I bought a gift certificate and scheduled a facial for my boyfriend. They offer a deal of $ 20 off your first facial. Having had many spa treatments myself I was really hoping the Bee Alive would be my new go to place now that I live in the area. Unfortunately, this will not be the case. My fist inclination that it wouldn’t meet my expectations was when I went to purchase the gift certificate. Looking back I should have walked away. The woman who helped me and who later did his facial wasn’t personable. She seemed annoyed with having to help me and was a bit rude when I tried to spell my boyfriends last name for her. After spelling it a few times for her I gave up and gave her mine instead. When we walked in the next day the owner was there and introduced herself. She immediately started calling my boyfriend by the wrong name. For privacy reasons I will only go so far as to say when someone gives a name, even if it seems like a nickname,(which it wasn’t in this case), one should assume that’s their preference. My boyfriend reported afterwards that the facial he received was ok at best. He said that the esthetician doing the facial never asked him about his skin, or explained anything to him. He pointed out a few things to her which he said were ignored. He said that the steam was tepid, and that he felt like she just washed his face over and over again. When I went to pick him up the owner was talking loudly to customers, which my partner said he could hear throughout the session. Needless to say we won’t be returning. 3 star value, 1 star service.
