Food was great. Creamy Shrimp imperial and a salad with fabulous Blue Cheese drrssing. Rays Crab cakes were full of crab meat and now we can relax and listen to the band. Got it all here. And owner is always avaliable for a friendly hello. Thanks for a good experience. If it WAS80° outside it would be perfect.

I will never come here again! We put our name on the wait list. Little did we know, the pager that was given to us was dead. When I went to check on how much longer… the hostess was very rude«the pager was working when I gave it to you» was her response. Like I broke it! Finally we were sat at a table. I took 40 min for our appetizer. We all ordered soup. One soup was brought out, the others came out 30 min later. After waiting over an hour for a meal– we got up to leave. We were told we could not leave because we already ordered our food. We explained that tables that came in after us all have been served. I offered to pay for what we ate and that was all. The manager proceeded to tell us «good luck in Ocean City… waived his hand at me and dismissed me. I do not recommend this overpriced restaurant with terrible managers. Terrible customer service! What a waste of 2−½ hours!

We had a nice dinner, with good service, good entrees and pleasant atmosphere. I had the chicken teriyaki which was very good! My fiancé had the seafood salad platter which he enjoyed. We split two orders of the fried oysters, which were delicious! We’ll definitely go back!

The service was horrible. We waited over an hour to get our food. When we asked to see the manager, the manager claimed that we’d only been there 25 minutes because that was what the ticket said. My husband never ever got a refill on his coffee. They forgot the salad for me and gave everybody else their salads and soups. When we finally got the food it was good, but the manager was so so nasty that will never go back there again.

Came off season on a Tuesday night and received pretty rude service. Showed her a $ 5BJ’s coupon then after we ordered and received the bill said it wasn’t good with what was ordered. The«wrapture» was terrible supposed to be grouper but nothing but fried breading. Crab cake special was that my wife got was also terrible. Horrible experience.

I was there on Saturday, October 10, 2015. They were busy and the noise was almost unbearable. My dinner was worse. The server NEVER checked back during any course to see if everything was OK. Some of the meals served to our party were good, but a couple were totally unacceptable. I started with the Onion Soup. They should call this dish«Hot Water Soup with Onions». This soup had no taste and instead of the broth being a dark beefy brown, it was a very light tan in color. I have never ordered onion soup anywhere else that did not have croutons or bread in the bottom. I ordered the Breaded Shrimp, Fries and Apple Sauce for an entrée. The apple sauce was good, but I am thinking that all the chef needed to do was to open the jar. The shrimp were over cooked making the breading very hard and the fries(Boardwalk Style) were barely room temperature. This is not the first time that I have been disappointed at BJs, but I assure you that it will be the last time.

Nightmare! I don’t usually review and am not a hard person to please, but considering how long will we waited and how much we paid I have to suggest not going to this place. We went on a late Monday night in the off season. Not only did it take an hour to get our appetizer of crab dip, but we were the only ones in the restaurant(midnight). at that point we still waited another 20 minutes for salad! we requested that our 3 entrees be bagged to go since we could not wait any longer. After 15 minutes more our server informs us that two of our entrees were burnt so she was only giving us one entrée and not billing us for the other two. We paid 37 dollars for two drinks, salads and one meal to go. almost wasted an hour and a half on no food. and to top it off when we took the sandwich home to eat it was missing the top bun of bread! don’t waste your time or money on a mediocre experience!

Perfect lunch spot on the bay. Atmosphere is casual and you can watch the ducks in the water. The specialty drinks are great and the menu isn’t complicated. I’ve been here once before and ordered the oysters, they were fresh. Today I just had soup and salad. Simple, fresh, and tasty.

This place is a joke, service is horrible we waited over 15min just to place an order. Food is over priced, for such small portions. We went on a Tuesday night this place was EMPTY and it still took forever to eat. Our empty plates and cups had to get stacked at the end of the table because our waiter never took them. We come to ocean city every year and we always like to try out a new place to eat as a family. let’s just say I rather eat on the boardwalk next time Not worth the money, much better restaurants in ocean city trust me !

My husband and I had dinner here last night. We arrived around 6:30 and waited 20 minutes for a table outside. The weather was perfect so the wait was more than reasonable. When we were seated, it was at a table directly overlooking the bay… and it was almost sunset. I turned to my husband and said, «This is ridiculous,» just amazed by our good fortune. We ordered the soup du jour, a cream of red pepper with crab that had hardly any crab in it and was thick enough to be a dip. I barely ate any and had my husband eat the rest. This was a low point in an otherwise yummy meal. For starters, we opted for the Red, Hot, and Blue — colossal shrimp battered, fried, and bathed in hot wing sauce, served with blue cheese dressing — and the rockfish fingers with remoulade. We loved both and licked our fingers clean. As an entrée, my husband got the salmon salad and I got the Oysters Rockefeller Caesar. His salmon had a nice crust and he was beyond pleased. My Caesar was okay — the oysters were good but deeply battered and I was hoping for more oyster and less batter. Our waiter was new and kept apologizing but had no reason to; he was polite and attentive. And that view! Definitely a good way to kick off our vacation.

Great food. Very nice view. Service was excellent as well. Bayside views. Come in before 7:00 pm in summer to ensure a seat outside. Otherwise you can sit in AC glass room or bar area

I just visited OCMD for the first time last weekend. Much to my surprise a lot of the touristy places I visited with my friends who frequent OC were quite disappointing, but NOTBJ’s On the Water. BJ’s had such a warm and inviting vibe from the moment we walked in the door. We were promptly sat at a very home-style feeling outdoor table with a patio swing as part of our seating(how cool). As we were being seated our server, Amber D., let us know that she would be with us in a few minutes. Amber was exceptional! Although, she was INCREDIBLY busy, she was most certainly, one of the most attentive servers I have had in a long time! We started with drinks and appetizers, the Rockfish bites, and the chicken salad potato wedges(I’m not sure the true menu names) which were OUTSTANDING! They came in very large portions, even with there being 4 of us, we weren’t able to finish them if we even wanted to touch our main entrees. The menu selection was vast, and covered many types of food, from sandwiches/wraps, seafood, steaks, to pasta. I must say they did a bang up job on all of it. My friends and I had a little bit of everything. My favorite was the steamed shrimp and the ravioli… I know what you are thinking… «Ravioli at a beach restaurant that specializes in seafood, you’re crazy!!!» Yep, I did it, and I definitely do not regret it!!! It tasted homemade from the fresh pasta to the chunky tomato marinara that my grandma made with tender love and care. My friends were jealous! While we were boxing up our left overs(side note: there will definitely be left overs) a gentleman came around to clear some of our dishes, I asked if he was the manager… he hesitated and the proceeded to tell me that he was one of the owners. I began to tell him how wonderful my first time experience was at his restaurant. it is so nice to see that the owners have such a large role in the everyday business. it really makes you appreciate things much more. he was very kind and humble to hear such a great review. As we were wrapping up, the sun was falling over the bay, and boy was it a site to see. A perfect view to end a perfect meal.

Got a crab cake sandwich, buttered noodles, a salad, and a chicken salad sandwich. The chicken salad sandwich was awful. It tasted like I had a BJ in my mouth. The mayo to make the chicken salad was warm and terrible, and the chicken was cut so large, it was tough to eat. It literally looked like they took a jar of Hellman’s and half a chicken and slapped it on a bun. The crab cake was small and twice the price of other local eateries. It had more bread than crab, and tasted like I just ate out a girl on her rag. It was not worth the money. The buttered noodles had no taste and resembled prison food with a little«butter». They were dry and could stick to a glass table. The salad was brown and wilted, and my dog wouldn’t even eat it. We spent almost $ 40 on this«meal». Be warned. I’d rather eat road kill off of Coastal Highway.

I went for dinner when visiting my friend’s family in OCMD for a few days, and I’m so glad we picked this place! We wanted to eat out on the patio, and they said it would be about a 40 minute wait, but they hoped to be able to seat us quicker. We decided to wait for 15 minutes, and sit inside if there was no movement. After about ten minutes, we were seated at a table right by the water. It was a beautiful night to sit outside and watch the sunset, so worth it! Both indoor and outdoor seating areas are large. We started with the old bay steamed shrimp as an app, and they were great. Everyone loved the entrees they got and the food came out so fast! I had the crab cake BLT. It was out of this world! The huge crab cake was basically all crab– no filler in sight! It was on a Texas toast type bread with ample bacon, lettuce, and tomato. My mouth is watering. I want another right now! As we were walking out, there was a live band playing inside(Friday night around 9), and it looked like everyone was having a great time! I wish we could have stayed later, but I was driving home that night. I would definitely go back and recommend!

Came here for an early lunch and got seated straight away. The view of the bay here is great and the interior seems nice but could get very crowded easily. I got the Gobbler and I was delicious. The rest of my group seemed to enjoy their meals as well. The only problem was the waiter who spilled the drinks twice. Even with those two blips he was incredibly nice and friendly and shaved off a bit of the bill from the spilt drinks. Overall I would definitely come back and try some of the other food here as well and would like to see the atmosphere when the have one of their live bands here.

BJs serves fairly decent, but not great food, but overpriced as most restaurants are in the ocean city area. The crab cakes were fairly small and fried with a thin crust on the outside, somewhat unusual. My wife’s house salad was decent and the mahi mahi was fresh. For all who use coupons beware. We ordered 2 entrees from the entrée section of the menu and my wife’s $ 5.99 house salad from the appetizer section of the menu. The coupon was for buy one get one free entrée. Guess what they took off the check? The $ 5.99 salad. When I asked the waiter, he said sorry, but my wife ordered a salad as an entrée. They are told to take the cheapest thing off the menu. Ridiculous. Welcome to Ocean City.

Rockfish bites are tasty and the crab chop chop salad is very good with smoked bacon(coupled use tomatoes though). Great view if the water and at night you can watch the fish!
