Cool place they have western union and every kinda lotto ticket you can think of. They also have a nice wine collection

Very typical liquor store. Slightly run down feel as you might expect. Passable beer selection, but nothing really compelling that makes it worth returning. I didn’t check out the snack selection, but probably much as you’d expect. Ho hum.

Glad that they have western union but they are not knowledgeable when it comes to sending money to a federal prison. But lucky for the next person that needs to do it because I was the guinea pig. It took about twenty mins but hey… it happened

This is a full liquor store that carrys item from lotto tickets, chips, snacks, beers, package sandwhiches, slupees, incense, condoms, and du-rags. All for the convience of people who are low income staying at local borderline hotels. Clean place friendly employees mostly 2 guys are up front ringing up people. I just come here to get lotto results for office pool. Come here only on days with big payouts our office only plays if it’s $ 15 million or more. Occasionally I will eventually get a scratcher if I feeling somewhat lucky for $ 1 if not I just get a pack of blue diamond natural almonds. The area is downtown and if I were to compare this to sf I would say a place like 6th/market now you know. Outside of place you will always indefinately encounter drunks and homeless people hitting you up for change. Some in wheelchairs, fire hydrant, newspaper racks, against the wall. There is no way of escaping them as they’re there from the moment the store opens til closing and some still linger around. Today after hearing about power ball coming to california after lunch I took a walk and wanted some info on it as the jackpots are always bigger than $ 15 million. Again be on your guards don’t get caught slipping! Walk in, grab item, pay and leave, keeping walking making no eye contact!

It was small and cramped with people. Lots of things going on at one time behind the counter. They might want to stick to either selling convenience store products or check cashing and money gram. The service was pretty much blah. Not really nice, not really mean. It was ok for what we needed at the moment.

in the olde times when i needed to get a mag or some brew, i can easily park nearby, go in and get it. beats looking for parking to go to dalauers or wasting time going to bewmo.

I really like this ghetto mart because it is the closest one to 12th Street BART that sells beer. Very handy.

Does every crackhead come to cash their check here? Damn! This place is open early and the bums are too to get their alcohol and lottery ticket fix. It’s kinda sad, but what are ya gonna do? That’s Downtown Oakland for ya. It’s aiight though. Once you get past the D-Boys hangin’ out front, it’s a regular corner store with all the snacks and drinks you want.
