We had our 4⁄8 treatments scheduled for today and someone accidentally scheduled us a week off:/ however Amy went above and beyond to make it right and get us in! We are on a tight schedule with these treatments and live out of the area with family coming to town this week our schedule is especially tight. I’m so grateful that Amy was able to make it work for us, I don’t know what we would have done! Better yet, the nurse(Ashley) we were placed with was so thorough! We will be requesting her from now on!

Friendly staff. Very flexible hours to accommodate for people with busy schedules. The clinic was spotlessly clean and the treatment was quick and efficient. I plan on getting more work done after my sessions are up. The only reason I’m giving a 4, is because I called for my precautions sheet to be emailed to me and I never got it. so I had to go back and get it myself. Other than that, great place.

I love going to my appointments. I had lasered my underarms 20 years ago and it was so painful!!! So I was so scared to go again. With the new technology now, it’s nothing like back then. It doesn’t hurt! They are friendly, clean, and polite. I would recommend them to anyone.

Recently when in here to get an estimate on tattoo removal. The ladies there were very personable and after about an hour of my endless repetitive questions I decided this was the center for me. I have a large neck tattoo(I know I know…) but I got a great groupon deal and decided to check them out. Excellent location. A hidden gem.

I have had nothing but efficient experiences here. Keep your appointment and there won’t be a problem. I called because there was ridiculous traffic on my way and I was going to be 20 minutes late for my appt. Amy move around things and was able to squeeze me in anyway. Highly professional staff and everything is very chic and clean. They are busy so it is difficult to get an appointment on short notice, so keep your appointments!

I was pretty skeptical of this place because of the negative reviews but after a few months of thinking about it I thought why not? I bought the Groupon for $ 99. I was in the area and dropped in without calling ahead. Like said I was pretty skeptical and kind of anticipating poor service but to my surprise the girl at the desk was friendly. They had me fill out a profile and then talk to a coordinator. All the rooms were in use so she did my consult in the stock room which I thought to be a bit odd but I’m easy going so whatever. I told her my area of interest and that if it went well I’d consider coming back for other treatments. She then informed me of a promotion going on that would cut said treatments in half. I said I’d think about it. Then to my very pleasant surprise she told me they could do my first treatment right then and there! The treatment was fast and painless and the woman administering the treatment was super friendly. By the next day I already noticed a huge difference. I was sold. I called and and bought the additional treatments. I went in and did the two additional areas and I’m very pleased with my results so far. I wish I had done this sooner!

Ugh, I kinda hate this place. I am in the process of getting hair removal and chose this place because they were offering an amazing deal. You know the kind, where the price is so good but for such a limited time that you don’t have a chance to check out other places. Well, I’m getting what I’m paying for. Yes, I am seeing some results with the treatment, though I still have random patches that are growing back in full. My big problem is with the staff. I have interacted with several of them now and only 2 were remotely polite. One was Amy at the front desk, the other was one of the nurses who I think quit. The others are all super rude and impersonal, treating me like I’m such a burden just for being there to get a treatment. They don’t even introduce themselves and ask how I am doing. They just walk in and say, «are you ready yet?» In a super irritated tone. That’s a poor way to be treated, especially right before you have said individuals getting all up in you private areas. I am still going to finish my treatments because I already paid for them, but I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

I hate giving bad reviews. Especially when I’ll look like«she got a Groupon and doesn’t have room to bitch», but I’m admitting that up front. 6 years ago I had the hair on my upper lip laser treated. I went for 6 treatments, about a month apart. It worked beautifully. NO hair for years. At about year 5 I started getting regrowth, as expected. I got the Groupon for the Grand Opening of this location. I was excited to get it done again and the price was great. I traveled 60 miles round trip btw to do this — because the price was so great. After about treatment #4 I started to comment that I wasn’t seeing the results I expected. I got a lot of canned answers that didn’t fit with my previous experience of laser hair removal on the exact same area of my body. I finished the 6 sessions today. My previous experience was 6 sessions and I was hair free for 5 years! They told me to get my upper lip hair free, I was only half way done and needed to purchase another 6 session series. WHAT? They should not be surprised at this review as I told them this in the office.

I recently came in for my first appointment at LaserAway at Novato location, and there was so much confusion and miscommunication from the LaserAway end. I’m extremely unsatisfied with the quality of service given, as well as professionalism of LaserAway staff. First off, when I called to make an appointment and indicated that I wanted upper lip area done, the LaserAway staff who confirmed the appointment never said anything about having to prepare anything, and in fact, told me to come unshaven, as is, so that the technician can verify if I’m a good candidate. When I came in for the appointment, the receptionist claimed that I did not fill out the necessary forms beforehand, when I didn’t get any kind of electronic forms to fill out from LaserAway before that appointment. I was fine filling out the forms beforehand, but this was the start of lack of professionalism as there was no communication from LaserAway beforehand as the office claimed there should be. As I began the appointment, there was NO consultation given to see whether or not I was a good candidate for upper lip. When the technician saw that I haven’t shaven, I tried to explain to her that when I first made the appointment, the receptionist asked to not shave the upper lip so that they can see if the hair is dark enough. The technician kept telling me that I was wrong, that there should have been consultation already beforehand. She verified with the receptionist, and came back and without any explanation as to why there was miscommunication, started on the shaving and laser treatment.(The first receptionist might have told me the wrong information over the phone when I made the appointment, but that is not my fault and I should not have made to feel bad for following directions of the clinic.) The fact that there WASNOCONSULTATIONGIVEN, and the technician was so confused, and this miscommunication between LaserAway staff members showed lack of professionalism and the fault should NOT have been put on the patient. It says on the fine-print that consultation is required and that non-candidates will be offered a refund, but when I asked the technician if I’m a good candidate, all she said was, «I don’t know, everyone is different.» Isn’t that what the consultation is for? Who am I then supposed to see to confirm that I’m a good candidate? Now, as I see the hairs on my upper lip, it’s growing out THICKER than before, and this is not my first time having hair removal laser treatment done on my upper lip, so I have shaven my lip before and have gotten laser treatment done, and it never came out this thick. I’m very upset at the service that I got, and the fact that no consultation was given whether to assure me that I’m a good candidate or not, and if not(which looks to be the case because it’s growing out thicker), should have given a full refund back as it says on the fine print.

Very disappointed! Bought groupon and read entire instructions. Groupon said: can buy up to two vouchers(6 treatments) for large area. Groupon says«must use all treatments in the same area.» I tried to do a bikini treatment. Drove all the way from the East Bay just to get the great service mentioned on Unilocal.Esmeralda tells me that unfortunately the corporate office is refusing to honor these and will only allow you to use the three different sessions on different areas of the body. She tried to get another $ 800 out of me. Nope. Very unethical and sneaky. The company is not honoring what the groupon actually says.

Great place to get layered! The machine blows cold air on the area and stops irritation before it even begins. I really like that there’s no extra piece being added to the machine that has to touch my skin while getting lasered. I’ve gotten the same services at another boutique and had horrible reactions every time. At the San Francisco location, my girl gives me numbing cream as well as hydrocortisone for after the treatment. She’s very cautious to not hurt me! Love it. I’ve recommended it to lots of friends and will continue to!

The laser is awesome! However the customer service isn’t the greatest. I didn’t want to judge after my 1st visit so I waited. After three sessions I can honestly say that I may visit another location instead of the Marina location. They’re many other services that I’m interested in but this location falls very low in customer service.
