Popeye’s Famous Fried Chicken

This place has really improved! My son and I got awesome customer service from Seguna. I’m talking real above and beyond servicr to make sure our order was perfect. The food was also delicious!

The cashier was quite rude when taking our order. The wait was a bit long but I didn’t have too high of an expectation from a fast food place. Our order was correct but the chicken was very dry, almost overcooked. And about two hours after eating the meal I became ill as well. I would not recommend this current location to anyone.

Went through the drive in and wasn’t greeted. Very loud person came through the speaker. Asked a couple of questions about what I was interested in ordering. Only to be answered by that loud angry voice over the speaker. When I drove up to pay, she was standing there with the «mmmmhhhhmmm» classic pose. After I payed, I noticed at least 4 diffrent employees standing around and just talking about how Shenaynay from school is a bitch. A young R&B thug look a like was rapping and swearing while I waited on my order. It was a very uncomfortable environment the owner and upper management allow this franchise store to operate under. I will not be going back to this Popeyes location again.

Actually I had the food from here and its pretty decent.
I have not gotten sick, or had anything that tastes old like the other reviews.
I really do not expect that much song and dance coming from the employees making minimum wage.
I am just glad the food tastes good, doesn’t get me sick, and the order is correct.
Thats what i call a good day.

Worst staff I’ve ever seen. They got my order wrong when all the staff just ignored the fact I was standing there waiting for assistance they kept walking by like I wasn’t even there. I even asked a crew member for help who seemed to be the manager she stared at me and walked away like she didn’t care didn’t even bother. Worst staff. I don’t even know how they even have jobs in a customer service environment. The entire staff rude. Will never go there. This place is a joke.

The spicy tenders and cajun fries tasted very nice and were flavorful. However, the cashier was soooo rude it was unbelievable. How hard is it to smile back at customers? Less than a half hour after my meal I became violently ill. Hmmm. Won’t return.

Upon entering Popeye’s you will see the «‘Nawlins’…fast!» printed on the door, but pay no attention to it as this place is as slow as cold molasses. They seem to make a ton of breasts, thighs, and drumsticks for… I don’t know who as there are always mounds of them under the heat lamps. If you want anything boneless or a sandwich, expect to wait as they appear to make everything else to order or can’t make it fast enough.
The staff is generally slow and have a don’t-give-a-sh*t attitude. The chicken, when you do get it, is okay. When you have to wait 20 mins for a 6pc nugget meal, it better be damn good chicken because for that wait time you can go across the street to Chicago’s and get a bigger serving of food for a couple dollars more.
I will agree with other reviewers that if you are white, prepare to be uncomfortable.

Delicious fast fried chicken. They have delicious biscuits, decent service, and its CLEAN!!! Hells bells its a fast food chicken place that doesnt want you to get a food borne illness.
Be weary white people. You will feel awkward. You are all by your lonesome.

Really SLOW service. I waited 20 minutes for a 16 piece tender order. I also observed a lot of confusion by the staff when dealing with other customer orders. They were also out of one of the items I ordered. And I don’t get the sense that the place is as clean as it could be.
Drive up is just as bad — best to go inside and order, gas is too pricey nowadays to sit in snail’s pace line leading to the pickup window. For those with a «Popeye’s hankering» go to the one on Fullerton between Narragansett & Oak Park (see my review of that store too).

i had fries and it gave me food poisoning. enough said.

This rating of one star should be NO STARS this place is ridiculous, slow, unprofessional, and disgusting! I complained about poor service and incomplete orders to corporate to receive a voice mail of a B. S apology but nothing else. Avoid this Popeye’s at all costs !!!
