Fast food twice in one day and more so, two reviews? Surely you jest, right?! Well her it is kids: Popeyes, Taco Bell and White Castle are my all time college favorites. As Meatloaf once said, «two out three ain’t bad. And for under $ 6, what more could you ask for? Today I opted for the 2 piece w/a biscuit and no sides. I ordered two spicy thighs, which in my humble opinion is the«ribeye» of chicken pieces. It is not Wiilie Mae Scotch, but it’s hot, quick and a fast option that is not a burger. My food was hot and fresh from the fryer. Dare I say so bad, yet so good? Counter service was good and the place was clean even at 8:45pm. This is a fairly new location and in my opinion a better option than the one on Sunrise Blvd. When you need your quick chicken fix, this might your best option in town. Biscuits!

When walked in and was greeted immediately. We had Dan as the cashier. He was so helpful,(comedian) asking us what we would like on my three piece chicken combo(do t forget to check in free hot apple pie really good) I had a wing, thigh and a leg with a biscuit n the mashed the gravy was great. Chicken not greese very crispy. The guy who took our ordered came out and ask the guest if all was well. Nice touch. Love the red lights. My husband loved the sweet tea a the free apple pie. Bön appétit

I wish I could give this location a negative star but since you can’t my review will have to do. I like Popeyes their spicy chicken is good and for the most part the employees tend to be nice. I went to this location last night and missed the closing of the lobby by a couple of minutes so had to use the drive thru. After paying for the food I asked if my wife could use the restroom it was an emergency and was rudely told no. The so called manger heard the whole conversation and did not say anything. He could of maned up and said I’m sorry but unfortunately policy says I can’t open the doors after the lobby closes but he chose to sit there and do nothing. Employees watch how their bosses react to situations and mimic them. I was happy when this location opened because it is close to me. After my experience I will not be returning. Like I said I like Popeyes but you need to realize your are not the only game in town. There are so many more choices that treat their customers with respect. Most likely they don’t care about they way I feel and I’m just one person. Keep treating people this way and one will turn into many.

This was a pretty good Popeyes. To be fair, I haven’t been to too many. The chicken was pretty crispy. The fries were good. The biscuit was good, but tasted a lot like artificial butter. The best part was that they had a Unilocal check in offer for a free apple pie! I mean, it’s fast food. So I really didn’t go into this experience expecting much. I was a little bit surprised with the quality of food.

Good is good however never consistent, I always ask for gravy cyz I use it for the fries n chicken, some of the ppl charge u 1.99 for gravy when the owner of this popeyes at his other locations gives for free, sum mangers here give for free 2. Just small gravy once they all get on board with that I’ll give 5 stars

Disappointing. Chicken that i ordered was not fresh extra oily. Fries wernt good either. Disappointing cus popeyes is my fav fast food… On that day at this new location i had high expectations. Whatever they gave wasnt fresh at all. Po boy shrimp wasnt bad but was lacking sauce dressing and was pretty plain. Shrimps tasted really good bread was on the mushy side. Please improve on ur freshness, give us fresh chicken not leftovers !

This is such a gem. I absolutely loved it. I don’t think I have ever enjoyed chain restaurant as much as I have with this one… I ordered half sweetened tea, spicy fried chicken and rice with beans. So freaking awesome. The location itself is new and the customer service was excellent(for a chain fast food I can not complain). I can’t wait to come back again!

I generally avoid chain places viewing them and their slop food as if they were spreading bubonic plagues. But as this Popeyes(named«Popeyes» after Popeye Doyle in the movie«French Connection») only recently opened and advertised itself as being a Louisiana Kitchen, I couldn’t help but try it since I’m a lover of any food containing a Cajun reference. And, I’m glad I did. Popeyes is entirely new, having only recently opened for business. It has good ample parking and, being new, everything is spotlessly clean. As with any new business operation I expected some bugs with the service but to my shocking surprise I found their staff to really be on the ball, totally professional, totally top flight, which for any fast food chain was a real surprise. I ordered their Cajun Fish Combo which came with a soda, biscuit and a side of coleslaw. The portion wasn’t much but for $ 7.31, a bargain of a deal and my OF who accompanied me ordered something I think they referred to as the Raging Cajun Chicken Combo. Though nobody seemed to know the exact type of fish, I’d venture to say haddock. The fish itself turned out to be moist, a vivid porcelain white in color, perfect in texture, flakey; really outstanding. However the best and crowning part of it was the batter. Indeed it was some of the best I’ve ever had. It wasn’t at all greasy, had nice crisp texture with what was to me a really superior flavor. As far a battered fish goes, it was one of the best batter coatings I’ve ever tasted anywhere or in any place; something I don’t mind raving about. Though the coleslaw was rather unremarkable, good enough, but the simple accompanying biscuit also really very good not only in flavor and taste but in texture as well. I could really tell that it was made with some type of buttermilk ingredient to it. I tried a sampling of my OF’s chicken. I’d venture to say the battering of his chicken was the same as that of my fish, again really superb in crispness, overall texture and flavor. The chicken itself was also perfectly done as well as void of any greasiness. About my only comparison with such chicken would be with that served at KFC and without any question or doubt in my mind, Popeyes chicken is vastly superior in every way. So yes, though I never thought this would happen, I’m a real fan Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen.

Well, I decided to give them another try after my not so stellar first experience. I was buying lunch for my team at work who have been really working hard and deserving of some recognition. I went thru the drive thru and decided a couple of 16pc bucket meals should do the trick. I ordered on mild and one spicy. Each bucket came with 3 sides so I decided on mashed potatoes, red beans and rice and cole slaw. They also come with Popeyes famous biscuits and I’m telling if whether you like the chicken or not, come over here and try the biscuits, they are out of this world delicious! I added a shrimp po boy and for $ 73 I was told to drive to the window. A very pleasant lady took my payment(all cc’s accepted) and another minute later she handed me the two giant bags of food. I laid out the feast for the office and they chow’d down. Note to self– next time tell them which box is spicy, it caught a couple guys off guard, lol These guys redeemed themselves from my first visit a few weeks ago and I hope I now have a neighborhood Popeyes Incan rely on for so, em quick comfort food because wifey also likes the red beans and rice!

The food is good and hot. The drive thru needs some work. It doesn’t do any good to have blaring music and the staff shouting inside when the girl in the drive thru can’t hear the customer as a result. I didn’t get my complete order nor any forks or napkins. No sauces given or offered. A large, smiling man who I am guessing is the manager smiles at you but does not communicate with you when you are standing 2 feet away with a complaint. This was late last Saturday night. During the day inside the staff communicates and gets your order correct. I’m sure once all the wrinkles are ironed out they will be five stars. The chicken and sides are great, now bring the night service up to par.
