WAX

Amazing all around! I’m so happy I found this place. I was in a pinch when I realized how out of control my facial hair had become — and not being from here I had little hope but to Unilocal it! The wax salon is located inside an Aveda hair salon. The ambiance was beautiful — from décor to music. The staff was friendly and helpful. But my wax girl Elizabeth was the best! She was professional and an expert at her craft. They were even nice enough to allow me to use their advertised discount — even though I am an out of towner. Can’t wait to come back to NOLA and use their services again.

I’m a fella with some thick eyebrows, and I’ve tried tweezing them myself, but it took forever and made my skin swell. But getting them waxed was incredibly fast and painless compared to just tweezing myself. I was in and out. Highly recommend!

I literally just got finished with my first Brazilian and am very happy with my experience/​results. Elizabeth did a great job and talked to me the whole time to help me forget about the waxing. Yes it hurt, but the pain disappeared as fast as it came. I will def be back here and highly recommend Elizabeth.

Everyone has their own version of nesting. Some people buy furniture, matching hand towels, add crown molding… I on the other hand search for someone to wax my lady bits. Once I’ve found a solid waxer, I know that I’ve found a place I can really call home.
Enter Elizabeth, the grand messiah of all things waxing. Not only did she put me at ease (since taking your pants off sober with a strange, while they apply wax to your vag can be traumatic), she was also hilarious, personable and generally just super cool. I feel like someday if I work really hard I might be able to be as cool as she is… but probably not. A gal can dream.
She also is an eyebrow goddess! I’ve been growing mine in for awhile, but needed them cleaned up and shaped a little bit. Problem solved. Now I can throw shade with theseerfectly arched brows!

The waxing went quickly and wasn’t too painful. I hadn’t had mine done in a couple months so it was a bit painful and the room was tiny and not very comfortable, the atmosphere kind of plastic /​surgery room style.
The waxing itself was okay, I’ve had better for cheaper. Also, the 50% off applies only to locals. I find that type of «false advertising» a negative way to attract tourists.

LOVE Elizabet!!! She’s ben waxing my who-​ha for years now and I refuse to go elsewhere. So glad she’s closer to me now!!! She was still worth the drive in 5:00 traffic in the rain out in the parish.

Elizabeth did my first Brazilian ever. and let me just say: WHAT A RELIEF! She was quick and professional. She kept me comfortable the entire time even though I was very squirmy! I also let her take over my brows and she has created such a masterpiece I will not ever let someone else wax them… ever again. 5 stars for Wax Nola and Elizabeth Carr!

I’m in NOLA for business and am staying 2 blocks from this place. ELIZABETH WAS SO FAST! If you get regular waxes, I especially recommend seeing her. 10 minutes: everything gone. So great and so glad I found this place. Oh! And first visit is 50% off!
