25 minute wait for food when the restaurant was half empty. Some potatoes were not cooked through(raw crunch) in home fries. Kraft singles cheese used in omelet. «Doughy» biscuits. Apple juice tasted as if some other liquid was used to dilute. Perhaps I ordered the wrong thing but I definitely wouldn’t lose any sleep about not returning here.

All I can say is everything here is DELICIOUS !!! Family own business with excellent service. The menu has a lot to choose from, it’s hard to make up your mind. I usually go with the French toast combo with a side of home fries and chicken apple sausage(mouth watering right now). Oh and don’t forget the homemade biscuits!!! The food is always consisted since Mom is the only one who is on the burners !!! This is most definitely my go to place for breakfast and a late brunch! Try the fresh smoothies and Arnold Palmer

A trip in from Seattle to visit my brother is never complete until we’ve had breakfast at Diggery Inn at some point. They have a nice little outside area we can sit with the pup and enjoy some eggs benedict. The portions are more than generous and the service sociable. It’s a coming home of sorts for someone out of town. That is exactly what I want for a place that is going to serve me some solid comfort food.

Great breakfast selection. They are only open for breakfast and lunch. Very friendly staff! If you go there often enough, they get to know you by name. I had the pancakes with eggs and bacon. My scrambled eggs were a bit«wetter» than I like them, but now I know to ask for dry scrambled eggs. We will return again. Thanks

We have discovered what Diggery does quite well, besides frying eggs. A double cheeseburger with Swiss surprised me at how good it was for a simple cheap burger. I asked for medium, and it came a little closer to the medium-rare side which was perfect for me. It was juicy and surprisingly tasty. Fresh tomato, lettuce and mayo are standard, along with a raw onion slice which I took off. I took the option of potato salad. Spouse liked it, I didn’t. It’s Miracle Whip and dill pickle relish, not my favorite combination. Next time I’ll get a fruit salad side. I’d rather come here than to Park Burger, in fact. Not up to Flipside’s standards, but it’ll do when hubby wants breakfast and I don’t.

Love this place. The service and food was absolutely amazing. We sat outside and it was a beautiful day. Our waitress was friendly, funny, and on point. I had the fresh fruit french toast and bacon yummy. I will go back soon.

Bright and airy with an excellent and varied menu. I had the strawberry/banana smoothie along with the chicken sandwich and the potato salad was to die for! My love had the strawberry/mango smoothie and the tuna melt. We loved our experience and will be back!

I love this place. It’s my go to spot for a nice weekend meal or a lunch meeting. Options are plentiful and waitresses are too sweet. On top of all that it’s family own and operated. Got support a place like that. Downside it’s not open in the evening, exclusively breakfast and lunch spot. It’s a must try

We love this sunny and open brunch spot. We come every Sunday and have tried many of the items on a wide ranging menu that should suit every taste. An excellent menu of benedicts and omelets and plenty of kid’s staples like pancakes, fruits and omelets. The service has a family feel and the waitresses always dote on our daughter. Sometimes a bit of a wait for the food but beats waiting outside for a seat at Diggery’s overrated neighbors.

We have been coming to this place every Sunday for brunch for months. Staff is unbelievably nice and friendly. We are greeted with our favorite drinks, seconds after we crossed the front door… Also, on one occasion one of ladies, spontaneously offered to take care of our daughter while she was throwing a fit. Within seconds little girl was calm and staff were all giggling with her around the bar! Such above and beyond service is not found often… Food is still great, we are simply experiencing a great restaurant community!

1st time having breakfast here. My order was 2 sunny side up with Canadian bacon, wheat toast and orange juice. Food were fast and so was service. It was 8am on a Monday and we were the only one here. Canadian bacon was ok and the eggs was the same. It’s really a convenience place to eat and plenty of meter parking on the street.

An incredible opportunity missed, this perfectly located restaurant in the Glenview district has too many disappointing things on the menu for me to recommend it. I can only think that some of the overly positive ratings must have come many years ago. The service was glacial, the home fries bland and inconsistently cooked, a kids plate of chicken nuggets and french fries would have been better from a Costco samples table, biscuits did not resemble anything that I am familiar with, and somehow they made even a side of bacon taste unappetizing. Great location, generous portions, but I cannot recommend the food – and that is why I go out to restaurants. If I missed a truly stellar menu item, I doubt that I will go back to find out.

What a missed opportunity to offer great food in a great neighborhood. Omelet with spinach, tomato and feta was tasty. Home fried were inconsistently cooked. Big coffee cups with pretty good coffee. Noise level was HIGH! Restaurant was half full and most everyone had to yell to be heard. Not somewhere to bring your more senior family members. I am surprised that there were no other comments on the noise level. A little tweaking by the cook would go a looooong way!

Terrible customer service. Had our food come to the table well after other tables had sat after ours ordered after ours. Ask to add items to my order, they came on the side. Food was under cooked, perhaps because they knew that our order was forgotten. Bland as hell. I will never come back here.

I love it here. I am always treated well and the food is good. Sometimes I come twice a week. They know my fav dishes. It’s a great neighborhood diner for breakfast and lunch. I’m glad that they added a POS system so that now customers have the option to pay with cash or credit card. I love their coffee and home fries! I require those two things no matter what else I order from here. The free wifi is a nice plus.

The food isn’t amazing, but it’s good, there are options for everyone, the prices are reasonable(and they accept cards now!), and the staff is friendly and gracious. THEBANANAMILKSHAKEBLOWSMYMIND — it truly is amazing. The bananas are perfectly ripe, the flavor is fresh and delicious, the milkshake perfectly thick and creamy. Overall a great brunch spot to have in the neighborhood.

Not far from shabby buildings, giant pot holes, and Oakland High, a cute strip of adorable shops and restaurants is nestled into a cozy upper middle to high class neighborhood. This area is not easily run across by the average Joe, but the savvy Unilocaler surely must check it out. Nursing wooziness from a fun and sexy night in the city, «breakfast served all day» was an immediate draw. «famous omelet» was also scrawled across the window. Sold. All the best of a family owned, neighborhood restaurant can be found at Diggery Inn. While my «famous omelet» was much more akin to a scramble than any type of omelet, it was really really tasty! Egg whites, avocado, bacon, spinach, mushrooms, swiss cheese. Heaven. My man had the chorizo omelet, which was also really tasty! Home style potatoes were lacking a bit in flavor and seasoning(nothing hot sauce and ketchup can’t fix) but had large pieces, a nice rustic crust, and soft potato centers. The bagel toast was underwhelming(two super thin slices of a plain white bagel that had been cut into 5+ slices) but came hot and buttery. The biscuits were kind of rubbery and lacked a bit of flavor. The coffee was average but acceptable and came frequently and in really great mugs. The service was really amazing and friendly. The ambiance is cozy and clean. CASHONLY! If you really want some breakfast and are in the area, I would suggest it. While not the worlds most amazing/high-end/innovative breakfast place, it is a-ok!
