Gymboree

Gymboree is Gymboree. You know what you’re going to find at the store. The layouts and product selections at all of them are pretty standard.
The customer service at this Gymboree is definitely lacking. It’s totally hit or miss. Sometimes, the people working there are über helpful. Other times, it’s obvious that the employees hate their jobs.
I tend to shop at this location, but I never expect to receive great customer service.

I love love love Gymboree clothes. They are super cute and my daughter gets so many compliments every single time.
The store is clean and organized and I always get great deals with my coupons.
The TV at the store keeps my daughter busy but I wish they didn’t take the bench away.
And Linda is my favorite SA at the store. She is very welcoming, friendly and helpful. She always checks on me while i am shopping and offers me to look up for items that I can’t find at the store. I keep going back to this store because of the amazing clothes and because of her. Most of the staff at this location are very helpful too. I had a bad experience once but Linda called me and addressed my concerns.
It’s hard to find this level of customer experience these days and I am glad Gymboree has such amazing staff.

I have always liked this brand even before having a child but it’s the Novato store and the staff there that makes me go back time and time again.
Linda, the store manager, and her staff are super helpful! Always warm, welcoming and ready to help me find whatever I may be in need of. They keep the store clean, well stocked and organized which makes for a productive shopping experience every time. I do love how they are always willing to search for items in their stock room and/​or call other store to locate what I am looking for.
I know I will miss shopping here when my daughter outgrows the brand but thankfully I still have a few more years before that happens.

The Gymboree in Novato is wonderful! I’ve been to many other Gymboree stores over the years, but this one really impresses me. I find myself coming here more often than I should, partly because of its convenient location right next to Starbucks (where I also go too often) and partly because there are always great deals on the sale rack. The quick list of things I love about the Novato Gymboree:
1. Super, super nice salespeople. They are really friendly without being pushy or hovering. I once had one salesperson call multiple other stores to find an item for me without my even asking her, she just offered to do so. She then processed my complicated return while arranging for free shipment of the new item, all with a smile. Another salesperson once brought out a variety of deeply discounted sale items from the back room for me to look through when she noticed I was looking for a particular size. They are just helpful and nice.
2. The store is clean and well organized. I can always find what I’m looking for quickly, and even if there are a lot of people in the store it’s not a nightmare to navigate.
3. The TV area in the back for kids. I bring my son with me sometimes and he loves to sit and watch cartoons (Nick Jr. stuff, no commercials) and talk to the other kids. I’m happy, he’s happy, it’s wonderful.
4. Deals, deals, deals. The sale rack here is fantastic. If you’re a rewards member and bring your coupons, you’ll really get some bargains. I just stocked up for next year during the Gymbucks redemption period and it was a great value.
So, if you’re looking for children’s clothing in Northern Marin, this is the place to go. Two big thumbs up.
