Love the swinging booths, what a neat idea. This place has been here forever so I was worried it may have«jumped the shark.» Not at all. The server was nice and attentive, and everyone enjoyed their food. We had a variety of appetizers, salads, soups, sandwiches and wraps. The food was good and the prices VERY reasonable for Ocean City. The water feature is an afterthought but that’s not what we came for.

The burgers were awesome and the drinks were smooth well made so I would would def recommend this place to anyone down Ocean City who wants to try a crab cake on top of a ½ burger with your choice of cheese(I choose cheddar) then Big Pecker’s is your spot. The seating outside is pretty cool with the glider rocking chair type booths they have being pretty unique. Go check this place out. We even bought some t-shirts from the gift shop less than $ 20 for a dirty play on words joke about big peckers it’s fun when in Rome ya know. Anyway I def am going to eat here again next Summer when I’m back down the ocean.

My family and I went to Big Peckers yesterday. After reading a few negative reviews, not a lot, just more than I would like, we decided to go. I am really glad that we did. The smell of the food cooking outside, especially the steaks cooking, was amazing. They have gazebo/swings outside as well. I thought that was a nice touch. Okay, getting to the service: our waitress was really nice and informative. She knew the menu well and was very patient. She had great«bed-side» manner. The atmosphere was busy with a lot of kids running around and loud. That was not a problem for us, but, if that’s not for you, then I would recommend a quieter environment. Hey, it’s the beach, what do you expect! The food was really good. The portions were generous. The burgers were very, very, very big. But, they were raised to look bigger with huge, hard, onion rings that were to hard to enjoy. Oh, my goodness, they were hard. Too hard to be honest. My prime rib was really good. It was juicy and well cooked. Now, with all that being said, the flies were horrendous. They were everywhere. I realize that can only be controlled but so much, but they were everywhere. They were pitching down on our food and refused to move, We had to cover our food to even enjoy it. My kids were very irritated. They should invest in fly screens. I can only imagine how many were on our food before they made it to the table. But, overall, we enjoyed our food and would recommend it. I would go back again. Hope this helps!!!

I disagree with he negative reviews. One said this is a place you may visit while on vacation but won’t be good enough for a second visit. My wife and I ate here twice. Once just so we via check in at the humorous name, and the next evening because we liked the place. We ate on their outdoor patio both times and loved the gliding tables. There were some flies that were somewhat of a nuisance but that’s the great outdoors anywhere there’s food. The wait staff was very nice but the girls who were in charge of seating us the second night seemed rather confused. The place also has a little gift shop with funny«Big Peckers» t-shirts. I’ll post a photo of the one I bought here on Unilocal after I write this review. I had the chicken quesadilla the first day, then chicken tenders the second night. Both were good but I recommend the chicken tenders because their honey mustard dipping sauce was delicious and I had no trouble asking and getting a second cup of it. The loaded fries appetizer is good too — a rather large portion. Try this place when you’re in Ocean City.

I couldn’t go without writing a review. The wine selection isn’t vast but the basics is sufficient. We love the burgers. The are large and shareable. The French Onion Soup is also good. We do return each year for their burgers.

Pretty typical burger joint in a tourist town. Outdoor seating is a great touch, portions are large, prices are fair. For a family of 3 an appetizer and three light meals will run ~$ 50 with tip included. You wouldn’t regret eating here, but probably wouldn’t be persuaded that you just had to return again before making your way out of town. Recommended — Carolina burger, buffalo chicken wrap. Skip — Onion ring appetizer

Horrible. So gross. The place is dirty. My soup was warm at best, everything was greasy, the potato had foil bits all in it. Needless to say we left hungry and had upset tummys from the nasty food

Husband and I went there last night for dinner. Best bar food we’ve had and the prices were very reasonable. Next time we visit ocean city we’ll definitely go back.

If you’re in the mood for bar food, this is the place. Cool outdoor seating too. They have these large tables that slide back and forth(great distraction for little ones). The tables also have their individual shade so you get relief from the sun on hot summer days. I also noticed misters around the tables, they must turn them on when it’s super hot out.

My friends and I came here for a quick bite to eat. And that’s exactly what this place is. Everyone enjoyed their food. Was it a fine dining experience? No. But for a bar with bites – not too bad. Highly recommend the pulled pork platter and the Chesapeake burger.

This is an awesome little spot for outdoor dining. The swinging tables are just too cool. The service and food were great. However, I would like to see the staff tell the patrons to stop throwing food to the birds. Gross.

Peckers is always a stop on my list when I’m in OC. For the price, you can’t beat it. You order a soda? It’s huge! Every appetizer I’ve ever had is awesome! I do have a preference for the chicken tenders(love me tenders) or you can never go wrong with the mozzarella sticks. Burgers are hands down the best I’ve had so far in OC. my personal favorite is the Chesapeake Burger. Cheese, beef and crap dip. What’s not to love?! Servers are always super nice. Outdoor seating on those rockers is the best! I’ve never been disappointed here. If you are here in peak summer hours there will be a wait, but for me it’s ALWAYS worth it!

what this restaurant has above the others, is an unique outdoor setup. they have swings that can seat parties from 4 to 8 people, great for kids. We ordered a bunch of apps and their«bodacious burgers». the apps were average, the burgers were far from the best I have. This place is a tradition for bf’s family, my first time. I won’t bend over backwards to visit again, especially because it is so far from the condo.

Very disappointing visit. I had the pulled pork sandwich. It wasn’t anything spectacular but it was okay. I opted for the French fries instead of chips and they were actually pretty good. Crisp and well seasoned. My husband however got the prime rib of beef sandwich, and while the sandwich itself was just okay, the Au jus it came with was horrible. No flavor. And the chips that come standard on the side as just crumbled lays potato chips. The waitress was nice enough but for whatever reason it felt like she was pushing us to leave. She kept asking me if I wanted a box. The first time she asked I’d only had my food for a few minutes and had only taken a few bites. The place wasn’t crowded in the least so I didn’t understand why they were in such a rush to get us out. Would not return here.

Tried this place on a recommendation… He said they had«the best burgers on the beach.» That will be the last recommendation I take from him, what a disappointment! There was absolutely no attempt to disguise their freezer burned frozen beef patties. My «medium-rare» was essentially a frozen beef patty defrosted just enough that it remained pink on the interior and FREEZINGCOLD. This was one of the worst burgers I have ever had. I have had better burgers out of a microwave on a plane or train. Nothing«Bodacious» about them at all. The only reason I am rating this with two stars instead of one is because the service was excellent and the fries and old bay wings were pretty good too.

Stopped into this place for lunch. It was my wife and two kids as well as my mother-in-law. We decided to sit outside because the weather was great! I highly recommend sitting outside! The seats are also rockers which was nice. For lunch my wife ordered a buffalo chicken salad. She said it was delicious and it was a HUGE portion! I ordered a buffalo chicken wrap. It was a little too spicy for me but again the portions were generous. My daughter had the chicken tenders and French fries. They were not greasy like some places make them. The French fries were also delicious! They were seasoned instead of plain. The price was was also pretty good! A lot cheaper than home. I highly recommend this place!

I want so badly to give BP four stars, but I just can’t. Let me explain… BP is a decent restaurant. Nothing amazing, nothing awful. I’ve never had a bad meal here and the service has always been very friendly and attentive. The wait staff bust their butts running around the place and they do a great job at keeping up with refills and checking up on you. The last time I went I got a fruit martini and chicken tacos. I’m not really a martini person so I’m sort of biased, but it was really hard for me to drink it. Very strong and not so tasty. My boyfriend had a chocolate mint one and after taking a sip, I preferred his. The chicken tacos were good, however the chicken tasted like the frozen fajita mix you can get in a bag at the grocery store. I’m not saying it was bad, but when I go out to eat I expect something I can’t make at home. Though, for $ 9 it was a lot of food. What wasn’t a lot of food, however, was our appetizer. We ordered the jumbo shrimp and received about five fried shrimp on a plate. If we would have paid $ 4 – 5 I wouldn’t be complaining, however for $ 8 I will complain all I like! It’s not like they caught the shrimp and breaded it themselves! All in all, I think what makes BP so famous is the outdoor seating. The swing tables are so much fun and are great to chill in after dinner as you sip your drink. Could they use a little cleaning? Yes, but it’s totally what makes the restaurant worth visiting. I’ve visited here every time I’ve come to OC. However, I think next time I may skip it and see what other dining options the beach has.

I have no idea why anyone would eat here, much less wait in line for 25 minutes and another 15 minutes once sat for a server to even take a drink order. The food is slop and that is being kind. The coconut shrimp were dark brown on the outside and cold in the middle served with a sugary ketchup dipping sauce. The Rueben had rotten sauerkraut and lunch meat corned beef. The 16.95 $ sirloin was the lowest possible quality of steak and medium was gray in the middle. The tacos were worse looking than anything you would find at a Taco Bell The cheese fries were fries with a pinch of shredded processed cheese microwaved on top. The salmon was frozen not fresh. The fish in the fish tacos were worse than fish sticks at a cafeteria at a hospital. I can’t imagine anyone ever going back for a second time. I know we won’t. Absolutely disgusting and a waste of time. Should have read previous Unilocal reviews before going. Just plain nasty. One star because at least the side salad was edible although the tomatoes were rotten.
