Sadly, this is the type of(Mom-n-Pop) store that’s vanishing all across ‘Murica – The owner is definitely someone you can trust… he is also extremely knowledgeable in everything he does at this shop. You can’t go wrong with WEBB’s BYWATERMUSIC!!!

Walked in with friend and an amp. Dude fixed it right there in front of us. 20 minutes. 20 bucks. Completely legit. This is where you should take your gear.

I was here recently for a live band, Mountain of Wizard, and the setting was this music store. Awesome! The owner Paul Webb was very accommodating and knowledgeable. He was also the drummer in that band. Really cool! By the loos of it, there is a odd selection of gear for sale. I mean from several decades. Ultra new to ancient analog coolness. I haven’t actually needed or bought anything from him yet but I can tell it will be a very enlightening experience when I do. Check it out!

One of a kind establishment nestled in a one of a kind neighborhood. Paul is a straight up, honest, and fair dude who clearly has a special ability to restore all kinds of equipment back to life. He really saved me when I was in a pinch. Forget the big box music stores, first go here for repairs, sales, trades, and knowledge.

Great lil music shop in the Bywater. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. The owner is originally from the Midwest like myself so we hit it off right away. They sell instruments and accessories. If he doesn’t have in stock what you are looking for he can order it or find it for you(including certain type of used instrument). He also has a guy come on Saturdays that gives private lessons.

My favorite music shop in New Orleans. Honestly the only place I’ve gone where the people are super nice and helpful. I brought in my bass for a repair, and just like the other reviewer he re-sodered the pot in like 10 minutes and charged me a reasonable price. He’s got a ton of great gear for sale, all at reasonable prices. I live Uptown but make the drive down to the Bywater just to shop here. Thumbs up.

Also not much of a reviewer, but I had a great experience here as well… called him up, told him the issue I was having & he told me to bring it down there(on a Sunday at that:) when I arrived w/my amp he pulled out the old voltage meter, then a soldering iron & addressed the circuit issue, then tested the tubes & threw some new ones in where needed & had my amp ready in under 20min!!! Honest guy w/fair prices & coffee right next door, the way it should be…

First ever review I’ve left anywhere, for anything. I was extremely impressed by the repair performed here. I brought in my Mini-KP: one of the RCA inputs was damaged as was the headphone output. The dude(forgot his name) repaired it while I waited *in front of me.* Seems like a minor deal, but it’s indicative of honesty, which is a big deal in electronic/auto/anything repairs. Took him 15 – 20 minutes, and he charged me $ 10! Way less than you would normally expect to pay for electronics repair. Very fair, very honest, very pleased.
