Tyler’s Oahu Scuba

Wow! Tyler came recommend by the top scuba company in Oahu and I know why. He was so patient with me (the 1^st timer diver since certification). He helped me equalize and showed myself and my husband awesome reef sites. We saw turtles and sharks, we saw eels and many different type of fish. We heard whales and had a great time. He made sure we had fun and were safe doing so. I would highly recommend you go to him for your 1^st or 50^th dive experience! Amazing!

My wife and I both got our Open Water certification with Tyler in 2014 — it was a great experience and would highly reccommend him to anyone experienced or brand new to diving. He was very knowledglable, confident, professional and most importantly — patient. Since then we have dove with several other people on the island, and almost every time we find out that they got their Divemaster cert with Tyler too — he’s a Hawaii staple. If you can get on his (busy) schedule you won’t regret it!

Tyler was courteous and professional. I had problems with equalizing my ear during my second dive. Tyler was very patient with me. Finally I had to give up on the second dive but still had a great experience seeing turtles, trumpet fish and some interesting small creatures. Tyler provided a personal tour since I was the only one diving with him that trip. I would definitely recommend him to anyone diving in Oahu.

We dove with Tyler at Sharks Cove on the North Shore… we loved it. Tyler was very attentive and knowledgeable. We had great viz and saw some really beautiful fish and some awesome Nudibranch

I just went scuba diving for the first time and Tyler was an amazing instructor! He’s super patient and thorough in making sure that you feel at ease in the water. It helps as well that the spot he took my dad and I to, Sharks Cove, was teeming with gorgeous fish. Overall, scuba diving with him was an awesome experience. Thanks Tyler!

Met Tyler several years ago on a boat dive with my brother and then again in February for another boat dive.

If you are a diver and have tons of dives or just a few there isn’t a better person to dive with!
Tell him your skill level and what it is you want to do and he’ll do everything he can to make it happen.
I wanted to see turtles and man… they were staked on the reef like they were sleeping on bunk beds. Must have been 4 within 20 or 30 feet. Then after about 10 minutes I lost count.
Then after a quick swim he showed me the white tip reef shark lounge ;-) 2 beautiful animals just kick’n it under an overhang. Wow!

As a former President with the San Diego Council of Divers and over 400 dives I have been on a few boat trips and experienced my share of dive shops. So I don’t give out rave reviews very often, but in this instance it is well deserved.
Our second time at ****** was on Sunday when we signed up for 2 boat dives, just off of the North Shore. And this is where I witnessed one the most professional Dive Master/​Instructors that I have had the opportunity to dive with.
Tylyer Silber handled the entire event extremely well, from a late diver who’s GPS couldn’t navigate to the docks, helping with gear, bringing out snacks after our 1^st dive, and to cap it off he had a spare computer when mine got a leak in the hose. He operated as if he had a 6^th sense of what everyone was going to ask, do, or have a problem with.
His explanation of the dives was spot on and he must have called ahead to let the sea turtles know we were coming because I lost count after 5 on the first dive.
I asked him how long he’s been doing this and he said for several years, I forget how many dives he said he had. It goes without saying that he is very experienced with this area.
Vis was 80+, temps around 75 degrees, and the swells were small and the sky clear blue.
If you are on Oahu and dive I strongly recommend scheduling a boat dive with Tyler. Even if you only need some gear for snorkeling or just a couple beach dives, they will hook you up.

Tyler is amazing. We are visiting Oahu and are divers looking for the best sites. The local dive shop in Haleiwa gave us his number and he allowed us to tag along with his class. He dialed in all the gear and was incredibly professional and attentive.
His communication is top notch and he was extremely proficient in and out of the water. He’s the perfect dive master: knowledgable and explanatory above the surface and then awesome at depth.
We highly recommend Tyler and will definitely call him when we are back in town.
