We bought a couple items here several months ago. For those who don’t know much of their furniture is assembled based on your choices about what you want(fabric color, size, etc.) Our initial experience in the store was pleasant enough, but we have a bunch of gripes about our experience since then. 1. We were quoted an 8 to 12 week time frame to manufacture and ship our furniture. That was **FIVE** months ago(23 weeks to be exact). We still do not have our furniture. 2. At the 3-month mark, we wondered«Where’s our *&%$ing furniture?» Nobody there bothered to call us. We had to call them multiple times to get someone to tell us what’s up. 3. We were under the impression that our furniture would be made in North Carolina. Turns out it’s made in China. Now, this wouldn’t be a big deal if it weren’t for the fact that the original salesperson talked up and down about Thomasville’s furniture being made in North Carolina. I think we were allowed to believe our furniture would also be made in NC. We’re supposedly going to get our stuff this week. Yes, we got a discount for our trouble and headaches. All in all it was a crappy experience though and if I had known we’d be dealing with this, we’d have bought from someone else, discount or not.(I know, I know — capitalist bourgeois problems, right?) Think twice and ask lots of questions before buying from them and committing your hard-earned money.

I have a lot to say about this place. But Since I have only placed my order on May 10th. I will wait to actually get my merchandise to give you the whole scoop.

This place is a joke. Nice furniture but that is where it stops. The wife and I ordered a leather couch and 2 cloth chairs. The couch was ordered and a 50% deposit left that day. Told us that the couch would be delivered in 4 to 6 weeks. That was in March. Told us that the fabric we picked out was out of stock and would not be making it any longer. Not a problem. Went back and picked more swatches of fabric and the sales associate was no longer with the company. Spoke with a new sales associate who gave us different swatches to take home and see if they would work. It is now June and everything is a mess. They told me that they did not charge me for the wedge of the couch. It’s a sectional. It shows 3 pieces on my order slip. A left, middle(wedge) and a right side. I made a complaint to the corporate office who told me they would check on my order. What they did was send an e-mail saying that they would give me a $ 900 discount do to the fact that is has taken so long to get the furniture and for the mess up on the order. I waited for the $ 900 to be credited back to my card for a week and it was not put back on there. So I called again and they said that I miss understood the e-mail and that the $ 900 was not going to be charged to me for the«wedge section» of the couch that I had already been charged for. Apparently, discount means something different at Thomasville. They call to tell us that all of the furniture is in. The truck arrives and it’s only the couch. Make another call and it’s the same run around. They are sorry again. Fast forward to a couple weeks later and they tell us that cloth chairs are in. Then they call us later the same day to let us know that the other cloth chairs that the fabric was discontinued was in as well. Again, another phone call. They are sorry again. We get the cloth chairs and the foot rest is not with the chairs. They told us that it is in transit and would be here in a couple of days. We call to find out where the foot rest is and they can’t track it. Still waiting!!! Could have gone on longer but I’m tired. Like I said earlier… nice furniture but that is where it all ends. And don’t try to call the store… they will NEVER pick up the phone.
