Just had the veggie burrito & it was AMAZING. The beans were cooked well. They’re weren’t dry at all. The rice was the best part. It was cooked very nicely. The salsa added the right amount of spice. * I ordered without the vegetables.

Small, casual Mexican restaurant and bar in concourse 2 next to gate 29. My husband and I had an hour to kill before our flight & most of the airport restaurants did not have very good reviews. Andale’s reviews were good and who doesn’t love Mexican food?! I ordered a Mexican Omelet, which was filled with cheeses, veggies, and avocado. It came with good refried black beans, yummy breakfast potatoes, and cantaloupe. Unfortunately, the inside of the omelet was not fully cooked, so the eggs were runny. I showed it to the manager to let her know and she insisted on making a new one. The second omelet was cooked well, had great flavor, & even a little kick with the green sauce they topped it with. Great meal and service!

Well I just ordered a burrito with tofu«sautéed» in red salsa. Let me tell you about it… it was salsa warmed up in a pan with some deep fried tofu thrown on top. If I wanted deep fried tofu then I certainly would have asked. For a $ 11 burrito I expected more. Not to mention this burrito only comes with tofu, salsa, cilantro rice and black beans. Winning. Winning nothing that is.

The omelette a la Mexicana was average but the potatoes that came with it were undercooked and still a little hard. Also the refried pinto beans weren’t the black beans that were promised on the menu. They get 2 stars for being open early and a reasonable option at the airport. They’re not worth the money or your time if you weren’t already here.

ALWAYS the best food and drink in Terminal 2. Fast and lively service. You can order food from the bar. Careful, doubles are double the price.

Maybe the best breakfast I’ve had at an airport. Good restaurant right at the end of the southwest terminal. Very fast service, several tv’s with multiple stations playing. Food is great for an airport. Had the Mexican omelette breakfast with the apple sausage on the side. Was surprised how good it was.

This is one of the better places to eat at the Oakland airport, but mind you… It’s an airport restaurant. If you are expecting this to be as good as Tamarindo in Oakland, then keep dreaming. But it’s good food to go that’s fresh, reasonably priced, usually well packaged for your flight, and reasonably quick(my food has never taken more than five minutes). Having been here a couple times before, I’ve had the chicken salad with avocado and all sorts of other fresh vegetables, the chicken tortilla soup, and a vegetarian burrito. All are decent, though I prefer the soup and salad because they are lighter. The salads are also available to go on little fridges. I prefer getting them fresh made. The soup can be a little oily, but it’s not as much food as the burrito and the broth is comforting. The beans in the burrito are also not overly mushy, a complaint I have of many burrito shops, including sometimes chipotle. None of their food if very spicy though, so keep that in mind if it’s what you’re looking to eat and grab some of the spicy salsas on the way out.

One of the reasons I love Unilocal is because I can share my positive experiences with others, especially when you are in «not ideal» situations. We have twin boys and traveling isn’t always easy and especially having a meal at the airport. Although Andale’s was packed, the staff were very friendly and helpful and even though their restaurant didn’t have high chairs, they helped us get some from another place. The adjoining café(part of Andale’s, I’m sure) had perfect items for little ones. I was able to get milk, hard boiled eggs and organic yogurt for them. And, my hubby and I were able to enjoy lunch(great food!) and a margarita(they were excellent!) before our flight. The sweetest employee also filled our sippy cups with filtered water for us. I would definitely recommend this place!

Wow, for airport food, this was really good. Got the veggie burrito which came with a side salad with yummy dressing, avocados and tomatoes as well as a small amount of chips(5 maybe?). Service was friendly and quick. I actually went out of my way, waaaaaay past my gate to eat here because of the Unilocal reviews, and glad I did. Dropped a star because it was a bit spendy for having no meat on my burrito. I’d easily go back though!

Apparently I checked in here. I don’t remember this. I assume its because it was a bar on the way to New Orleans and it got me very drunk. SOFIVESTARSTOYOUGOODSIR!

I have gotten the steak supreme burrito every time I’ve come here and love it! It’s a good size and it comes with a small salad and chips. The meat is cooked well and I like how soft, but thick, the tortilla is. The burrito goes great with the salsa they have in the salsa bar. They’re friendly workers and efficient even though it gets busy.

Andale does airport food«pretty well.» It’s not the same as eating in one of their restaurants, but it’s more than serviceable. On my recent visit, Andale far outranked SWA who couldn’t put me on a flight after a mechanical issue. I got to spend $ 12 at Andale, $ 24 on parking, get up at 3:30AM in addition to wasting 7 hours of my day. Andale gets a burrito-shaped trophy for being the best part of my shitty Monday. 3 solid stars.

Decent food in an airport! I got the California Omlette for a late breakfast, which was packed with bacon and real avocado. They said a fruit cup came with the meal, but it was only 5 small pieces in a smaller-than-a-normal-ramekin ramekin. Veggies that came with it were a little sad, but still ok. Later for lunch I got a salad to go, which had good quality garlic olive oil dressing, chicken, romaine, tomatoes and goat cheese. Yum! Not amazing, but I’d go here if I’m ever in the Oakland airport again. Also I had to wait way too long for my food, Bc a woman took my plate of food from the window and ate it. Keep your eyes open if you have a deadline. Thankfully I didn’t.

I’ve not known OAK to be an airport full of fantastic food options, but then again, we can’t all be PDX. So when I was looking for a combination breakfast and lunch, I found this to be satisfactory. It’s by gate 25 in Terminal 2(Southwest) and it was worth trying over the obnoxiousness of the schmengy food court back near security. It’s a Mexican bar and eatery, using that term kind of loosely. Mostly I think I would classify it as an airport Mexican bar and eatery. I sidled up to the counter, grabbed a drink, ordered the huevos con chorizo breakfast platter, and then about went through the roof when it came to $ 20. Look, I know airports are going to rip you off, but this was above and beyond. A $ 20 breakfast in the real world isn’t unheard of, but for a quick serve restaurant with a small menu, that’s a lot. I guess a $ 6 drink(this is just a juice, for the record) pushed an already pricey meal over the top, but that’s just too expensive. The plate itself was pretty underwhelming. A couple of eggs, scrambled, with some chorizo, a slathering of black beans across a small part of it, underripe cantaloupe and melon in a microscopic ramekin, and some sort of veggies(potatoes?) that were clearly not memorable. Again, my bar is low, and it’s totally just fine food, but it wouldn’t hold its own outside of the airport.

All I wanted before my one-hour flight to Orange County was a quick bite, so I stopped at Oakland Airport’s Andale for a couple of veggie tacos($ 10.25) and some chips for the salsa bar. Darling at the register asked if I wanted them fajita style or ranchera. I asked what the difference was and she said fajita had vegetables and ranchera had sauce. I couldn’t picture what crispy tacos full of sauce would look like, so I ordered the fajita-style grilled veggies.(I later looked up ranchera on their online menu and it described that style as tofu sautéed with Serrano salsa — sounds awesome!) A huge basket of chips arrived($ 4.50). I had only wanted enough for one person so I was a little upset that she hadn’t told me the plate COMES with chips for the salsa bar. My plate had a lot of chips on it so the big extra basket was just wasted. I wasn’t about to pack it up to carry onto the plane. The chips were pretty good I guess but I think an employee should ask if someone means a giant basket full. She did ask me if I wanted the chips and guacamole option when she was ringing me up, and since I had seen this on their menu I guess I thought that by declining that I was declining actually purchasing chips. I wasn’t given my receipt after my purchase, and since I wanted to see how much I’d paid for these I had to ask for it when the food was brought out. Twice! A small Mexican Coke for $ 3.25 brought my lunch to over $ 20, after taxes and the airport fee for health care(2%). I’d eat here — the food wasn’t bad — but I’d definitely pay more attention to what I was ordering and paying for next time.

Anadale’s breakfast burrito is the reason why I get excited about flying out of terminal 2 of the Oakland Airport. I’m not a fan of their quick already made to-go sandwiches(very dry), but you can’t go wrong with their chorizo breakfast burrito. The cooks and cashier always have a smile on their face, even at the ungodly hour of 6 a.m. Peets Coffee is right next to them which makes it easy to grab breakfast and a coffee before your flight.

I have been here 100000000 times. I have been flying out of Oakland at least four times a month for the past four years and I ALWAYS eat /drink here. They pour heavy! They only have CA wines :/but every bartender is a sweetheart :) I will be back, of course, because it’s the closest bar to gate 28!

Great service. Allow customers to order from Peet’s coffee too. Good hot chocolate and soups de tortilla for a sick customer. There are also California pizza and max’s sandwich nearby with the bay view. Updated: I am not sure if it is from hot chocolate or soup. I had diarrhea afterward. Pretty terrible when you have to be on 5 hour flight.

We have our usual pre-flight routine, burritos from Otaez and drinks from Pyramid, until the recent closure of Otaez in the Oakland Airport. :( We decided to give Andale a try and found a couple seats at the bar. I ordered a Margarita and my guy ordered a Dos Equis Amber Ale. My Margarita was so good, it was hard to hold onto and quickly finished it. Refreshing! We ordered a Carne Asada Burrito to split, which was pretty big. They have a salsa bar which has pretty good salsa and pickled carrots with jalapenos, it even encouraged us to order an extra order chips on the side to go with our meal. Food was pretty good for an airport bar, I can’t vouch for any of the pre-made boxed lunches, but it was nice to sit down and have a bite to eat before we took off.

My experience here was brief so I’ll keep this review short too. 3.5 stars. Three for the food/service. An extra half because I could watch the game while I wait for my ride/flight. I came in super hungry and ordered a chipotle carnitas burrito, a recommendation from one of the employees. The burrito was decently sized and came with the usual(black beans, rice, carnitas, ect.). Flavor was alright but that chipotle sauce was bland and I had to add some hot sauce. if I find myself eating at the airport again, it’s probably going to be here unless I’m in a hurry and just want a sandwich to take on my flight or something.
