Food normally great when it is completed correctly. Ingredient amounts range which can be a let down at times. Here comes another not so positive review. This is what I wrote to Chipotle Corp. «Hello, Unfortunately I am not very pleased. I have probably ordered from you at least 8 times in the last 2 weeks. I WAS in a Chipotle zone. I use ordering on line. I called, explained my bowl didn’t seem right. It was missing something(s). I narrowed it down to sour cream and tomato salsa(?). I told him I wasn’t looking for anything just wanted to let him know it wasn’t right. I’ve been getting this pretty much every other day, I know when it doesn’t taste correct. Said thank you and the good-bye. I did NOTWANTANYTHING. „Gil“ called back and and was disputing what I had told him. I did not call to complain complain. I called to make sure it wouldn’t happen again. Now, I’m thoroughly pissed because he made it seem like I was lying. He politely made me feel I was wrong. So, if I’m wrong, why doesn’t my bowl taste the same way it normally does? So, my take away from my purchase from Chipotle is that Gil needs to be correct at the customers expense, period. I probably won’t be back for a long time because I hold grudges when I’m treated poorly. I write amazing reviews EVERYWHERE and only write to companies when I feel very passionately WITH either positive OR negative experiences. This is ABSOLUTELY a bad experience.» I wasn’t complaining about the work, we all make errors. I was calling to let them know and he turned the call around to the negative. Gil needs an attitude adjustment or is just having a bad day. My update is: I heard back from Corp and I wrote them a bit more. Jillian did an excellent job of understanding the issue and then finding a solution. That’s all I ever wanted. Hopefully Gil figures it out. :-).

If they had«negative» stars, it would be negative followed by 10. I used to live in SF and used the App to pre order. they executed 50% of the time. Well, the Novato location is 100% never ready! The managers actual quote was«you’re here early» ummm. There was no freakin customers in there! The quality really is horrendous, they never get the order right, and portion are never consistent. Other reviewers are right on, every time I’ve been there, they’ve run out of rice, chicken or forget the guacamole that I pay extra for($ 2.65)! I actually can’t wait until their jobs are replaced by robots. at least they won’t expect a $ 5 raise every year with benefits. I’m so sick of their«I can’t be bothered with you» attitudes. How many time do we need to order a chicken bowl with guacamole only to arrive home to see that there is NO chicken or the guac!!! When chipotles food is done properly, it’s very delicious but this is just too much. I’m so disappointed and will Never return. I’m also sending a copy of this to there corporate office to see if they care.

This Chipotle location is definitely not managed by the A-Team. More like the C-Team. The management is horrible and the employees don’t do anything to keep the production line going. I have gone to this Chipotle location many times, and I have never had a good experience. They are always running out of food, and they don’t bother to have the chefs start cooking more food when they see that they are running low. The customer service is terrible, and on multiple occasions I have asked for rice and no beans, and they just immediately start putting beans on my burrito or bowl. Then when I tell them that I said«no beans» they look at me with dumb, glazed over eyes. Once I went at 6pm to pick a quick dinner, they were out of chicken. When I asked how long it would be before the chicken would be ready, they said, and I quote«There’s no more chicken.» 20 minutes later, my friend went to the same Chipotle location, and they had chicken. Another time they claimed they had no lettuce. When I made a stink about it, the woman behind the counter opened the bottom fridge and pulled out a fresh container of lettuce. I don’t expect much when I go to Chipotle, but I usually have a good experience when I go to one. The Chipotle in San Rafael is fantastic, but this one is absolute crap. The service is lackluster and the management is terrible. I would recommend either going to another Chipotle location or just going somewhere else. I hope at some point this location gets good staff and proper managers, but for now, this location is a total bust.

This location gives the smallest portions out of any Chipotle I’ve been to. Instead of refilling ingredients when they’re out, they just scrape the sides and give you what’s left. Even when the ingredients aren’t empty, their serving sizes are smaller than usual. I usually enjoy Chipotle but this location makes me feel like I’m being ripped off for the amount of food I get for what I pay. So sad that this is the only Chipotle in Novato. I’d rather drive to the San Rafael location than eat here. Give portions equal to other locations!

I’ve gone to this location 3 times and they’ve all been horrible experiences. Compared to all the other Chipotles, they give such LITTLE portions. I just came here for dinner and the guy who took my order talked way too fast that it was so hard to understand. I do not know why he was rushing me considering there was no other customer behind me. I also did not appreciate the dirty looks from one of the girl employee there. It was very rude. HORRIBLECUSTOMERSERVICE. These employees always do a FANTASTIC job of showing how much they hate working here!

Wasn’t sure based on the number of people who have become ill eating at Chipotle and the reviews by others whether I wanted to go to Chipotle or not. But I love Mexican food and figured I’d just chance it. It was fantastic. The food is great, the serving size was good, the service was great. Everything exactly the way we want it to be.

I don’t know if the issue here is that the chain has changed since I experienced its first restaurant in San Francisco or that this location has issues. Either way I’m not a fan. Ingredients that are cold or don’t seem to match their dollar value in size, quality or flavor are the order of the day. The place is always clean and using the mobile app or website means being able to skip the line. I just wish the end product was worth it.

Food was fine and as expected. Service was weak. I stood in line, by myself, and wasn’t greeted by any of the four employees behind the counter. One worked on making chips, one was serving another customer, one tickling the last while she called out his name(Anthony). The tickling happened more than once and the evidential greeting was«what would you like?» I rotate this place with In&Out and Chick-fil-A. I’m taking it out of rotation today.

Normally we are big Chipotle fans, sadly this review does not reflect a good experience. To start, when we arrived there were no customers so you would expect the service to be exemplary. We weren’t even greeted. I ordered a veggie rice bowl, my boyfriend ordered a burrito. For the burrito we asked for extra rice no beans, there was hardly any rice to begin with, the server was literally scraping the corners of the rice pan to try and get enough for the regular serving. Then we asked for more rice and were told we would need to wait two minutes. Sadly we were there 5 and a new rice had not come out. Instead we asked for extra chicken since the rice was about half of the regular serving. They were low on chicken so we only got a small portion. My boyfriend wanted steak but they were out of that to! For my veggie bowl I asked for the guacamole and sour cream to be put on the side in containers. The guacamole was almost empty and they did not even go to the back to try and refill so I could get the actual serving size amount. Instead they scraped all the sides and corners and didn’t even fill the side dish container. Then at the register they tried to charge me for a side of guacamole and I had to remind them that a veggie rice bowl comes with guacamole. After we left we arrived home and realized they did not remember to put my side of sour cream in our to go bag! This was VERY disappointing. Usually when the containers of food are low the staff refills instead of desperately scraping the edges to try and meet the serving amount. It was also upsetting that the staff made no effort to better our experience despite hardly having the right amount of food, accidentally almost charging us for a side of guacamole, and forgetting to give us the sour cream! On top of all that when we were leaving the rice had still not been replaced! Overall very upsetting and disappointed in our experience.

I have had very good experiences with Chipotle, except the one in Novato. Since the opening of this restaurant, the staff has been extremely slow compared to the other chains locations. On other occasions, they have a problem listening to the customer… i.e. — you tell them all the things you want and its like they instantly forget them and ask if you want them. Tonight my wife called in an order. She ordered Barbacoa meatless tacos for me. Unfortunately, she forgot to check it before she left. If she did — she would’ve noticed they made the taco’s with nothing but rice, beans, lettuce, and salsa… OOOPS — they just forgot the Barbacoa. I will not be going back there. I’d rather chance a taco truck!

Wow, WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT !!! Lowest customer satisfaction rating. Food was ok, service was prompt and pleasant but I wasn’t told about hidden charges for Guacamole, and for the amount I received for the price, it was a crime. I also was not told up front about what standard items and toppings they were out of until after they put my food together. That would have been a handy piece of info to have up front, while I still had other options nearby that were still open. I walked in ½ hour before closing and they should have told me NOCHEESE right away. I would have waited for another day when I could actually enjoy the meal. They actually said they had more in the back when I asked, but then didn’t actually have any to get for me. The excuse was that they only had so much for the day and when they run out, that’s it. They also offered Guacamole along with their salsas but then charged me for it without letting me know they were charging for it. The salsas were free. They sure did sucker me. I ended up paying over 13.00, and for what I got, it was NOTWORTHIT. Avoid CHEAT-POTLE, and try Mi Pueblo right down the street. You might wait a few minutes more, but the food is WAYBETTER, and the prices are too. If you are in that much of a hurry, just skip Chipotle and eat afterwards.

Today was the first time I had tacos at Chipotle, and they are delicious! Three tacos for $ 8.50, I think … I love the barbacoa; but, will not get it again in a taco due to the sogginess of the taco shells, but they were delicious. The service is always getting better!

Food: 5⁄5 Absolutely love the food. Fresh, nutritious, delicious. Service: 2⁄5 This is the biggest problem. Sometimes, the service is great. Other times, the service sucks. Two of the managers are rude and clearly lack good customer service. The majority of the employees also lack enthusiasm. The place is often dirty without a clean table to sit. There are a few great employees(and one manager who is awesome) but when they are not there, service is horrible. Location: 4⁄5 Not difficult to miss but the parking can be an issue during rush hour. Atmosphere: 4⁄5 Nothing exceptional but not bad either. * Note: I’ve been to other Chipotles as well. This review is specifically for this location, not the overall chain.

I’m normally not that big of a «fast food burrito» fan, but I know that to a lot of people in the area Chipotle is a religion so I thought I would give them a try. The place was clean and since we were first in line we were in and out in about 5 – 7 min total so those are both pluses. They have a good selection of salsas and even brown rice as an option so again, both pluses. Parking is a pain because the lot is small, not really something they have to much control over but something to keep in mind. The guacamole is $ 1.95 and chips are $ 3 so we both splurged for quac but skipped chips. This got our 2 burritos out the door for about $ 20 and they were A-OK. Overall I think I have been spoiled by La Hacienda and Mi Pueblo, both down the block from here. So I may not be back often but at least I can say I see the appeal now.

I LOVE Chipotle… I’ve been eating at various Chipotles in AZ for many years. The food is consistently delicious and great for a low carb diet(no rice, beans or tortilla) and I always walk away satisfied! The only reason I can’t give this particular Chipotle Restaurant 5 stars is because of the cleanliness issue. It’s ALWAYS dirty and messy. In AZ, the staff were trained to clean often and thoroughly, but here, I don’t think they wipe the place down until the end of the night. :( So be sure to get your food to go or eat outside!!!

It’s a Mexican chain in Ca, which shouldn’t work but it does. I’ve only eaten here a few times and it’s ok. It’s like a bland version of Mexican food, not impressive and kind of forgetful. The employees are nice, they work quickly and yell at each other about Guac(it’s ok I can pay extra). I don’t understand charging extra for chips and salsa, but it’s a fast food Mexican chain so ya know. They have free parking, tables turn over quickly and there is outdoor seating in back. The dining area gets hot after three pm, bug it’s shaded outside. Good location and ample bottles of tobasco«hot» sauce.

I agree with most of the reviewers on here; the portions are really small… I usually get three crunchy tacos and I always leave here unsatisfied. I totally prefer this over Taco Bell(when I’m in a hurry). Can get to be somewhat pricey when adding sides such as sour cream, and guac, however this probably won’t stop me from coming here. The place itself is pretty clean(including the bathroom) however avoid this place during the lunch hour rush; usually between 1 – 2, sometimes you will have to wait for a table
