I have purchased from here before and loved everything about it. The last time I went in (October 1, 2015 around 3) the girl working was incredibly rude and unprofessional. She was on her phone and did not look very happy to have rung me up. She didn’t even acknowledge me until I needed to be rung up. Needless to say I was not very happy about that.

This is for the store in Novato. This is my first negative review, ever.
When asked for help, I told the salesperson I was looking for a high control, high shine wax. She referred me to Kenra Platinum and Enjoy. I bought the Kenra, only to find it is a medium hold, matte finish wax.
Needless to say, that was something like $ 22 down the drain.

The absolute worst customer service experience. I booked an appointment with a stylist Rachel, got to my appointment 5 minutes early. She was still working on another customer which was no big deal. While I was waiting a friend of hers came in and asked for a haircut. She turned to me and said, well you aren’t my client right. This was my first time in the salon, I was no ones client. Definitely not a way to recruit new clientele. Then she tried to hand me me off to someone else so she could cut her «friends» hair instead. I would expect more from a place charging $ 50.00 a haircut. I know that isn’t highend salon prices, but I would get better customer service going to a place half the price.

I was a walk-​in and desperate to have hair cut prior to vacation. Had never been before. It was evening and Hanna was packed up just about to walk out the door after a long day. She kindly offered to stay and cut my hair. Fabulous haircut — long hair with layers. Great service. Very relaxing too. I will be back.
(The staff at NH2 salon had recommended them which I thought was gracious of them)
PS: had my hair colored at di Pietro Todd the next day and they commented that haircut was great!

Nice and courteous help. The salon is drama free and willing to help place and their stylist can fix bad hair cuts. I have been living in Novato my whole life and this place is one of the «go to» best of marin place to get a hair cut. I should have gone here then the last place that doesn’t even have a curling iron., No rush jobs here and no fake and phoniness like other shops, Sephora employees recommended this place to me.

Went in for a last minute trim and bang cut. Hanna saw me right away, and WOW! She did an amazing job. The cut was beautiful and affordable, she was nice but not overbearing – perfect salon experience.

When you first enter the store, an employee greets you and asks if you are looking for anything special. The store is not that big, but it was great to be shown choices for the products you are looking for. Great customer service !

Lovely stylist give you party hair everyday. They even carry gluten free hair care products. The shop has a nice selection of products and a full staff of stylists. Surely, you can find one who can fill your need. Hannah will fit you in to her schedule at any time and Rachel will give you the latest style! There is a manicurist on staff however I never see her when I’m there. I know she works as the ladies give her glowing reviews.
The redemption card is fun to watch grown for your $ 10 discount.

My hair had been dry and frizzy. Tiffany at Marin Beauty recommended ‘all natural Kendra smoothing treatment’ and I’m so glad that I had this treatment. I had tried straightening hair and CHI smoothing streatment in the past, but this is the best so far. Now it’s easier to work on my hair, and I love my healthy looking hair. Tiffany has done a thorough job on my hair. It takes at least 2 hours to have this treatment done, but the time and money is worthwhile.

I made two hair appointments and both were rescheduled. The first time day I went at the time of my appointment, and they were not ready. They kept postponing it by 30 min. After and hour and half of being posted, I rescheduled for another day. Not only was my schedule hair dresser late the second time I went, but she double booked. After hours of wasted time, i have decided to go elsewhere.

I needed highlights bad– I had an awful case of mommy hair. I quickly Unilocaled hair places in Novato and found that someone had wrote a review on Tiffany Nguyen from Marin Beauty Company.
I wanted to get highlights, but was also interested in the Ombré look, which can be done about 40 different ways. I sat down with Tiffany, who asked me some questions and quickly came up with a game plan.
Furthermore, I also had a time constraint because of my babysitter. Tiffany was quick, efficient and left me with excellent highlights at a very reasonable price!
I would highly recommend her as she is not only very skilled, but really understood what I wanted and achieved it.

A review for my favorite hair stylist Tiffany Nguyen. She is one of the top hair stylist i every met; with professional skills, warm-​hearted, she also provides the most favorable service i’ve ever had. She cut the way i want, and the high-​light she did on my hair are always marvelous. Everyone should give it a try, especially the «Ombré highlight» she provides.
She did a great job not only on hair-​highlighted, and also trimming, blow-​dry, with real organic, non-​chemical product. Also, she is knowledgeable about hair protection product and she will show you how to keep your hair healthy with the less-​expensive but effective product.
Believe me, I will definitely going back to Vintage Oaks shopping only for her hair do.

7:01pm walk in — girl behind the counter is chit chatting away on the phone — I grabbed the ONE product from the wall I was looking for and as I’m walking to the register — I’m told they are closed — register is shut down — it may have been nice to have been told this as I walked in the door!

Man, just when I thought I had found THE best straightening treatment, Ms Sonja Palumbo (a.k.a. Hair Houdini) offers a newer and better smoothing treatment: Reallise Vegan Smoothing System by Zerran. This smoothing system couldn’t have come at a better time as I am pregnant and have been reading stories over growing concerns that the Brazilian Blowout and Coppola Keratin treatment may contain harmful chemicals. I felt at complete ease knowing that the Reallise Smoothing System was made with 100% natural ingredients and was free of all chemicals. My only question was whether you needed those chemicals to in fact get silky, smooth hair. The answer is NO YOU DON’T! It’s been over a month since I’ve had the treatment and my hair has stood up against rain, humidity, washing and blow drys. Eureka! Oh, and one other major convenience is that you only have to wait 24 hours to wash your hair! A huge plus for the active gal.

I have been purchasing hair products here for some time, but no more. A week ago I purchased shampoo and conditioner and was not verbally told that the sale was final because it was a «special». The conditioner I bought sticks to my hair like glue, and I would think that any reputable business would understand that no consumer wants to keep a product that is not right for her. All I was told (by two different sales people) that the return policy is clear. Well, clear enough for me to take my bucks elsewhere… and I will find a new salon to do my cuts as well.
2 Days later… OK, this message got to the owner who graciously offerred me to exchange the conditioner for a different product. That’s good customer service, and I appreciate it. Now, maybe the weekday staff can learn to be more customer focused.
