Starbucks

Have no opinion on the coffee here (assume it’s the usual SB), but the people here are great! My wallet was lost at the Oakland airport, and was dropped here. John, the manager, took the time to track my number down and called me to let me know. Of course, no cash left, but my driver’s license was there as well as my cards (I had already called my bank & credit c to cancel)
But the place did look neat and clean, unlike some SBs I’ve been in.

No complaints here. They are fast, friendly and good. They have a lot of selection. Even when it’s busy you don’t wait long.

i come here to mainly to see Aussie! without her i wouldn’t have come to this Starbucks, she is five star.

Stopped here couple times for a much needed caffeine-​fix on my way to work, only because there is almost no other place on BayFarm island to even get mediocre coffee and a cookie.
The staff was nice, but the area was definitely VERY shady. All those warning signs everywhere asking you to leave nothing in your car made one feel very jittery, and I couldn’t wait to rush back to my car. There seemed to be a lot of airport goers bringing business to this place, but the second time I was there, I noticed a very sketchy construction worker who didn’t seem to understand the concept of personal space. He just had to stand 2 inches away from you in line, even though there was no one behind him. Didn’t help moving further away, because he kept coming onto you anyway.
They need more police officers patrolling this area, seriously. But in lieu of that, never stopping here ever again.

Average Starbucks. Area is little sketchy. I was worried about my car whole time I was there.

This Starbucks is very handy to the airport, AND they have charger pads built into the tabletops, a big plus… but you’ll want to keep one eye on your car. Plus, they do so much business, I guess they don’t feel they need to be overly friendly. In particular, that one guy with the full beard. I don’t know his name; they don’t have names on their aprons here! You’ll know him if you go here. (Oh, the last time I was in there, there were no chargers for iPhones. Mentioning this to staff evoked little more than a shrug.) You may fare better at the nearby Starbucks on Edgewater.

Ask for decaf. No decaf. Reason: there is no demand for it. I just requested one, didn’t I?
The young male employee need some serious training. His attitude was like this:
No decaf. That is it. Now get out.

For the last few years I’ve been coming to this starbucks but they have always clised 5 minutes before as far as i knowit said 8pm not 755 for some reason they do it a lot

I came here for the first time around 830−930ish I usually go to the on in San leandro near the freeway, anyways I told the chubby girl Iwanted a salted caramel mocha FRAP, she made it warm when I confronted her about it she claimed I never said frap, my cousin even heard me. She gave me a big attitude, asked me what do I want her to do, I was so mad I just left. Never coming here again.

My favorite Starbucks to go to! I come here at least once a week, sometimes once every few weeks depends on how busy I am and if I have time going into the office since its a little out of my ways, buuuut they ALWAYS get my drink right so it’s worth the drive. Everywhere else (Hegenberger, South Shore, Park St. And Blanding) never seem to get my drink right. Baristas are always awesome! I feel bad for not remembering my favorite baristas name. I’ll make that my mission.

Get ur mace ready! This place is always swarming with bums looking to get ur emotions going with a sad story. It’s near the airport so the local sheisters know lots of out of towners. stop here which is why I assume its infested with bums every day.
The drinks are as they should be. No one is bubbly and smiling, no matter what time of day it is. But it is Starbucks. And they have what the other. starbucks have. Just watch ur surroundings.

For such a large location, the seating is not that plentiful. Lots of exterior seating options. WIFI is soooooooo slow. Parking can be tough to find, there’s a chevron gas station nearby and a subway. Ehh still a good location to hang around on my way home to wait out the traffic.

Service with the team has changed, I can account that yesterday morning, especially when it’s Sunday and a Holiday and they’re open and working hard. Much appreciated and shout out to Aussie again.

Slow service. And by slow, i mean they need to have at least 3 people working any any time of the day. Both times I’ve went, they had 2 people working and at least 5 people waiting for drinks (not including the ones that are still ordering)
Drinks are bad (I had a venti vanilla frap that tasted like milk + ice + sugar)
Location wise, it’s great, close to the airport and near 98^th st freeway exit.

Never again will I come to this starbucks again, this afternoon I went in simply to buy my kids a cold frap and the employee there was extremely rude the entire visit, he wouldn’t help me figure which drink I was looking for. This was a huge disappointment coming to this location. The service there is flat out sad and pathetic. His words were the menu is behind me can’t you see and rolled his eyes.

Barista Romell on cell phone while making my drinks which it took him like 15min to have them ready and was not even a busy time. And my Tiramisu was less than ¾ full with no taste. Last time I’ll be coming in here.

Parking marked this stores rating down, it’s horrible.
Once you get inside this turns into a pleasant event. Staff are friendly and fast. Just have get parked around all the folks that take more than one space to park.

I used to work at this store and desperately feel a need to review and encourage the people that put their heart and soul into it.
98^th is not an easy store to run. If any of you Unilocalers have worked in the hospitality industry, you know how rough this field can be.
1. A high, (and I mean HIGH) amount of overly rude, messy, demanding customers.
2. Angry, stripping homeless druggies. (That don’t leave no matter what you threaten or offer!). To the point where it is dangerous for the employees.
Despite the odds, these baristas have continuously put in the work that it takes to develop such a seemingly doomed location:
Romell, Noël, Aussie and Lisa. You are the heart of this store. You put in the time, the work. Keep it up :)
To everyone with «the Monday blues», Starbuckians have the same blues. We know that our job requires us to be up by 2am, but some of us don’t live off of coffee.

I suck up going to this Starbucks because it’s close to work and I find their creations taste a bit better than my work’s café.
You should know though that this rating is pretty generous.
The outside of this location isn’t the very clean. Also, there’s a 3 in 4 chance the staff will get your drink or food order right. Ugh.

This place is so so

Has OK amount of seating
Has food like other starbucks so you can go about eating
This place is OK, service was OK, the place wasn’t as clean as I would have liked it to have been, but it sells starbucks coffee. Not my favorite place to go because it’s busy since it’s right next to a Chevron.
