They were GREAT when I purchased Snow Ski set up! They even honored $ 80 dollars of free money coupon that came out after my sale! Great staff. Very knowledgeable and very friendly. Owner is a GREAT guy who is always looking to answer questions. I have been to all the Play it Again Sports in Metro Detroit and most are DUMPS. Novi and Canton are THEE very best with Novi gaining a slight edge on better, newer quality items. Play it Again is the only place for new and gently used Hockey equipment also. Both my boys play since learn to skate at 3. 14 and 12 now and I have tons of time in both Novi and Canton stores for all hockey related items. There NEW hockey gear I have purchased at Novi were all cheaper than discounted internet prices I compared with. Trust me. Novi is a great Store, Great Prices with an awesome staff and great owner. Stopped in with my daughter to buy her some used ice skates on 2⁄26. We were never greeted by either of the store workers, and were only spoken to when we were told «Have a nice day» as we exited the shop. Sorry to say it, but the store staff was anything but helpful.
Since I was only looking for ice skates, I can only say this with certainty: the old, very worn skates on display were priced higher than most of the brand new skates. Am I missing something? Why shouldn’t I just buy these same skates new (and more cheaply, plus not pay taxes) and buy them from Amazon? I won’t be back to this store.

This is a great place if you want to buy used sports equipment. It depends on what you’re looking for if they have it in stock. They have a great selection of ice skates. Most of their skates are for kids but they had at least a handful of adult skates in my size. I picked up a good pair for $ 39 which I thought was a great deal.
They have sports equipment for pretty much every major sport. They are also helpful to help you find what you are looking for.

All of the employees are super helpful. I needed (wanted) a specific style and size of hockey skate and they had no problem with me calling multiple times a week to see if they had gotten any in. In fact, they invited me to «call everyday” — my constant checking in didn’t bother them at all. That definitely made me feel valued as a customer.
Other than their awesome service, this Play It Again has a great selection of sporting goods for a huge range of sports (I even picked up a field hockey ball here the other day!).
I would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for sporting equipment.

What a great place for used equipment! My friend got me into cross country skiing this year and when her extra set of skis broke, I came here looking for my very own pair. I had no clue what to get but I knew I didn’t wanted to spend a fortune (at least not yet).
The gentlemen was knowledgeable in helping me choose used skis and poles. He also changed out the bindings to fit the old, too big for me boots that I’m using. They were ready for me the next morning! Since I’m hooked on the sport I’ll eventually get new boots that fit. When I’m ready to upgrade this is where I’ll go! I was happy that I could get out the door with used gear on the cheap and knowing that I wasn’t pressured into pricey equipment that might not get used was an extra bonus. Since we’ve had so much snow the skis have already paid for themselves.
