapo pair of sunglasses for 50% off!
Other than that, they have a very random smattering of beach items like shells, signs, and jewelry. Very friendly service.

while walking down the ocean city boardwalk for the first time, a bouncy kangaroo caught my attention. an independent bookstore! on the boardwalk! i had to check it out.
the intimate space is home to new books at full price as well as pre-​read books ($ 2.50 for paperback and $ 6 for hardcover). they also sell tsotchkes and ocean city candle company candles.
i usually don’t like pre-​read books, but i couldn’t help looking through the selection. mystery, business, romance, politics, and everything in between! i scored a pre-​read rachael ray cookbook for $ 2.50 and pricey (but worth it) sweet chili pepper ocean city candle company candle.
i’ll definitely be back the next time i’m walking down the boardwalk. it’s a nice little reprieve from all the gaudy t-​shirt shops and candy kitchens.
