Great place for crabs and a fairly good price. Our server(Chad) was awesome, so attentive. Will definitely come back.

Weve gone here for years. Had an occasion where we werent satusfies but overall ok place, decent crabs. Our last 2 trips were not good. Crab legs were cooked wrong and had an odd flavor. I chose to eat plain steamed shrimp and won’t be going back anytime soon. At these prices you shouldnt have just an OK meal, which is what you will probably get here IF they cook your food to your liking.

Bruhhh. Shit is soooooooooooooo amazing. Honestly if you like crabs, come here, even if you live real far away, come. It’s so good. The manager is great and we get the all you can eat steamed crabs so he gives us the good ones. They are real warm and they are brought out right away.

Good place for crabs but there are plenty of places to get crab in ocean city. The seafood here was fresh but so are all of the other places around here. This is a place to go if you do not want to wait a long line at other restaurants and just want to get your crab fix on.

MAKERESERVATIONS! Not that they won’t seat you without one, but it will make your party a priority for outside seating. This place was great. Our server, Jaden, was also great, especially since he had several big parties. We never felt neglected, and he and the other staff were very attentive and provided great customer service. I did the Limited –All-You-Can-Eat– Alaskan Crab legs and shrimp, there is $ 4.50 up charge when order more crabs, but the first portion is huge, with 6 clusters of crab legs and 1 pound of shrimp. Also, the fried chicken is some of the best I’ve ever had, which comes with your AYCE meals. Come for the food and stay for the drinks and the service.

I don’t understand why this establishment has a relatively low rating. We arrived on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend, were seated immediately, and ordered their crab special(which, at $ 29.99, was $ 15 less than most places in the area with their jacked up holiday pricing). We got fresh hush puppies upon sitting, and got tray after tray of hot, meaty, well-seasoned crabs with little to no delay. The service was great. We stayed at the Hilton, and this place is a stones throw away. Couldn’t have asked for a nicer time.

Came here for dinner mostly for the crab. The crab was pretty good, nothing to complain about, really. They were a nice size and reasonably priced; 12 medium sized crabs for $ 50. The hush puppies were pretty good too, very crunchy. I came here with my parents and we ordered the crab and 36 medium sized shrimp($ 20 I believe). The shrimp was RIDICULOUSLY salty, like after eating two pieces I could feel my lips start to dry and tingle. We told the waitress, who was very pleasant about it, and she offered to steam us another batch. After about a minute, she came back out with another batch, but alas, they were still too salty to be eaten. She was kind enough to remove the item from our bill, but that pretty much made us not want to order another side dish in case that too was overly salty. We ended up just eating the crab(which by the way, for 3 people, it filled us all up). I have 3 our of 5 stars because our hostess was nice, she checked up on us a few times and the crab was good. The shrimp, however, made me feel like I drank seawater. I digress. Get the shrimp if you like really seasoned, salty food. Otherwise, stay away.

I ordered carry out. Guy was very nice. The bartender — Lauren? — was unfriendly to the point of being rude. Hush puppies were really good. Same with coleslaw. Shrimp was cold but good after heated up. Corn was awful but the guy warned me about it so I can’t fault them on that.

In all my years of dining I have never given a bad rating until now. A kitsch atmosphere doesn’t mean much. I did the all you can eat ribs and shrimp which was my biggest mistake. The combo comes with all you can eat chicken, corn on the cob, and coleslaw. Ribs were over boiled and not broiled. They were drowned in barbecue sauce. When I bit into rib meat, it had no flavor other than the sauce. The shrimp was steamed but overdone with Old Bay on top. The fries were crisp on the outside and bland on the inside. How is that even possible? The soda was watered down and the corn on the cob was over boiled and mushy. 40 dollars(per person) for all you can eat ribs and shrimp is a total rip off. I could have gone to Embers or even Golden Corral and gotten a better meal. The service was fine but the cooks need to be told to pack up their knives and go. Never again.

We visited Higgins crab house on a family getaway vacation during the summer. The crab legs and butter was to die for. The seasoning was amazing. I definitely will be returning when I come back. I definitely recommend this place for seafood lovers

Honestly went against our better judgement to give this place a shot. I’d rather have taken my chances eating in the alleyway as it would’ve tasted better. The«shrimp» was actually salted rubber that I’m pretty sure I’ve used as lures before to fish with and the AYCEC had more ammonia taste and smell then Jeffrey Dahmers kitchen. I seriously want to give negative stars but the hush puppies were super delicious~ pretty sure there laced with crack to hook you into not leaving. We got the #1& #4 options~ AYCEC& the AYCE shrimp & ribs. Where do we start with this monstrosity of an extremely overpriced ordeal??? I’m going to guess that the cooks were blind and were just hitting numbers on the microwave to cook all the food. Everything came out way too fast for«fresh seafood» and it’s definitely not fresh. I’m pretty certain we got the leftover crabs from other patrons that had left earlier in the evening. The ribs tasted like bad beef jerky and the French fries were made of playdoh or at least that was what the texture and taste reminded me. Actually I’ve had better tasting playdoh so sorry to insult it. All in all we didn’t get food poisoning(shocking), the waiter was friendly but next time I think I’d rather take my chances and would eat my ex-husbands cooking for me then to ever go here again.

Good crabs but they get cold quick because of how cold it is inside. Great service. Don’t try and use your passport as your form of I.D. because they wont take it! Also, they lost points for not having the mini crab forks.

It was an exceptional evening in Ocean City. Perfect for sitting on the upper deck here. The music act(didn’t get her name) made it great fun too! I started with a beer which was very cold. My wifes iced tea was good too. We did not order an appetizer. For dinner she had the scallops and a crab cake and I had the fried chicken and a crab cake. The cake was mostly crab and was good. My wife liked her scallops and the fried chicken was hot, fresh, crispy, tender and very good. The coleslaw was ok and the corn was very sweet. Our waiter, Chad, was very nice and very efficient. My wife said he is cute! Lol. Have a great school year Chad. We would come back here again.

Disappointing crab non-feast. We had the AYCE crabs and corn(this specific option is listed only on their site). The crabs were near empty, full of bad tasting yellow green gray gut stuff. We wasted most of the time on breaking empty crabs, left unsatisfied after the supposed all you can eat feast. As soon as I looked at the first tray, I knew this may not be the exciting feast we were hungry for. The crabs looked dry, not fresh, cold. I think they get them ready ahead of time and then stick them in the oven for a few minutes and bring it out dry. The seasoning, was dry flakes on top, it didn’t stick due to lack of moisture. Not the delicious mix I am used to. At least their butter dip was tasty and masked some of the disappointment. The most irritating thing, besides the cold dry crabs, was that most were empty, had little meat. By the time we got to our final refill they brought out meatier crabs, but we were exhausted from breaking all the empty ones and were getting ready to leave. We wasted a couple of hours here and missed the swim as the weather was cooling off by the time we left and we ended up not going into the water. Day trip ruined. Overall, we broke a lot of shell, got so-so tasting, dry, mostly empty, small, dirty crabs with poor seasoning. After sifting through crab guts we were glad that at least the corn didn’t leave us too hungry. I couldn’t believe I was jealous of kid’s sandwich a another table while I was supposedly having a king’s feast of crabs. So the cheapest all you can eat crab option for two, no drinks/water, ended up being around $ 78 with tip. Since we left with a bad taste in our mouths and were still hungry, this is a rip off. The season young staff were chatting in a corner about tips. I really wished to ask for our money back, what a disappointment. At least we can now say that we tried this place(I wanted to stop by as part of the trip) and we are never coming back.

I visit Ocean City each year and always eat at Higgins. For a basic crab shack with good tasting, quality crabs for a pretty resonable rate, I was always happy with Higgins. Now I am thrilled with Higgins. they have finished a major renovation and the roof is now a huge crab deck. You get great views of ocean Highway and the sunset while feasting on crabs. I’m not a drinker, but the new outdoor bar looked so inviting. They have these high back, wooden bar chairs that look like a cross between a bar stool and an adirondack chair, all brightly painted. they have a stand alone hand washing sink up there to clean up after pickin’ crabs. I’ll never eat indoors at another crab place in OC again. Hit this place before sundown so you can enjoy the view.

«Medium» steak was very very well done. While it’s not a steak house, this was a bit surprising for $ 30. Crab cake was excellent. Staff was very friendly. Very casual atmosphere.

One of the best meals I had in Ocean City! The cream of crab soup is to die for. If you get a chance, order it! I also had the rib sampler and it was fall off the bone tender. Hubby had all you can eat crabs and he enjoyed it. Also, the hush puppies are the best I’ve ever eaten! I could have just eaten 6 baskets of hush puppies as my meal.

Crabs crabs and more crabs. Great customer service even though the crabs weren’t very meaty due to the season. Management handled the situation and gave us FRESHCRABS that were BIGGER. Left a nice 40 tip. Thank you for your service.
