Called a yellow cab to test out the taxi scrip program for my aging father. Called the 510÷444−1234 as I remembered this number from the past. When I called, the dispatch said a cab will be there in 15 minutes. I called the driver as he called me back to confirm pickup and he was running late. I called again 38 minutes later, then 15 minutes, with the final no show cab 1 hour 15 minutes later. What a disappointed for the aging, that looks forward to freedom with an outing by himself.
If you have a choice, NO NOT USE Yellow cab, unless you want wait and get disappointed.

I called ahead this morning requesting a taxi at west Oakland Bart but they refused to send someone saying they usually have cars here. I arrived and no taxis so I called, they said 7 min till one arrives, no worries, the guy arrived 10 min later and refused to pick me up because I didn’t have cash. Next guy same thing. I called taxi co again and they said they’ll send some one again. It’s 1025, I’ve been waiting since 10, this really sucks.

Just had a great experience. Khan, the driver, was courteous, prompt, and professional. We made several stops and he got me to my final destination with no problems. Probably the best taxi experience I’ve had in Oakland.
