Such selection! Such quality! Such service! Such a great place! Such use of the word such and exclamation marks! By this time if the word«such» hasn’t lost all meaning to you then my friend you are a language beast, because I can’t stand the word anymore and it is dead to me. But what is not is Joe & Franks. I love coming here. I wouldn’t get my meat from anywhere else if i had a choice. I live 45 min away now, so I don’t, but would if I could. You can get the best Polish sausage you will ever put in your mouth here. And what really got me was that I actually enjoyed the Italian sausage. As a general rule I don’t like Italian sausage but these guys almost made me a convert. They have other things here as well and it’s a safe bet that you will get compliments on your cooking because the raw materials were so good. If you have been driving past wondering if it was worth stopping in then wonder no more and just do it. Fun Fact: Penguins have a gland above their eyes that converts salt water to fresh water.

Small store tucked away behind a car wash on Ridgeland. I pick and choose the times I go, since the place gets packed and getting in and out of the lot is crazy. They have a great deli counter, but I come here for the fresh meat and sausage. We decided to grill grill out last night, so I stopped and picked up some Italian and Polish sausage. Truly some of the freshes tasting sausages you will buy. It is my go-to place during the summer months. Prices are reasonable, and they do have some great sales. If you are in the area, check it out — BBQ Season has arrived!!!

The deli counter is great. If you need some Polish groceries, they have a nice looking selection. I usually just stop there for some pierogi at the holidays. Doesn’t look like they are making their own anymore, but I bought the packaged brand they sell and they were really authentic and delicious. Love the smell of the place, too. Nice poppyseed roll pastry and pretty packs of candy I don’t know, but always pick up a couple to check out.

Sure I love Whole Foods but it kills me to be tweaked to the tune of $ 9 a pound for pork, get over it, sure organic is great but fresh is better, and when I find a place that can turn and burn, I will line up. The meat is always super fresh, which must be the most important thing to consider when purchasing perishables. Joe and Franks never let me down, this is the 3rd location I have tried and they do me right. This is not my home base Joe and Franks but my back up, top of the line pork products for more than fair prices, on the grill as I type, Lithiuanian style fresh sausage, Italian sweet sausage, and pork tenderloin. The quality of the sausage is uncompromising, good flavor and no fillers, just read the packages of the Johnsonville and the bulk sausage at the Jewel(s) They feature corn syrup and water as secondary ingredients, not at J and F’s, just pig and seasoning, add heat and you get porkoliscious delisciousness. As far as the counter help goes, speak Polski a plus, but if you don’t it will not prevent you from procuring very fresh meat at a great price. The bakery is not really my cup of tea, perhaps if you grew up on Polish baked goods they would suit you better, I just go for the meat.
