They get a 4 star bc LILy is the best with eyebrows, now for other services no, dnt even waste your money. But for waxing YES, IT WILL BE WORTH IT

Lily does a great job every time. Always giving me advice on how to clean my eyebrows and fill them in. She will wax, thread and pluck it to perfection. It tends to get busy at times but it’s a friendly atmosphere. The only downside is parking. Definitely my go-​to place to get my eyebrows, upper lip and nails done.

I just had my nails done here for the first time. and it was not what I expected. They gave me THE WORST manicure I’ve ever had in my entire life.
I try not to discriminate places based on their Unilocal reviews. but man.this place was horrible. First off, the lady that was going to do my manicure already had an attitude when I walked in. I told her I didn’t want them «too square» and did the complete opposite. When I told her it’s not how I wanted them, she got all defensive and said that’s how I said I wanted it. When I reiterated that I wanted them more curved, she got defensive again and said that that’s not what i asked for. When she began painting on my French tips, I told her that she didn’t fully remove my gel polish I previously had on. My nails were cloudy as hell! Again, she got mad and called someone over. When they looked at them, I’m not sure if they could sense my frustration, so they asked me to move to a different station so I could be helped. Miss angry pants (she was holding my hand, as a manicurist should) threw my hand to side and walked away. UHHH.RUDE.
Long story short. I did end up getting a manicure but halfway through I was contemplating on leaving. Maybe I should have. I left there with crooked nails, a below average polish job, and an irritated mood (mine, and the rude ass nail lady). I only live a few blocks away from here, but I’d rather drive down to grand ave to get my nails done. Plenty of nail shops with wonderful customer service as well as good quality.

I have had services at J’s previously before the remodel (and restaffing). Though the salon was slightly unkempt the service was always friendly and I felt pampered.
After my experience at the remodeled J’s today I don’t think I’ll be going back.
First off, they have to buzz you in. Then they have about 5 – 6 nail techs working but only one woman can do eyelashes and eyebrows so beware of you get this particular lady that she will be getting up and helping others before you.
I will say that they did a nice job on my nails even though Liling or Lingling (not sure of her name, she is also the eyebrow lady) argued with me when I asked her to change my nail polish before she even finished both hands.
I thought the service was rude and I did not appreciate how «busy» they were even though two women basically stood around observing the whole time.
If you go here just for eyelashes, brows and designs it’s okay, but poor reviews for everything else.

i been going to J lovely nails for a long time they are very good in nails i like how Sunny does nails. i have done my eyelashes done there and i love it. their price is a little too much but i have passed by the place after comparing to many nail shops in every city i think so far their cheap. i seen that there fills are now $ 9 it was $ 14 & up. they have their section nice and neatly clean. but the only thing is that when i would go in to get my feet looking nice they don’t trun on the jets nor massage your legs its called a spa so i was hoping to get the whole nine yards. other then that its a nice neat place and clean. its just up my street no need for me to get the car and mess up my nails.

I am not sure what to say about these people but I have gotten my nails done here at least 5 times. I come in today 02−20−14 and the older lady says that no one is willing to do my nails. I am a loyal customer and I have never had any confrontations with anyone. What I can say is that th3 wax breaks my face out and they don’t do nails that well. If you want to be treated horribly then you should stop by.

I see why this place is a ghost town.
They’re not up-​to-​date with nail shapes, so if you’re not getting the regular square shape. don’t try it.
Nail colors, didn’t have much of a variety in addition they didn’t carry nail color name brand polish, more watered down lacquer type of polish.
Glad I noticed the red flags before I continued with going forward with services.
This is the last time I will cheat on Kim nails on fruitvale. I’m actually running back to Kim’s now lol.

So like an idiot I decided to cheat on my nail shop and go here to get my eyebrows done. I’ve should of never did that. The moment I sat in the chair and when one of the staff begin to draw on my eyebrows to determine where to put the wax, that’s when I should of left, but once again like an idiot I stayed. My eyebrows looked so HORRIBLE to the point where I had to go to a different nail shop so they can fix what they fucked up. They say «never say never, but NEVER will I trip and fall into this nail shop ever in my life.

This was the worst, pedicure i have ever got. the look like the specialize in nail designs, but i wont be going back to see.

Love this place I’ve tired others but keep coming back. They do eyebrows, lashes and have books and books of nail designs u name it they do it

This place is clean and up to date with the newest designs for nails, techniques for waxing and threading and fake eyelashes.

been coming here for years but tired of they high prices and not real gel! they are very good at nails but dont use real gel but charge for it! sunny is very good at brows! they are pretty friendly… clean yes but ive seen mice running around and yes thats nasty! they have people doing mani’s and pedi’s who dont have a lic. they designs are hella clean but not worth the price seriously ($ 10-​$ 25 design only)…but its my place to come just for brows!!! cant just let anyone touch em!
