Helzberg Diamonds

Let me start off by saying my boyfriend and I have been looking for my engagement ring for about 6 – 7 months. We did not have any sort of time line, but really just wanted to find the perfect ring. We had been to every store out there. I am very picky and wanted something simple but every store we would visit, I never found anything I truly LOVED.
My boyfriend had visited a few weeks ago and met with Diane. He had found a few rings he thought I would like and we finally made it out that way last night to look around. I was pleasantly surprised as to how different this Herzberg was versus the Helzberg we had visited at Fox Valley Mall in Naperville. This one is in a nice strip mall and is so much larger than some of the places we had been to. Everything here was so beautiful! I had a good feeling I would find something as soon as we walked in.
Diane warmly greeted us and took us over to the engagement section. She brought over the two rings J had picked out and I immediately fell in love with one of them. The one thing that truly set Diane apart from the other sales people we had dealt with is how friendly and professional she was. I felt like I had known her for years! She gave honest opinions and answered questions we had. I never felt pressured to make a purchase, as I had felt at other places. Before I knew it, we were being rung up. I am so happy to have finally found my engagement ring!

Diane is great! I currently have my engagement ring on the layaway program which is wonderful. The payments are flexible with no finance charge. Everyone is friendly (except one pushy lady with long dark hair. That’s why they got a 4 and not 5) and willing to help. I’ve asked to see my ring under the loop, with different bands, and even outside! I can’t wait to bring my soon to be husband in to pick out wedding bands!

Unfortunately when I brought my ring in to find out if they would be able to «re-​dip» my engagement ring before our wedding ceremony and reception, either the sales person didn’t understand how white gold is made, or she was just trying to scare me into buying a whole different setting through her and her store. She basically told me that my engagement ring is garbage because it is white gold and looks yellowish. (I’ve been wearing it for a year and the the coating has worn off. That is all.) Thanks for making me and my fiancé feel horrible about our rings. Sorry you weren’t able to get me to drop another $ 2k on a setting so you could make a commission. Helzberg really needs to educate their sales people about how their jewelry is actually made. We will NEVER buy ANYTHING through this chain!
