This store has a pretty good selection and is in one of the best malls, but that comes at a price. The store gets SUPER crowded on the weekends. Sometimes the line can take 20 minutes just to check out.

I’ve been wearing BR clothes for 15+ years now. This store has a pretty decent selection. My complaints are that the music is blaring like an Abercombie & Fitch store, and the customer service is awful. The store was pretty empty this morning yet no one offered to help me. The associates were all chatting behind the cashiers.

I’m a big fan of the clothing at Banana Republic, although I generally tend to shop at the outlets. I found a gorgeous top here, and decided to splurge. Fitting rooms were great, the store itself easy to navigate in a wheelchair(no small feat for many of the shops here at Oakbrook Center), and everything went pretty well.

Terrible customer service. I am a loyal BR customer. I am generally very happy with the quality of clothes and customer service in most BR stores. This particular location is the exception. I went to this store to return a Christmas gift. It was an online purchase from my sister. When I went to the counter I told the sales clerk that I’d like to return it for store credit since I was going to immediately turn around and purchase other items. He said, no problem. He then completed the translation and said, oops, it looks like it went back on the cc. I asked if he could reverse the transaction and he said he’d need to get a manager. That’s when a rude young blonde woman walked up and said there’s nothing that can be done. Sorry. I asked if I could see the manager and she said, yes, but she’ll tell me the same thing. A few minutes that another very rude woman named Marsella walked up. She was the manager on duty. She said, sorry, there is nothing that can be done, but I will speak to the sales rep privately and reprimand him for the mistake. Needless to say, any manager who speaks of employee discipline action with customers is out of line. I was not looking to get someone in trouble. Mistakes happen. I was just looking to have the mistake corrected. There was no attempt to do so on behalf of anyone at this store. I immediately left the store and headed to my local BR in Burr Ridge. When I told the sales clerk there about the incident, she agreed that it should never have happened and that there is always a way to correct a mistake like that. Needless to say, I will never shop at this location again.

What a beautiful new store! They just remodeled and the night I was there they were having a grand re-opening. The staff is spot on, and this mall is just great in general. I’ll defiantly be back to BR!!!

I live in Banana Republic. I’m not sure if it’s the quality of clothing or the beautiful accessories? Everything in this store fits like a glove. They will also hem pants for you which is a great perk! I have a pair of black slacks that I have worn for over ten years and they still look brand NEW! The clothes are classic pieces. The prices are amazing! Here’s a tip… the sale rack is fantastic!
