Worst food and service in Ocean City. They are extremely lucky they are based in a hotel setting. They attract many guests for happy hour since there are 2 for 1 drinks from 5 to 6 pm, live music and those staying in the hotel get a 15 minute head start to happy hour. There is no mgmt or supervision looking over service and food quality. The food we ordered had no taste and for the most part tasted old. Most of the summer help is inexperienced which when you are on vacation you want quality service. Coconuts truly needs a restaurant rescue. It appears the restaurant is separately run from the hotel since when asked questions at the front desk about the restaurant the response is ‘I don’t know’. If your going just for happy hour then you should be fine. if your planning to have a meal then buyer beware.

The cheeseburgers are amazing! My boyfriend and I also got one of their rum drinks(goomba punch I think it was called) and it was pretty good. Could’ve used more flavoring for me to help disguise the rum taste a little better. I will say my boyfriend did accidentally spill one of his drinks on the floor and none of the staff offered to help him clean it up… one of the girls sweeping looked at him several times but did nothing except keep sweeping…

Based on our recent meals, I could see regularly popping in from the beach for this great food and friendly service. I called in our order from the beach and the woman on the other end was very«can-do,» even calling me «love» and«hon» — she could get away with it because her care felt genuine. Everything came out tasty and hot, but the burger topped with a crab cake was exceptional — one of our favorite burgers in a long time — doesn’t get any better than this. The coconut shrimp were great and even inspired my wife to make some at home. Well done. We will definitely be ordering when we return to OC.

Great beachy outdoor environment and tons of seating, a volleyball net and walk up service bar. Friday’s they have live music. Good drink selection. Tipsy Turtle Rum punch gets the job done. Food is just okay, not anything spectacular but great drunk food. Can’t see the ocean but the sun is shining.

This place was fun and it had good food! We came during happy hour and a live band. 2 for 1 drink specials 5 – 6. The drinks were good and we got onion rings for an app. I had chicken tacos which I liked. They had flavor and the pico de gallo was fresh. After my Long Island, I had a piña colada. Delicious! This place has a fun environment and good seafood/bar food. And I like how it sits right on the beach.

Great atmosphere; beach bar with a volleyball court. I always stop here when I’m in the area to catch a few games. Drinks are available on the beach and the servers will bring your food to you out there.

We stayed at Castle in the Sand hotel. The day we checked in we ate at Coconuts. I had the grilled tuna sandwich. Menu said it comes on a brioche bun. It was a hamburger bun from a grocery store. Menu said it was served with their special mayo. It came with a ¾ oz packet of Kraft tartar sauce. Fries were ore Ida frozen fries. The tuna didn’t taste fresh. It could have been frozen but can’t say for sure. Tried three different drinks during our stay, all were pretty bad. I am the kind of person that always tries to give the benefit of the doubt and find the good, but this place didn’t deserve my consideration.

My wife and I enjoyed our night at Coconuts. The Long Island drinks were nice and strong. The band playing covers were pretty good and did a nice mix of music for a variety of ages. The waitstaff and bartenders were friendly. I recommend checking this place out, especially if you’re staying at The Castle in the Sand.

Was at coconuts beach bar tonight-hey, the booze was good-but I have to say, the live band«Old School» was pathetic– I guess if you have enough to drink anything sounds good… Pretty disappointed…

3.5 for food, rounded up for atmosphere. Love the live band and relaxing beach feel. Will definitely come back. The band was great playing oldies from the 60’s to the present. The crab guacamole was a little dry; we had to ask for more lemon. The coconut shrimp was spot on, exactly what you would expect. The Chesapeake burger was cooked perfectly. The crushes were refreshing!

What a fun, chilled, and party atmosphere this place is in OC. We missed happy hour(2 for 1 drinks) and came here from a friends recommendation. Very limited parking at Castle in the Sand hotel for Coconut patrons, but at least they do offer it. I agree with what other reviews said about their food: decent and nothing to write home about. But we really did enjoy the burger with crab cake and the coconut shrimp. You come here for the drinks(lots of crushes!) the live music, and if you like partake in beach volleyball games. Service was good and very efficient too. One note: Bathrooms are downstairs inside their basement dining room. Wish they had it on same level. Anyways, good times indeed. It was a great way to start off our weekend!

This place is a hot mess between 5−6pm because it’s 2-for-1 drinks, great for people watching. I saw a girl just whip her boob at once, good stuff. You can take your drinks out on the beach which is pretty nice. Also, they have waitresses that will take your order on the beach and then bring you your drink(s)/food, I did that once, my tab was over $ 200 because I was having more fun than I had sense that day. I’ve eaten here once or twice, I got something basic like a wrap or chicken tenders– nothing to write home about but it wasn’t bad.

My husband and I stopped by during HH so he could check out the specials(2-for-1 drinks), and the place was definitely swarming with young adults and families. You can get crushes from the crush station and enjoy some live music or watch people play volleyball. I didn’t have any of the food since we didn’t stay long, so we’ll have to come back to give a more accurate review!

I love that you’re able to lay out on the beach while sipping on cocktails that’s being served to you. It’s the only place in OCMD where you’re allowed to do this, so take full advantage!

Good food– their salsa was excellent(fresh). Good drinks. Good service. It was a little over priced, but for Ocean City I guess it was ok. The outside bar/eating area is usually pretty busy. Worth the trip if you are in the area!

Wings could use a little more sauce, but they weren’t horrible. Just ate a little ranch and you’re golden. They have a special, buy 1 get 1 free. The real reason all of us cheap-os came here, lol.

I’m giving this place 2 stars because I did enjoy my beer battered shrimp taco with the delicious mango salsa. Descent price, descent food for a bar/restaurant. I wasn’t expecting much but the service was terrible! At least my waitress was terrible! I seen all the other tables being waited on but my waitress was never to be found. She never brought out one of our wraps, she never checked on us, and she took about 45min to bring the check. The family I was with knew the manager well so he took money of the bill and gave us some pretty strong free drinks but still the waitress had everyone furious with the subpar service

We own a place next door to Castle in the Sand and have been to Coconuts a few times and we haven’t had any issues until now. The place wasn’t too busy. Ordered the mahi tacos and so did my dad. Mom got a taco salad. As I was eating one of the tacos, I felt something weird in my mouth, pulled it out and it was a hair, like a dark short hair. Gross. Stopped eating immediately. My moms salad had raw chicken on it. We let the server know and she apologized and took our food back and they made fresh. The food was good after that but still kinda ruined my appetite. Really wasn’t impressed though. My Moms salad was $ 13.50 and it was just a small Wendys size salad… small and overpriced. They did discount some of our food though which was nice. Server was friendly and helpful. Not sure if I’d return for food but maybe drinks.

This is a unique beach bar with a sand, beach volleyball court. The bar isn’t huge but serves everything from beer, wine and mixed drinks. There is a large open area with tables and views of the volleyball court.
