This store has really gone down hill. The last few months that I have gone there they have been out of items. They were out of microwave popcorn, ALL microwave popcorn, for about a week. Today I went there for advil, All ibuprofen except for 2 bottles was gone. They have a problem with ordering merchandise and then stocking the shelves. The shampoo and conditioner that I have bought there for years has been sold out for over a week. There is an empty spot on the shelf where it used to be. If you walk in the store and look around, there are empty shelves everywhere. So i drove out to the Lake St Louis Walmart and guess what? The employees were courteous, the store was clean and the shelves were well stocked. I guess that is my new Walmart. Ofallon Walmart sucks!

Where do I begin? Don’t waste your time. I’ve been a few times and never had a good experience. I asked an employee in electronics where a movie was that said in stock online. He said«I don’t know» and walked off. We went the other night and they were up dusting the ceiling. They proceeded to dust right over our heads, dust falling all over us. They could have waited till we grabbed what we needed. The cashiers are never friendly. They don’t greet you and never act like they’re in a good mood. The cashier today counted my change back with her back to me. The store is ALWAYS a mess. Seriously, just go to Target.

Terrible customer service. I went to this store to pick up an item i ordered online. I went to returns there was a long line. I finally reach the associate and he tells me to go to photo area. There is no one here i push the screen at that area for help after 3o minutes total waiting around for help I decided to go look for help. The first associate told me to wait until the lines go down for returns and someone would help me. Of course she did not know they are the ones who sent me to photo. The next associate I ask for help said she had to go find some keys and would be back. She did not come back. Finally someone at returns said she been waiting awhile you go and help her. The associate from returns told me she had not seen anyone in photos for 2 hours and they could help me in returns. It took her less than 5 minutes to get my package. I decide to call the manager i was put through and was on hold for awhile. I call again no picks up.

They’re currently going through renovations, so I won’t be too hard on them. Selection isn’t much better than a small-town Walmart. Service is friendly enough but they had a chance to go the extra mile and didn’t. I went there looking for an item that was in stock x3 in their store and no other store within a 50-mile radius had it, and out of the 3 employees I asked for help, not one of them took ownership of my needs and helped me locate the item. An hour later, I gave up. I had to yield to a young blond employee who was text-walking through electronics(she looked to be coming off of break, so maybe she worked in a different department). In electronics, CCTV monitors have been flickering for quite some time, and many display items(such as computers and the monitor connected to the Alienware Alpha console) were turned off. Staff does look better-trained and more professional than the St. Charles Walmart off I-70 and the clientele is less shady, but for O’Fallon, this store should be much nicer and the staff should perform better.

It’s Walmart… it has what I need at the price that I’m looking for. It’s super close to mi casa and Open 24⁄7 including most Holidays. The customer service is what you would expect amongst some of O’Fallon, MO’s finest citizens. You can’t come into this type of store with high expectations. It’s always super jam packed on the market side during the day and all the«funny» people come out late at night. Has anybody really ever killed time roaming around this place at 3am in the morning… it’s a trip… seriously. Watch out for the hustling mountains of the stock getting put up at that time too. You know what… they have pretty good deals on their lawn and garden products. Most of my landscaping plants were bought there. I wonder why though, the lake st. Louis location had much better variety and options. Hmmm.

Can not stand this Walmart. I try to avoid it at all cost. But it’s convenient and when it’s 1 am and Walgreens does not carry it I suck it up and go. The lines are always horrible. They need to staff a lot more cashiers. There have been times when I just leave because the lines are freaking backed up into jewelry. And the staff on the floor is non existent and rude. Was trying to find a toy story shirt. And they did not have the size. So I tried to find an employee but the only one I found was in the electronics department. She told me her gun does not scan clothing(which is an out right lie, because I used to work for Walmart back in my young retail days and I know for a fact that those guns scan everything. She was just being lazy) I bit my tongue, trying to hold my anger. If you try to find anything, everyone says they same thing. It’s down that aisle. It’s over there I think etc. I tried to buy a fishing license once and it took me thirty freaking minutes to find an employee who had to find someone who knew how to work the machine. I can go on and on, about how the employees blow with customer service. Sam is rolling in his grave knowing how Walmart has changed and crapped out. Walmart can afford to pay top dollar to employees. But do not because there greedy bastards. That’s why they hire lazy people who don’t know anything about customer service. There are a few good apples who are amazing and work hard. But the lazies are ruining there rep. I have not been to O Fallon Walmart in a long long time. Target is the way to go. That’s the truth

I live close by but DAMN… I drive to the chesterfield to do my shopping. There is a grandma that work there that whines and bitches about everything. I’m sorry you are old and have to work, maybe you should of gotten an education and did something with your life, maybe you wouldn’t be here bitching about everything. Grandma needs to hit the road and hit up nearest retirement home.(She works the early morning shift)

Super-sized with groceries. It’s large, its huge, its has food, groceries, clothes, supplies, lawn goods. You can trick yourself spending more money than you planned over the convenience picking up one more thing. The grocery side is the attention grabber. They offer typical selection of clothes. Somehow, I think they may have skimped on the housewares side and I don’t feel they have the selection of hygienics you could find in a See Vee-S or W-Greens. Expect to lose a pound or two walking through the paring lot.

I’m being nice, and give this store 2 stars, very nice… now for the fun part, cause, «Hey Homer, they’ve got a Wal-Mart over here’s in, where is it? OFallen.» And I’m going to review it. So, I went to try on yoga pants that are sized 2 sizes too small, but cute as hell, so I had to buy a bit bigger size, by Danskin(Kohl’s carries them, but these are a few dollars chepaer at Wal-Mart.) I went to the fitting room, and well I’ll be… here’s the conversation that ensued: «I’d like to try these on,» says I to the fitting room associate. I had 2 pairs of pants. The associate is about 80, and it’s awesome that she has a job there. She is taping up a pair of pants that someone returned. «These smell all like smoke. Someone smoked their cigarettes, and returned these. I have to clean them up. Wal Mart took them back that. Wal Mart takes back everything. Wal-mart even takes back underwear that people have worn. It is my job to wash them out. I wash out the stains of the underwear people return. I’ll be right with you.» So I finally got to a fitting room, tried them on, put them in the cart, and went to find the plastic bags, which I intended to buy in the first place. I asked an employee where the plastic bags were. This is the answer for the day, «Down that aisle down there.»(Pinch myself, I know I’m not in eastern Missouri, I am in the Ozarks, in Camdeton, or further down than that.). I look, and there’s like, 10 aisles. Huh? I did find them, and I went to pay for them. Well, I needed to mail something, so I asked the cashier where the nearest post office was. I know, Wal-mart is not a tourist center, but they should still be able to direct me. She answers, «It’s down the road. I don’t know the name of the road. But it’s down there.» Then she offers to find someone else who might be able to give better instructions. «I know where the post office is, it’s down that road there, and you’ll find it.» There’s no road. No road, no post office found in the area, no more time wasted with the hillbilly bunch at the OFallen Wal-Mart.

I would LOVE to give this store a 1-star. But it would make me SUCH a hypocrite as it is the sole provider of our groceries. AND, since we started shopping here our grocery bill HAS gone down(just like the commercial promises). So for me to give it a 1-star, you’d assume I’d never set foot in there again, and yet, I know for a fact we shopped there 4 times just last week. It’s easy, cheap, one-stop shopping and I’m sorry, but I’m too lazy to deal with anything else. Especially since the local Schnucks(I have a review on that atrocity of a store as well) usually makes me want to punch people. My fellow patrons at Wal-Mart are no different from the rest of the Bubbas I’ll see around town in the area we live in, so even that isn’t going to keep me away for long. I hate you, Wal-Mart, but I need you. And you know it. The problem with this(and any) Wal-Mart is that you walk in to find rows and rows and rows of check-out aisles(ours has something close to the upper 30s). Rows which usually are staffed by 3 people, one of whom is about to go on break despite having 7 – 8 customers waiting in their line. I have NEVER once seen an employee walking around in order to assiste you or at least point you in the right direction(one exception, Electronics, which is crawling with associates, all of whom will ask you if you need help when all you’re trying to do is get printer ink). I am convinced that the number of employees actually staffing a Wal-Mart at any point in time is less than 10 and most of those are at the Blimpie on their break. Produce is always kind of hit or miss — both in the sense that sometimes they have an adequately stocked produce section and sometimes they don’t and also that sometimes the produce is good and sometimes it’s bad. Still, it’s kind of fun buying cat litter, bananas, a door mat, and flip flops all in the same store. Especially when the grand total is less than 20 bucks. Just like a bad habit, I can’t quit you, Wal-Mart.
