I love this place! One of the best in Oakland forsure in my opinion. The delivery takes about 45-an hour, but the wait is well worth it. Very friendly people!

Now I see why Kanye looks so angry in that pic this place is a mess. The chicken tikka masala tastes like the tomato sauce in those horrible chef boyardee meals and the chicken is dry as a bone. The garlic naan was not fresh at all. The tandoori chicken is only passable and on top of that they charge for rice… do yourself a huge favor and go to Shaan or flavors of India. I want my money back

Had lunch buffet with friend before my flight at nearby oakland airport. Not impressed. Water thin chicken tikka masala with hard chicken chunks, water thin chicken curry, meh Daal and forgettable spinach, pulverized eggplant bharta, brightly colored but tasteless tandoori chicken, decent naan and rice. No salad or dessert(just as well). Very low ROI on $ 11.99 price tag. Closer to 2 stars than 3. Friendly staff and my generous disposition pushes it to 3.

Not good. Tried to first scam me by charging card different amount from register. Then once I caught that, he fixed it. I then checked my card statement and he had charged a different amount and adjusted the charge for an additional tip, that I did not write. Some of the men working there were nice, but quality of food was poor, it was freezing inside and out lunch was spent listening to the employees watching you tube on phones. I wouldn’t have written a bad review but the bogus tip adjustment just perturbed me. Not worth the $ 13.19 with tax for the buffet.

Sounded like a good idea it was close to the hotel, walking distance. We gave it a try. The place was empty. The service was slow and the food was the worst indian food that i ever had! They served it in a regular bowl, which was new to me. I was told by a lady that if i wanted good indian food to go to the bay area. Boi do i have a bone to pick with her now for lying lol. They brought us one plate of rice when we ordered a whole bunch of entrees the rice looked like regular long grain rice not the authentic basmati rice. Thats not the worst tho. That food made every one sick! My wife threw up, i threw up, my comadre threw up my brother was trying to throw up but he said his mouth just kept on getting real watery lol we all got sick! Lesson learned big mistake never again will i eat there.

Friendly, fast, and 3 minutes from the airport. If you are getting on a plane, do yourself a favor and stop by instead of eating airplane food. If you are hungry getting off a plane at OAK, its worth a stop. Men’s room needs some repairs.

Below average Indian. I had the buffet and tried the chicken tikka masala. The chicken was very tough and dry. The saag was ok. The chicken tandoori was ok. This isn’t a large buffet and the food average to below average. The curry chicken was excellent. The flavor wasn’t quite like other chicken curries that I’ve had, but I didn’t care because it was so good. It was very tender and melted in your mouth. If I go back, I’ll skip the buffet and order the chicken curry. The service was very good.

I went to this place, ordered chicken karahi and prawns. Did not like the tase, even the mango lassi was not good, so we asked the waiter to change the lassi for us, thankfully the lassi he bought the second time was good. Except for the lassi which he bought second time, did not like anything.

A couple of unique things about this place. The location is unusual being in the blasted zone that surrounds the airport. From the outside this place looks sketchy as all get out. That econolodge which shares the lot is terrible. Once inside however everything changes. They’ve painted the inside, there’s stained glass, and the seating while not new is comfortable. I recommend the tables as at least one of the booths totally needs some upholstery work. The staff when I went went out of his way to make us feel comfortable. The food here is exceptional. It’s halal of course, but the veg dishes are pretty good and the meat dishes are spectacular. There are some limited delivery ranges and options-I think they are still experimenting –which include fish and chips and pizza. Can’t speak for the quality of those items, but the goat vindaloo is the best in Oakland. The panneer tikka was also solid. I went during the run up to Eid ul-Adha, so it might have been busier then it would otherwise have been. Totally worth every penny spent. One small downside you should be aware of: I recommend that you park as close to the restaurant as possible, preferably within line of sight. DONOT leave anything valuable visible from the windows of your car. That whole stretch of hegenberger rd is experiencing a wave of smash and grabs from parked cars.

It’s cheap Indian food. The flavors are bland and the meat is poor quality. The only positive it that they deliver. I won’t be back.

Had to rush over and try Lazeena as soon as I saw it on Unilocal!A Indian buffet in my neighborhood-great! The buffet was fine, several chicken selections and 1 goat entrée. There was rice and about 4 vegetable choices and naan is brought to the table(yum!) My mom and I were both happy with our meals and the water was ice cold :) My mom ordered the gulab jamun off the menu separate and was very happy(it is her favorite). The gentleman working the counter was very nice and available. I am so happy to find a decent Indian buffet in Oakland right in my backyard! We will be back!

Good food, friendly people. If you are looking for ambiance or very attentive service you won’t be happy here. I had the lunch buffet, price posted of $ 11.99 and the food was all identified. It could have been hotter, but was by no means cold. I love that there were three veggie options on the steam table, along with my favorites goat curry and chicken tikka masala, roasted seasoned chicken legs. The chutney was delicious as was the rice pudding. The naan was cooked perfectly.

My husband and I came up for his business trip and didn’t feel like leaving the hotel. We decided on ordering Indian and this was the first restaurant to pop up that had good reviews and online ordering. BUUUT… We were charged for two orders of lamb curry even though we only ordered one, and when we opened our food it was a slimy, greasy mess. The best part about the meal was the garlic naan which was great. The food had decent flavor, but it’s the worst Indian food we’ve had so far. If you love Indian food, try somewhere else. This will only disappoint and frustrate.
