My sister lead me to Laugh City on a recent visit to the Bay Area. I had just gone to a comedy venue in LA and left early when the first and then second comedians started harassing several people in the audience. Cheap third grade humor. Not funny.
I was hesitant, needless to say, about trying out another comedy place. Laugh City, however, was great! A cool blend of hip and intelligent. The place was packed when we went, but it felt pretty cozy. The lineup was super strong. (My sister says it always is.) The food was good. I’ll be back the next time I visit my sister!

This was the best comedy show I have ever been to. Yes, way better than any comedy club you’ll find in SF. The food was eclectic and delicious and wait staff was very friendly. There were several different comics and all had different styles and points of view which was great. I wouldn’t just want to hear the same joke reworded for an hour and a half. I really like the Jacky Harry drink and the amazing Asian tacos, can’t wait to try more food. I will go back with friends.

Laugh City is has shows every 2^nd & 4^th Saturday inside in the upstairs of Spice Monkey. Which is too bad because they should have shows every week!
I came to the 9:00 PM show. I was already impressed when I walked in and saw a fountain in the front. The menu wasn’t your typical comedy club menu. They had a lamb burger, noodle dishes and fancy cocktails.
The Headliner had appeared on Comedy Central and was hilarious! Laugh City brings a wide array of performers that differentiate in race, age and performance style. I like that all the performers are an authentic representation of the Bay Area.
All the comics were very funny. Laugh City is my go to spot in the bay area for laughs over Punchline & Cobb’s now. Will definitely will be back!

I love Laugh City. I’ve been a big fan of comedy over the years and I can’t recommend this room enough. This place has hands down the best food I’ve ever had at a comedy venue, HADNS DOWN. I love the lamb burger, and the asian tacos. Try them, you will not regret it. Also, the comedy line ups are consistently super strong. This is definitely being added to my list of date night alternatives! :)
