It’s a dive bar and I like that sort of thing. Most dive bars in Portland have a 2 $ pint so you can swill cheap. The Oak Harbor Tavern offers Domestic pints for 3 $ and good bottles for 4 $, I had a few pints of Rainier and called it quits after sitting there with an empty glass half the time trying to get the bartenders attention. I took walk a block or two away and found a much better tavern. Next time in town I’ll pass on this place.

OHT!!! this is a dive… i LOVE dive bars… as longs as they’re good dive bars. i believe that this is the«cheers» of dive bars… being that it’s in a small town… every body already kinda knows your name. The first time i went in here was on my 21st… the bar tender and manager(STEVE!) was super nice and gave me my first rainier in a bottle. let me paint a picture for you: old regulars line the bar in various places coupled with young-mid 30’s punk rockers(or used to be before life, kids, responsibility, hard labor jobs… but they still hold there own at shows)…pull tab remains litter the floor… gambling and video game machines spot the edges of the room… as you sit at the time warn bar, chit chatting with one of the 3 bartenders that work there… trying to discern the picture puzzles in the rainier beer bottle caps with your closest buddies. OHT was my first dive and will always hold a special place in my heart… and i will continue to stop in every time i go to visit the old homestead.
