We always enjoy this place. Very friendly staff! Food is great! Great drink selections. Good football specials! Clean establishment.

A small bar that turns into a club type environment at night(11pm+) ! I didn’t try the food here but every time I come here I have a great time with my friends. However Nyack is always hit or miss. Some nights you have a great crowd, a lot of people dancing, drinking, having a good time. Other nights it’s slow and no one is there with bad music. That being said sometimes I prefer going to nyack than hoboken or nyc.

First off just too crowded very small spot. I’m not a drinker but the ten drinks we order for our group was the worst so water down We thought we were drinking flavored water… The DJ at some points lost the crowd don’t know what was going on with that!!! Overall not my type of lounge there wasn’t even enough space to consider it a lounge just your typical standing bar. My preference just not my type of lounge… Oh and the ratio for guys to girls was probably like 40 to one just wasn’t feeling it…

Went back again, about a year later. They still have a ‘bait and switch’ issue… their website indicates you get a salad with the entrees. That is not the case. There is no excuse for a restaurant keeping misleading info on their website. For crying out loud, it is 2015! That being said, the food was actually pretty good, aside from the cold, institutional bread they started us with. And they did have a 2 for 1 happy hour drink special which was good at the tables, not just sitting at the bar. But really, the whole place is really a bar. This is far from a formal dining experience. It is basically a sports bar with tables. But the food… veal parm for me, eggplant parm for my girlfriend was okay. And the service was friendly and accommodating. It wasn’t for the misleading website, I would give them 3 stars.

Have been to Karma many times prior to this evening. When we arrived it was very quiet. Took a long for drinks(especially since they were already ordered at bar). Menu was different from prior visits and this website. Asked if I could still get Fettuccine Alfredo and she left to ask chef, a long while later she came back and said yes. Ordered it and aked to have chicken similar to that in Marsala or Francese. What arrived was a thin, beaten dry piece of chicken. Was approached by owner,(did not realize at time, thought he was manager), asked if he was manager, complained and said i was not paying for the dry thin chicken. Received no aplologies and waitress was defensive and dismissive of me. Charged $ 16.00 for pasta. Complained and was treated as if it was my fault for going off the menu. Unacceptable treatment, will not return. Both owner and waitress were rude and arrogant. Sad.

So, it’s a bit hard for me to figure out how to write an appropriate review for this restaurant. The location is great, right on the main street in Nyack. Also the staff is very friendly and helpful. There’s a couple of tables outside, and then inside appears from what I could see, to be mainly high top tables with only a few low tables. We sat outside since the weather was nice, I would prefer to see more low tables as I’m not a fan of high top tables, there may have been more upstairs though. The menu is nice, it’s not huge but A nice selection of various types of food from meat to seafood to pasta. They seem to have pretty good nightlife, the bar was decent size, I think they have a DJ or live music on the weekends. What disappointed me about here was the lack of being able to accommodate gluten-free needs. In my experience, most actual restaurants(meaning not just a bar/pub) are able to make adjustments as needed with entrées to accommodate these needs. The waitress told me that the chefs don’t quite understand the idea of gluten, and she has to tell them specifically not to add, flour for example. Unfortunately, there is gluten in other things besides flour, barley for example and certain grains. For me, I’m sensitive to gluten but I don’t have Celiac, so I could deal with this. I didn’t feel sick later on and the food was yummy. I had chicken Parmesan minus the breading. But this place is definitely not okay for someone with a severe gluten allergy, since the chefs don’t understand what gluten is. This is a really nice place, I’d just suggest they train the chefs in various food allergies so the restaurant can be accessible to more people.

Great service and the food is top notch quality. The high top tables have glass ice blocks in the middle to keep drinks cold. Their red wine selection is also excellent.

Great new place in Nyack. Much better than the dump it used to be, MoJo’s. The new owners did a fantastic job renovating and changing the character and image of the place it used to be. Don’t let the name Karma fool you, this is a great place for Italian food. The bartender Dana, and Diana are very nice and very friendly. The service is excellent! Sit outside on a nice day and have a beer and something to eat and watch all the Nyack characters walk bye ! Nothing like it! Great inside too if you like TV there must be at least 50 of them. Great place to watch a game. At night it changes into a club. There is a special upstairs place too. Never been up there at night but I hear it is cool. The owners are great people and know how to run a business. Well worth a try if you are in Nyack ! Mike

Was walking across the strip and I realized a new bar called Karma. Saw it was filled out and although I don’t like to usually take risks this one was one that payed off more than most. Although my bloody mary was top 5 I’ve ever had. The lobster ravioli was absolutely INCREDIBLE. My girlfriends chicken parm dish was straight out of little Italy. Food is so fresh and servers are very nice. We also got buffalo wings to start which is my favorite food. I must say the wings were a 9⁄10. If you’re in nyack his place is a must try. 5⁄5 stars

KARMA’s Walking Dead viewing parties in their VIP room is outstanding. Viewing party discounts with special drinks catered to the show make it amazing! Thank you Dana and the rest of the management for your amazing service. Also went for a theological group discussion yesterday afternoon and Anton and John took care of the group so well! Thanks again!

I been to Karma on some occasions in for events. Karma has viewing room with a projector on the second floor which they seem to rent out to certain parties. I’ve been up there to watch a Football game and a Walking Dead Episode. It’s pretty nice. They had some issues with the sound the second time I was here. The person in charge apologized to us but put on the captions so we could follow what was going on, so I highly appreciated that. I had a couple of drinks and can’t really complain. The bartender/manager(Dana I believe) was really nice and attentive. I only been here Sunday nights but can’t say it’s been a bad experience. Look forward to my next viewing!

I spent the night celebrating my birthday here with about 35 of my dear friends and family. Anton and the other owner were amazing and very accommodating! We had a great bartender and all my friends loved the venue. A little of NYC in Nyack! Great DJ too! Check it out!

Negative: Rude service(Bartender and horrible drinks). Positives: there are better bars in the area to hop to. My colleagues stopped here after amazing time at Velo Bistro Wine Bar to see the new place and it’s the same place except the bartender was unprofessional. We decided to stay with the same kind of drink we just had at Velo and ordered 3 gin and tonics. My friend tells me to taste my drink and ask what is it missing, «tonic»…lol. It was like he forgot to add the Hendricks. So I polity said excuse me what is our pour count on a G&T and he says 2. Which is incorrect since I am not a bartender but an experienced drinker and I know how to make a drink or two. A one alcohol drink is def more than a 2 count pour it is 1 ½ oz which would be a 3 count. The ambiance was a very quiet maybe because it was Thursday but The pour house was packed. Since we didn’t have anything keeping us here we decided to take our business to another location. My friend whom had a few too many within the night closed her tab and I noticed she was being very overly generous or just bad at math. She left cash on the bar and then wrote in about 45% for tip. This is how I knew she had too many so I took it and crossed it out and gave 20% for the 3 tonics minus the gin plus the already $ 5 left on the bar. As I packing up the bartender has the audacity to say that I should not have crossed off the check and corrected it. I said excuse me I think we left you more than enough for your service and if anything it was not deserved. For $ 24(3 drinks) tab we left $ 5 cash tip and $ 4.50 tip on the card… I don’t think you deserved a $ 15 tip for $ 24 bill plus you do not even know how to pour a drink and now you’re arguing with a customer about it. I will never again come back here for this reason alone and too bad since my job which is only 5 min away we do happy hours at least twice a week and we used to patron Mojo all the time and had many work gathering there. Word of mouth is the more effective then advertising. I would focus on your staff since they represent the name… «Your business is as good as your worst employee

When I first saw Karma they had just opened, I was immediately drawn in by the ambiance. The place itself is just gorgeous, and the tables have ice rails for your beer! There is nothing better than a beer that never gets warm… I have been going there every single weekend ever since. The staff is incredibly friendly, the owners are so humble and welcoming… and then there’s the food… I have never eaten a better chicken marsala in my entire life. Everything I had was delicious. I highly recommend trying the specials as well, there’s always something unusual and just exquisite. Portions are HUGE and they always come with a salad. The drinks are fun, there is a huge selection of ice cold draft beer(and the ice rails!) Saturday nights become a huge party. my girlfriends and I had a blast. It’s the kind of bar where you can dance without feeling like you’re being checked out by creepers all night, the bouncers are attentive and the crowd is mature and just a blast. Just went there again a few days ago, and I can’t wait to go back!

I actually ended up in Karma by accident(insert corny joke about«Karma» here…) However, I ended up with a really friendly hostess, a fast bartender who poured a delicious drink(Manhattan, special) and a big plate of Penne a La Vodka w/chicken. I’ll definitely be back to try some of the other dishes and drinks. I was there on a Sunday; and they have TV’s all over the place showing all the NFL games. I saw them serving lots of chicken wings; they certainly seemed to be popular. I’m looking forward to my next trip back!

Had a wonderful dinner last night at this 5 week old restaurant. We both had the eggplant Parmesan which was delicious. It came out piping hot. The cheese was creamy and fresh. The sauce delicious. The eggplant was not breaded so every bit of it you tasted. We first had cesaer salads. My husband as for anchovies on his. No extra charge and there must have been at least 12 pieces. I asked for vegetables instead of pasta and had a nice selected of sautéed vegetable. Our waitress was friendly and certainly was there to give you a nice experience. The portions are large. All that for $ 14.95 each. We will definitely be back!

We happened to pop in here on Karma’s opening night. They had a limited menu with excited owners, hosts, and servers. The owners greeted us and excitedly talked about their place. They described their intentions as this— A bar, restaurant, lounge where it’s hip, but not fist-pumping. Casual yet dressed up. Where you can take a date, have a nice cocktail, take a family out, or even have an event. The place was newly done up. Lots of red pleather, red accents, and black. It looked pretty clean and shiny. We all had the vodka pasta which was pretty good – at the time. Two of us had the chicken, and one poor soul(me) had the shrimp. The dish came with a side salad, and the pasta serving was giant. It was pretty heavy on the cream, but hit the late night drinking spot. The chicken dish was fine, but the shrimp must have been skunked. It didn’t taste bad at the time, so I kept eating… and I ate a bit the next night and the following night. I was sick each morning. I couldn’t figure out why, and I contributed it to the other foods I had been eating. The nail in the coffin was when my friend ate just one of my shrimp and he too was sick for 2 days! So, I hate to say this, but I think the verdict is pretty clear… it was BAD seafood. The beer selection was moderate on draft. They have some specialty cocktails at about $ 10 a piece. We had Manhattans which were a-okay. Nothing bad, nothing exceptional. Since this was their opening night, I will cut them some slack. I wouldn’t say«stay away,» but I would be careful in what you order or just stick with beverages.
