I have been into this office four times trying to transfer a vehicle title from my mother’s name to mine– an immediate family transfer, considered a «gift». The first three times I was in I was told three different things by three different employees in terms of the paperwork to be filled out and the fees involved. After I finally got everything straightened out with the correct information I brought in the title and paperwork only to be told that they would not take my transfer paperwork because there was a slight rip at the top of the page and that it would be best if my mother just came in with me to do it. Don’t you think we would have done that from the beginning if that was at ALL a possibility?! I will not be using this DOL in the future if I can help it. Very frustrating.
