Tough to find anything to complain about at this solid, inexpensive, and somewhat charming breakfast joint.

This a gem in Oakland. The owners, Jenn & Debbie are the best. They treat you like family from the moment you walk in to the second you leave. The food is great as well. From the coffee to the unique sandwiches, everything is delicious. The waitresses know your name(thanks Robin & Jane) and know your order. If your in the area definitely stop by, you’ll love it.

JD’s has been a regular spot for me since they opened a few years ago and I can confidently say that I have never had a bad experience here. From the food to the coffee to the service everything is fantastic. Try the Coopster or the JDwich for lunch, and the Whitey if it’s breakfast time. But really you can’t go wrong with anything you choose. I would give it 10 stars if I could.

I love this place. It’s literally where everyone knows your name, how you take your coffee, or iced tea. Everything I’ve ever eaten has been cooked perfect ! Never sent a dish back ! And you can’t beat the prices or the friendly waitress’s .JDS rocks. Everything is made from scratch so if it takes a few minutes sit back and relax !

JDs is our absolute favorite breakfast and lunch spot in town. You could not ask for better more friendly service and the food is always fresh and taste Deb and Jen make you feel like family weather you’re a regular or a first timer. If you have not been to JDs make it a priority on your next trip out, the price is right and you will leave happy.

JDs is like the café they always meet up at in the show«Friends». You know you’ll get a smile, great service, great food, and most likely see a bunch of your friends upon entering this warm, happy, small town establishment. They’re constantly changing up the specials, brewing new flavors of coffee, cooking delicious homemade soup… And their breakfast is phenomenal. I absolutely love this place!!! I want a JDs shirt!!! Woo!

JD’s is one of the best deli’s around. You will never go wrong and anything you order is outstanding. I have never had dry bread, so I can not agree with that statement. Always top notch and staff is wonderful! A most try!!!

2.5. Decent deli/diner with a nice staff and great menu. I wasn’t all that impressed with the deli meats, but I love the fact that sandwiches are served with chips and a pickle. I haven’t tried the many salads from the deli case, but they looked good. Fair prices, worth stopping in for breakfast or lunch if you’re nearby and looking for something easy. Fantastic coffee selection :)

3.5 stars… JD’s is a simple place to grab a cheap breakfast, soup, or sandwich in the Oakland area. It’s really a no fills kind of place with a number of tables and pleasant service. As far as sandwiches go you can pick one of their 17 or so signature combos or make your own. Sandwiches come with chips and a pickle and are generally in the $ 6 – 8 range. I thought mine was good except for the hero roll which was terribly dry and borderline inedible. I also was shocked to find out that they close at 4pm on weekdays, 2:30pm on Saturday, and 1pm on Sunday. Everyone I was with loved their sandwiches on the regular round rolls so maybe I just got an old hero roll. I wouldn’t be opposed to coming back here but only with limited expectations.
