Let’s face it… we rarely find anyone that is eager to take a stroll down to the dentist’s office. I even hate going there for simple teeth-cleaning appointment, afraid that the dentist might find something that needs fixing. So I came home for a few days and decided that it was about time I got my teeth cleaned. My mom booked an appointment for me with this new dentist that turned out to be amazing. The dentist was extremely friendly and gentle. I usually hate it when the dentist flosses my teeth because it always seems as though they’re in a hurry and they end up piercing right through your gums. This dentists was different and it was almost relaxing. He told me at the end that I had a couple of cavities and that I would have to come back to fix them. However, I was only in town for a couple of days before leaving for Boston so there was no way for me to come back in a week. Although he was completely booked for the next few days, he was kind enough to squeeze me in the next day. I highly recommend this dentist if you don’t want to leave feeling like you’ll never want to go back to the dentist again.

Errr. I’m no dental professional, but I don’t see the need to get dental x-rays every time I came in for a routine exam/cleaning(no major dental work) yet this is what he did every time I visited. Perhaps this was their way to milk the insurance billing system, who knows. He has also worked on several of my relatives, nearly every time the work was done poorly and they eventually had to visit another doctor to get it done right. An example that stands out quite vividly is the time my mom went in to get some normal procedure done, he poked around in the wrong places and for the next several days her cheek was bruised and swollen to the point where it looked like she had stuffed 2 or 3 golf balls between her teeth and the cheek of her mouth, it was so bad that she could barely open her eye.

Back in elementary school days as I treaded among Lincoln’s shabby, ugly grounds, this was my safe haven for my mouth. Their receptionist, who has worked their for oh-so-long, is like, TOTALLY my type! She manages to pull of this dewy look with a hint of rosy colour to the tip of her nose and cheeks. Wow. she is so spectacular to gawk at… *sigh.* Now I have to see another dentist, which sucks.
