WOW Cafe

So, I walk into wow… there’s no one in the entire place. No one behind the counter… nothing. Finally, the lady walks from the back, and she rudely says, «Just sit over there or at the bar.» Ugh! She was rude from beginning to end. It’s sad, too. New Orleans East doesn’t have many places to offer as far as eateries go. I thought this was gonna be my spot. I guess not.

Just not sold on this place. Food is not bad. Typical bar food/​wing joint. Sports Bar sit up inside. Service is typically just ok. It’s just so expensive. Hard to pay those prices for carry out bar food.

Good salads on some days, the staff are usually really nice. The major downfall is they have a full bar but no one knows how to make a drink. The wings are pretty good too depending on the flavor and who’s cooking in the back. But their food is better than the Chalmette location.

They probably have me fooled but I will take it. This is a sports bar/​carry out/​fast casual restaurant specializing in wings. It is a franchise so the quality of food is pretty controlled.
I really like the wings by themselves. I found the sauces too sweet. The service at this location is great though. I’m not sure on the pricing 15 wings for $ 12 bucks or maybe $ 14.
You can get spooked because it is rarely full. But if you stay there long enough you see they have a pretty consistent string of people ordering take out.
I am thinking they could do even better if they held more events. Otherwise it is a waste of a pretty good size space. My husband for instance would love a monthly spades tournament. When we just visited today we wondered why they didn’t have something for the All Star Weekend going on. I hope they will survive because it isn’t like there are a lot of options in NOLA East.
OH and there is ms pac man!!! You should go just for that

More of a bar so it’s seat yourself. The bar tender was also the waiter so it was slow. Still able to handle it alright. The food is amazing. My husband had the wings and he loved it. I had the burger and loved the soft sour dough bun. All around amazing. We will be coming back.

I just wanted to reach out and touch… a spot that was really near to me. I wanted to eat but nothing too formal.
Pretty cool spot in New Orleans east to grab a drink. and get some WANGS… That’s right, you heard me, WANGS. They have some of the best in the area.
Plenty of screens to watch NBA, NFL etc.
The bar is stocked really nicely with all of the crowd favorites.

This is the worst restaurant I have ever been to. The first time I went here I ordered chips and salsa. They told me they has no salsa, so I ordered nachos. They told me they had no cheese. Then a friend got a quesadilla with both salsa and cheese.
I went back two days later because there is nowhere else to eat in East New Orleans. We were not seated for ten minutes, it took about ten more minutes for drink and food orders (there was no one else there). We stayed for a total of one hour and by that time we had still not received any food or drinks so we left.
Absolutely ridiculous and unacceptable. Go to Sol’s pizza down the street instead!

This location is kind of hit or miss… sometimes the service is fast and great and sometimes it’s slow and lacking. The food is always good tho. The last time I was there, there was absolutely no one else in the restaurant. The only server was also the bartender. It took her much longer than it should have to make one mixed drink and pour a glass of wine (I am a bartender so I know how long it should take for drinks to be made). She was very nice and attentive tho (as much as she could, she quickly got busy and was the only one working).

I came here when I was living in New Orleans East. Needed wifi. They had it so I was happy. I ordered wings. I do not remember how it tasted but I know I was hungry. I like the quiet /​peacefulness in here. lol. It is relaxing when I went there!

The service at this place was horrible, I don’t recommend my worst enemy coming here. We waited 30 minutes just to get a simple drink, and another hour for our food. The servers need more training, because I refuse to believe their the servers can be that bad. I hate to say it, but this place is making hard for black owned and operated businesses!

I placed a order over the phone and was told it would he ready in 15 minutes. I waited 25 before leaving my home (about a 10minute drive) when I arrived I have to wait about 10 minutes fort food. (Which wasn’t that good).

We ended up waiting 20 minutes for the waitress to come by and take our orders, including drinks. The place was empty at the time so there was no excuse. After our order was placed we waited 30 more minutes before our food got to us. By then our beers were dry, and I was too pissed to order another one. We asked for silverware so we could eat our meals, and then waited another 3 – 5 minutes for plastic forks. The food was good though. I ordered 12 boneless with Thai sauce and key west sauce, the honey coleslaw was a little too sweet for me.
All in all, this must be one of the worst places I’ve been. I’m US Coast Guard and have eaten in every state on the eastern seaboard wrapped around to Texas. The customer service leaves much to be desired. I will not be partaking in their services ever again. If they don’t charge us an 18% mandatory charge for parties of 6 or more the waitress Will be getting $ 0.01 cent from me as a tip.
I hate to say this, but I think the color of our skin was a determining factor when it came to the service we received. At the time we were the only table that had Caucasian people at the table (although I’m Cuban). There were other groups that came in after us, and were served before us.
It was just brought to my attention that the bathrooms were not in better shape. Boo these people… BOOOOOOO

Okay, I’ve been to this place three times. The first time I went, the service was okay. Our server was polite, the food was good & the noise level was just fine because there weren’t many people there. The second time I went I order a side of loaded fries wings to go & the bartender tried to tell me I could not have it like that until I informed I’ve had it before. The manager corrected her & informed her I was correct. She didn’t apologize for it & she had a nasty attitude. The third and last time I went, I order my food over the phone and when I got there, no one asked me if I needed help for about 5 minutes, so I left. The manager is really nice, but her staff is very unprofessional. New Orleans East doesn’t have much in the area and I like to support black businesses. But the lack of professionalism turned me off. I haven’t been back in months.

Felt like a minority here… Was treated very rudely by the waitress. People of other persuasions were seated WELL after us, drink and food orders taken WELL before us, and had there food brought to them first. We got our order, it was wrong and cold. sent it back, came out wrong again. Ended up just dealing with it since there wasn’t a manager in the place according to our waitress.

Ok, I usually don’t write reviews such as this, but… I have NEVER EVER EVER been treated so poorly. I got up and walked out of the restaurant before ever ordering a drink. WE WERE NOT SERVED BECAUSE WE WERE WHITE!!! I CAN NOT BELIEVE WHAT HAPPENED. Multiple waitresses walked by us and refused to even look our way. When we asked someone for a drink they refused to acknowledge us. We were the only white people in the restaurant with only a handful of customers in the restaurant. I WILL NEVER GO BACK!!!

New Orleans East doesn’t have much at all and what they do have turns out to be places like this. Came in and ordered a plain old burger and a water. My friends ordered the $ 3 margaritas and burgers. Took us 10 minutes to get our orders in. Then 20 minutes to get our food. They had 1 server for the whole restaurant, so it’s not totally her fault. Burger was not great at all and wasn’t close to a gourmet burger.
The worst part was waiting 20 minutes for my change. I still tipped 40%, but in no way did she earn it. If you want crappy burgers in New Orleans East, go to Burger King or McDonald’s instead.

The food is great! The staff is a little unprofessional and can be really loud when talking to each other.

The margaritas were good … The food was good… the service that we received from the bartender was horrid

I have been to many WOW Restaurants. They are usually not my favorite places, but it may have changed with the new location in New Orleans East. I absolutely love that this location is so convenient and in my part of town. Its in a central location around a lot of places maybe too close to the gym though!
I went here for a lunch meeting, such a pleasant environment and its really nice inside. Great place for lunch or dinner with a super friendly staff, they are very smiley which I like.
I had the Mac n Cheese with Wings. Omg, the mac n cheese is something I can just go order a big bowl of all the time. It was so creamy and just perfection, I love it! The wings was tasty with the BBQ sauce everything was great and I have no complaints about this location whatsoever.
