This place is great! Here is why: — They only carry the best brands of power equipment. — The staff is knowledgeable and will help you pick out the right equipment for your needs. — They provide excellent service and support to keep your equipment running in top shape. I have a Hasquarvarna mower which had a leaky fuel line. I went into Buck’s and they fixed me up with a new fuel line for $ 2. Took less than five minutes, and fit perfectly on the machine when I got home. Of course they would have gladly installed it for me had I asked. All in all, it’s a friendly small town store which makes sure you leave with what you need. They’ve earned my business!

These guys know their stuff! We went in for a chainsaw and got a full education on the equipment with a smile. Super knowledgable and excellent customer service. Actually looking forward to our next project so we can visit again.

The staff is cool, knowledgable and gets it done. I recently took my Stilhl chain saw here as I didn’t feel it was generating enough chain oil and they disassembled, cleaned, repaired, reassembled and tested while I waited. Talk about customer service… from my perspective Bucks is a bench mark for superior customer service, product knowledge and fair pricing.

I ordered $ 13.74 worth of small parts to be sent to Hawaii. The parts weighed less than 6 ounces. They charged me $ 45.65 shipping costs without telling me!!. It could have been shipped for less than $ 4.00 by USPS. They have little regard for the customer when it comes to shipping costs and not the courtesy to advise the buyer in advance of filling the order. This is one very unthoughtful company with a very poor attitude. The correct parts were shipped. Bad business in the«care» department!!!

Chainsaw novice? This is a GREAT place to go. These guys, or at least Jeff, the guy who helped me, have experience and a good selection of Stihl chainsaws from which to select. I don’t think I was pressured or oversold, I learned good safety tips, and I wasn’t made to feel like an idiot because I knew little about saws. Stihl saws aren’t sold in big box stores, so that’s not an option, but I’ll gladly pay a fair price for the time, knowledge and consideration shown. Oh yeah, the saw I purchased(MS-250) is just the trick for what I needed to do in the backyard. I hope these guys are around for many more years.

One thing to add to the other glowing reviews is what incredible mechanics they are. In an era of throw-away tools, this store is an exceptional exception!!! They can diagnose, fix, or tune most any quality tool. They are my go to repair shop for home and work.

This is the best«hardware» store for lawn and garden ANYWHERE!!! Great stuff, knowledgable and kind staff, fair prices. Avoid the box store, come here and get it right the first time!

I buy all my power tools for outdoors from Bucks and have my power tools serviced there. The service is terrific. Saturday mornings in the springtime the store is packed with customers but the staff is very kind and willing to take the time to explain features on all the tools in their stocked display room. The staff treats both contractors and homeowners with respect. I hope Buck’s is a part of Novato for years to come.

I take all my power tools to them for repair. I’ve also bought many tools from them — not the cheapest, but they are solid.
