I have been a customer of The Optical Shop Of Nyack for a few years now and I have had nothing but amazing service! The owner has always gone above and beyond! I have purchased quite a few fabulous frames at very reasonable prices.

I adore Meg Young and her staff. This is the best place in the entire world to purchase your eyeglasses hands down. She is amazing and her eyeglasses are the most unusual and different from all the others. And the shopping and trying on experience is so wonderful as well! You will not see your eyeglasses on anyone else. This store is unique in that she has such fun things including handbags, and all sorts of accessories – yes fun shopping! So artsy in everything they do and she even stocks some conservative eyeglasses for people who are in need of that. And the people that work here make you feel like family and are such a big help. And they keep the prices down. I have sent so many people here because I love it so! It is my only place that I travel to for my amazing eyeglasses that everyone asks me where I get my amazing glasses from!!! Yes, you do need to go here, you do!

The owner, Meg is the coolest woman ever! She has helped me choose the best glasses that «fit» my face, my lifestyle, and are absolutely perfect for me. She has made the lightest, clearest transitions, sunglasses, even a few «fun» pairs for travel abroad — I love this place and have used The Optical Shop of Nyack for many years.

Excellent service, excellent selection of frames. What’s best is that the owner gives you honest feedback and doesn’t try to «sell» you on something that looks bad on you.
She is very willing to go thru drawer after drawer and pull out selections that she thinks you might want to try. And never hesitates to reject those that are not working.
All that, in a very pleasant and uncluttered shopping environment.
I can’t tell you how many people stop and ask me where I got my glasses. It has happened with each of the frames I have purchased here over the past 3 years.

I don’t understand the prior negative reviews for this shop and the owner. My experience has been entirely different. The shop has a fantastic selection of frames, and the owner has been nothing but helpful in guiding me in buying the right frames. I bought glasses there on several occasions, and will again in the future.

Agree the owner of this shop is really nasty and gives a bad impression of Nyack. I went in to get my glasses adjusted and search for a new pair but I never got that far because the troll behind the counter rudely told me it would be $ 3 to adjust my frames since I didn’t buy them from her. Maybe I would have done it if she didn’t look so put out and respond so impolitely. She actually said «why would i there’s nothing in it for me.» I gently voiced my surprise that I’d never been to an optical shop that charged for adjustments since it’s usually an industry courtesy and she started yelling at me that she’s been in the industry x yrs and she thinks she knows. All her «friends» in Manhattan charge $ 15. I live in NYC and not even the best shops charge. Bottom line this dope lost all possibility of future business from me.

Just went into this store with every intention to buy a new pair of glasses. From the second I came in the woman there was incredibly rude. As I asked her questions she claimed I was snooping.
They clearly have no idea about their frames, any question I asked about the materials I got a nasty remark.
As a glasses freak, owning nearly 20 – 30 I was insulted and will tell everyone I know about this experience.
Not only did they lose my business, but being a born an bred Nyack resident, it looks really bad
