What a great little gallery. I was visiting the bay area and some friends brought me here for the art crawl, First Fridays. We visited several galleries and this by far was my favorite. I loved the local artist work. Nothing pretentious or fake here. Just great work by up and coming creative artist. I wish I had picked up a shirt or a print while I was there, but they have an online store. Just a cool place, if your in the area stop in especially for First Fridays

We stumbled upon this shop this afternoon and absolutely loved it. Spectacular creativity on reasonably-priced t-shirts. I bought an awesome one with a campy horror picture on it that I can’t wait to wear. Two artists were drawing as we walked in, and they even had Nightmare on Elm Street playing on a wall. The friendly owner explained the shop’s history and what events they plan on hosting. Tell me: what’s not to love?!

Of course my first Unilocal review in this account has to be for my favorite peeps, eva! Great art, great people, freakin dope clothes and gear. Can’t beat my awesome hoodie or my «snug life» kitty shirt… trust me, the«Story of O» discreet eye contact of acknowledgement when fellow SF art sceners see yer shite is pretty noteworthy too. Come down if you’re around for Oakland’s ever growing Art Murmur — 1st Fridays… or visit their new SF Haight store! Love you guys! Brian, Dave, Alex, Darren… No sweeter crew! Support local art and local businesses, and be a freakin educated, well-dressed kid. Art openings/receptions vary, but are always a night of fun! — Past artists include, Wayshak, Ricky Watts, Alex Pardee, Bowen.

This is a neat pop culture inspired gallery that features art from local artists. They also sell t-shirts as well. There are a ton of different types of art to look at. The people that work here are friendly and informative. I’ve been in here when it’s super crowded on First Fridays and less busy during the Saturday Stroll. Glad to see that they’re getting a lot of attention. The name may be ironic but I’m sure they will attract less than zero friends in the future. Stop in and check out the art. My old co-workers who are pretty hip for their age even liked this place.

I came out for a First Friday Art Murmur and Zero Friends was my favorite gallery. I’m not much of an art connoisseur and I accept that I don’t have particularly sophisticated taste, but I definitely enjoyed the work that was shown at Zero Friends. My roommate and I were very tempted to throw down the money for a large 2x3ft print of «The Patriot.» Again, I’m not known for taste. Otherwise, they have smaller works that are inexpensive and fun. If I wasn’t on a razor thin budget, I would definitely spend some money here… or perhaps if I end up going back for the next Art Murmur.

One of the first art gallery thingies I’ve been to in the bay area and in my opinion the best. Simple arrangement and allows the talent to speak for itself. Cute clothes, small and big wall pieces and nothing but pure genius. Hope the gallery gets more visits, soon. I sure will be coming back.

No idea how this cool storefront on 25th st.(which drew lots of visitors for last night’s Oakland art walk) has been around without getting any reviews… time to change that. It’s a store, but there appears to be an «artist’s collective» behind it. What they produce is very cool and very wonderfully random items in a few different mediums… er media. They have a selection of apparel too, which is good, because art is expensive, but wearable art isn’t! Well worth checking out.
