I was there a year ago for a brazilian and I left with burns, despite asking for the heat to be turned down. I am also fairly convinced that they were double dipping. I am down in Ocean City again and was looking for another salon but wanted to make sure that no one else gets the awful experience I had here.

I took my daughter in to get her bangs highlighted and was quoted $ 4 a foil. The hairdresser said it would take about six foils. Although I thought this was a bit excessive for bangs, I agreed. Well her hair came out orange so the hairdresser had to rebleach it. I have not had this problem in the past as a hairdresser from another salon highlighted her hair beautifully. I was charged $ 49 for a one inch bang highlight — more then double what I was quoted. Apparently you have to pay when the hairdresser cannot do her job properly. Absolutely disgusted!

One of the best massages I’ve ever had. I was very impressed.
I’m in OC for vacation and pulled a muscle in my shoulder. Found this salon/​spa on Unilocal and am SO happy I went. When I called for more information the woman (Lauren) was extremely nice and helped me set up an appointment with a therapeutic massage for the same day. I arrived a few minutes before my scheduled appointment time and was helped immediately. Linda — my massage therapist — was amazing! She listened to what areas were hurting and with the use of heating pads, oils and techniques… was able to help my shoulder feel a lot better. Plus she was super sweet and made me feel very comfortable.
Obviously I was really impressed with A Bella. It’s a clean, friendly and welcoming place to be. If you are in OC and find yourself needing a massage… definitely check this place out!

This is the WORST hair salon I think i’ve ever gone to. The service I received by my stylist was absolutely horrible. Let me begin by saying that the front desk girl was nice, however the niceties stopped there. My stylist calls me over, doesn’t introduce herself, sits me down, and asks me what I want. Well, I brought a picture and thought that it would be a good guideline for her but the first thing she said was that she probably wasn’t going to be able to get it exact but she would try. This clearly didn’t instill any confidence in me and I got a little nervous. She then starts clipping me in a rushed fashion, missing bits and pieces here and there. After this, she takes me to the wash bowl, doesn’t use a towel under my nec k (maybe to save on the wash) and gives me a 4-​second wash that was barely a wash. Im not even sure why she bothered because all she managed to do was get me wet. She then starts using these BLUNT scissors on my hair and is done within minutes. After this, she doesn’t even style my hair and sends me on my way. I thought the entire experience was hair-​raising (no pun intended) but the worst part of the whole thing is that when you go to their website, it looks pretty professional. However, unfortunately it is not. So I decided to send an email and received an email in response defending her actions and using phrases like, «she did this because of this» and, «she said this because of that,» which was weird to me because the person writing the email in response wasn’t even there. Basically, if you don’t like your cut here, you wont be able to do anything about it and they will be rude to you. So, if you want a high-​end cut, be sure to try AVEDA on Asbury or ELLEVEN at the corner shopping center of West and 11^th.

If you are looking for a place to get a great massage in Ocean City, NJ you have to book your appointment with Noël here at the A Bella Salon at 9^th and Wesley in Ocean City, NJ. Noël has a very unique ability to sense where you are hurting and uses ancient Chinese techniques to massage your aches and paines away. Her schooling is from a school in Vale, CO and her teacher was a Master Chinese therapist where his teachings were passed down many generations. She does a lot of «Pressure point» techniques such as accu-​pressure on the feet. She can work as deep as you want. I have been going for massages for over 30 years and at this point in my life I go at least twice a month. I wish I had someone in my home town that was this good. I highly recommend Noël and hope that one day she resides in Las Vegas, NV so that I can feel no pain for the rest of my life.

I know when I get a good massage and I know when I get a bad massage and I got an AWESOME massage there from Noël and she did an AMAZING job!!! She asked me what I needed worked on most and about how much pressure I wanted — she even checked to make sure I liked the amount of pressure on my body. She could tell that one side of my back was way more out of sync then the other side and worked out the knots. She did an amazing job and I am soooo thankful I went here! She even went over in time to make sure I got a great massage! Noël is the best!
