Winn-Dixie

This is not the best Winn Dixie to do your grocery shopping. They don’t have much of a selection and the staff is not friendly. I suggest driving a couple of more miles down Jefferson Highway to the bigger Winn Dixie in River Ridge to do your shopping.

Well this is certainly NOT the best win-​dixie that I have ever been to. The only real reason I ever go here is because it is close to my residence and they got a Redbox kiosk. Other than that the only real saving graces are when they have specials on junk food.
The reason I am giving this particular store a low review is because I was buying some blueberries and noticed that they had mold in them. I went and looked through all the other pint boxes of blueberries almost all of the rest of them had mold as well. I finally found a pint box that appeared to be mold free. I informed the cashier about what had happened. He just said,“oh well, not my problem”. When I got home I noticed that the blueberries I had purchased had mold also. Yuck, they really need to be better with their fresh produce!
In short it is okay for junk food and canned food but not so much for fresh produce.

I wouldn’t recommend this grocery store if u are in a hurry or u are someone who’s bothered by drug deals going down in the parking lot. I thought it would be like the one on Vets Blvd, but ummm not so much. A nicer, cleaner, and close grocery store would be Rouse’s on Airline in Metairie. Just sayin’.

When ever my husband and I are traveling, we like to stop in a local grocery store and check out what local items we might find. When we were dating, some of first dates were grocery store shopping! So here we are in Jefferson and found this Winn-​Dixie and decided to take a look around.
They had the usual items, fresh fruits and veggies, the meats look good and great prices. Since we were in Louisiana, we wanted to pick up some coffee and some beignet box mixes, and they were diffidently cheaper here than in the Quarter, so we got what we needed.
