Great place and great staff. Always helpful and have what you need. Somethings are a little more expensive than other stores but worth paying more for the great service

Hey! This is Grandma’s favorite place to get plants ‘n stuff, and she comes all the way from Garfield Ridge, too! Now, I don’t know much about flowers and lawn decorations, but this place is a solid lil’ joint to go for veggie plants, flowers, and Christmas trees. As a matter of fact, we’ve gotten a tree here three years in a row. Since we live just across the street, we also have a tradition of me sprinting across Cicero avenue with a giant Christmas tree balanced on my shoulder. We’ve had nothing but good experiences here. Plus, if you’re on your way to visit your Aunt Edna in the cemetery, they have a variety of wreath plants and decorations to suit your needs.

Knowledgeable Staff. Not only do I purchase plants and flowers from Fasel & Son’s, but there Staff have assisted me on lawn fungus problems. They individual identified the type of fungus’(two in my lawn, red thread, and dollar spot) and the appropriate fungicide to kill the specific fungus’. Also, provided additional insight on the frequency of treatments. Exceptional Service!

Come spring and summer I’m usually there purchasing annuals, most of my garden’s perennial space is well established. But that’s where Fasel’s comes in handy. Not only do they have all the usual tools, bulbs, pots, soil, fertilizers, insecticides, garden decorations, etc, etc. but Nate will can help you plan your garden for free. They won’t do the installation but can guide you towards the plants they can sell to you and how they can be utilized in your garden. Nate is worth his weight in gold!!! Many times he has given me advice on how to trim hydrangeas, transplanting plants, the pluses and minuses of varying varieties. He truly knows his stuff! Granted they might be a bit pricier that the Home Depots or Lowes but they are a nursery that has better quality and better advice. Try getting that at one of the big box stores. On the minus side if you want some more exotic plants they may not carry them here due to the area’s demand. In addition we went there for a Christmas tree this year and was sorely disappointed in the selection. Otherwise I endorse going here, they’ve been around awhile and again Nate is almost worth it alone.

Every Spring/Summer I come here to get the plants for my window box and porch planters… which bloom beautifully well into the cold days of Fall. Their outdoor staff is incredibly accommodating and the cashiers have always been funny and friendly. Great selection of pre-made pots and hanging baskets, but I enjoy browsing the greenhouse and putting together my own from their nursery plants. Everything comes with the promise that it won’t die on ya, so save your receipt. I’ve had tremendous luck with all of their plants and trees. My tomatoes, chives, Italian Parsley and Mint grow like mad! I love having fresh herbs to cook with. :) MUCH better than I ever have with Home Depot’s garden options. Small selection of fountains, wind chimes, etc and they have an impressive array of products to care for and protect your garden and lawn. The birdseed is expensive, but when I’m there, I grab a big olé’ bag because they have a no-waste brand. I’m saddened to learn via Linda M’s review that the owner left some poor boy standing around. *groan* I certainly hope that gave that boy a job! My next visit is probably in Autumn when it’s time to get my seasonal plants on and snag some Fall decorations to class up the joint.

What an awful run store. Rude cashiers who will leave a customer standing and waiting as they constantly announce they need to «go powder their noses» poor young kid was left standing for an hour waiting for a scheduled interview only to find out the owner forgot he was waiting and left the building. The flowers seem to be high quality, but the staff certainly is not. Steer clear of this quagmire of bad management

Fasel & Sons is one of my favorite gardening stores. While it is a little small, the plants are always in fantastic shape. I disagree with the other review about pricing. If you compare it to Sid’s or other specialty stores, it is really very reasonable, and again the plants are extremely well maintained. I’d rather pay a $ 1 more and get a plant that is healthy and will thrive, than get it cheap at a big box store and find that it is rootbound or has been forced to bloom prematurely and won’t bloom again in my garden. The staff is friendly, informed, and easy to find. They have a great selection of herbs and carry interesting perennials. They also have a cool selection of unique pumpkins and gords in the autumn.

I love this Garden Center to get summer flowers. The atmosphere is nice and there is a good selection and variety of flowers. I usually wait for the sales though, because their stuff tends to be a bit pricey.
