Kimberly did a terrific job with my hair while I was in town for a convention. I needed some serious defrizzing due to the New Orleans humidity, and she took care of it beautifully. I would definitely return to her if I stay in the French Quarter again.

I have never been one for massages; I have never been able to relax so that defeats the point of them. It’s for this reason that when I say I had the best massage I have ever had in my life the benefits of which I am still reaping it is not hyperbole. I was in town for a bachelorette party and I was so stressed from work and other things that I could barely move my neck from the pain in my upper back. I looked up local salons that offered massages and by the pure grace of God – I really mean this – I found this salon and was placed in the hands of Spin. Spin is amazingly talented. She read my body very well and took out the knots in my back that were carrying the stress. After I left there, I knew what people meant when they said«I felt like a new person.» Though the stress continues, the pain has not since returned and it has been 3 months now. I wish I lived in NOLA for many reasons – such an awesome city – but Spin gave me another reason for this list. I hope to find someone as good as her in Baltimore.

I booked this salon because of it’s proximity to my hotel while I was in NOLA for my company convention March 2012. I scheduled up-do & make-up. The ladies are absolutely AWESOME! They made me feel comfortable and when I walked out I looked as good as I felt! Thanks ladies HollyWood

I went to Kinetix on a recommendation from a friend. I’ve lived in NOLA for nearly 4 years and hadn’t really had my hair done because I wasn’t sure how to find a stylist that knew how to cut curly hair. When I called for the first time, and explained what I was looking for, I was assigned to Candice. She is wonderful! She’s incredibly nice, is talented with all hair types, and does color very well. The atmosphere is great, and everyone is very attentive. When you arrive, you can choose from a variety of beverages at no extra fee. It feels like more than just a service provided, it feels like hospitality. I’ve yet to try out any of the spa services, but I will soon!

Nine of us went to get updos and makeup for Endymion Ball. We were greeted with a smile, mimosas, and friendliness!!! I was amazed that all of us were done within three hours! It’s a great location and very clean place!!! I did find we had to pay more for the makeup than we were quoted!!! Next time I will ask for an email quote! All the stylist were great except for one girl!!! She did not do a good job and two had to totally redo hair when we got home! She had a very bad attitude!!! I would return but make sure I don’t get the that stylist and get a quote in writing!!!

Love this place! Everyone is so professional and fun. Beautiful and warm décor when you walk in. Dottie is great for nails and toes… All the hair staff is great, but I’m so thrilled over my color by Prentiss that he’s stuck with me for life. He did exactly what I asked and it looks so natural and perfect. If you’ve jumped around town see him and you’ll be set for life. And the free drinks with the service are great too… $ 10 parking on Conti.

THEMOSTHORRIBLEEXPERIENCE I’VEEVERENDURED! THEOWNERMADEMECRY!!! I went into this salon with intentions on becoming a platinum blond. My hair is dirty blond. A dark blond. I did not want to bleach my hair because i didn’t want to cause severe damage. So, CANDICE decided on all over highlights and all over color. I told her that i didn’t want ANYREDORGOLDENTONES. Well, my hair was a brassy, dingy, dirty dishwater blond. I was embarrassed to go outside. I called the salon to make another appointment to get this horrific color out of my hair and all the owner could say was that if i processed my hair again, ITWOULDFALLOUT! I hung up on him, and cried. I called back and told him that i would take the chance on my hair falling out rather than have this horrible color. I had an appointment with Elise who added some all over color. My hair was brown. Darker than what I started with. But, it wasn’t orange. The color has faded and it is again orange. Shortly after my experiences, I have heard stories of other friends’ bad experiences including my friend asking for a wig because she received an embarrassing haircut.

My wife was attending a conference in New Orleans and I tagged along for a week out of town. I decided to treat myself to a nice massage while visiting. A Kinetix was actually my second choice after looking at several websites, but the first was between masseuses. And I am glad they were. Kinetix’s website doesn’t really do them justice. The spa is in what I guess was once a warehouse on the outskirts of the French Quarter. We were staying a block away on Canal Street so it was convenient for me to walk there. I arrived about 15 minutes before my appointment and was greeted by a very friendly lady who, after having me fill out a short form, showed me to the men’s lockers where I was given a robe, place to change and offered time in the steam room before my massage. There also were showers if I wanted. My masseuse, Jenn, came to get me right on time and took me to a very comfortable room. The music was very calming, and when she started the massage, she lowered the lights to create the perfect environment for relaxing. The massage was great, and my only complaint was that the sheet/blanket combo she covered me with made me a little hot. After the massage, Jenn offered me a mimosa, and I sat in the steam room for a bit longer, grabbed a shower and headed out. I would have stayed longer, but I had to meet my wife for lunch. The next time I am in New Orleans, I’ll scheduled three hours for my visit to Kinetix.

This spa was recommended to me by my trainer since I’ve been working out so much and just need a little bit of pampering. One very small drawback is that it’s deep in the French Quarter and parking could be hard to find, but if you’re willing to take the risk like me, park in one of those unsuspecting alleys. I was surprised that I was able to get an appointment on a Saturday, and so quickly…30 minutes after booking. I was greeted nicely by the receptionist but there was a wedding party getting dolled up for the big day. No biggy, but I did have to wait about 10 minutes for my masseuse to come get me and wasn’t offered a drink or anything while I waited. My masseuse was pleasant and accommodating. After getting settled an robed she brought me into a tranquil room for my massage. I usually get a Swedish massage but this time I decided on deep tissue and I’m so glad I did. She did an excellent job. After my service I opted for some more relaxation in the steam room. It was nice, but after a little while I felt like I was drowning. All over great experience.

last year while visiting new orleans(which i do frequently) i decided to have my first massage and pedicure. the pedicure was nice but not for me. i think it was probably great for people that really like it but i think it wasn’t what i was expecting. the massage though… had a hot stone massage by a guy whose name i don’t remember. he was brilliant. brilliant. soft, supple, strong hands. the work he did on my hands and feet was fantastic and he couldn’t have been nicer. well, he could have but that wasn’t the type of massage i wanted. everyone there was super nice, fun to talk to and seemed happy to have me there. treated a customer the way they should be treated. can’t recommend it enough.

Went here for an express pedicure with a wedding party. Now I realize that«express» means quick and without all the frills, but for $ 30 dollars, it should not also mean«shody.» You can still see the color from my old nail polish. The nails are so poorly shaped I’m tempted to just redo them. The nail polish is completely uneven, if on the nail at all. I’m looking at my feet and cringing. Plus, no lotion or even the slightest foot rub. Save yourself a lot of aggravation and money, buy the nail polish and do it yourself. I promise your service will be much better than what you’ll get here.

Ofadean did my hair and makeup for my wedding in January 2010. They did a great job and made me look beautiful! They seem to do A LOT of weddings, so they know how to get you in and out and how to make sure the do stays done! Granted, the updo was different than what we had agreed upon, but ultimately, I was still happy with it. It was a bit pricey to get them to come to my hotel, so two of my bridesmaid opted to do their own hair and two went to the salon. It would have been nice had they been willing to give us a group discount, but I’m not one for bargaining. They also did the two mothers… and were very accommodating on the day of the wedding to fit everyone in.

I love the smell of Aveda products… yum. Had the hot stone massage and it was super relaxing — I fell asleep. Pedicures were very lovely, but a bit over-priced in my opinion. Everyone was super friendly and gave us some tips on local events and such.

Sooo… my friends and I wanted to get some manicures so we made appointments at Riverside spa. We get onto Iberville and pass Bangkok«spa» as well as Aloha«spa»… Wth? Super shady. Happy endings? Probably. After receiving some horrible service, we quickly bailed on Riverside and found ourselves at Ofadean. A legit spa. Yesss. Manicures were done upstairs by Tien and Sylvonna. Both very friendly and gave us quick efficient manicures. Most of the stuff they use are Aveda products and nail polish is OPI. They offer other services as well and are pretty much booked during the busy seasons.

Michael. Michael.Michael. Ahhh… after walking all over New Orleans I was in urgent need of a great massage. I walked into Ofadean and was happy to get squeezed in that same afternoon. I get frequent massages and I have to say Michael gave me one of the BEST massages I’ve ever had. He is intuitive, with a strong, firm healing touch. And it was well priced at $ 85 for 50 minutes. I was staying at the W French Qtr which is literally around the corner and they were offering 15% off for W guests. I also noticed a coupon in the tourist maps that are handed out everywhere. I highly recommend Ofadean but especially Michael!

I visited this salon for the first time last week and got a fabulous hair cut from Val. I have thick wavy hair and I was tired of bouncing from stylist to stylist trying to find someone who could cut my hair so that I do not look like a middle aged suv mom but that I could also just wash and go. Val did it. The salon is in the French Quarter and has a small and beautiful courtyard, which was nice to look out to. Everyone was very friendly, especially Val. I told her of my hair woes, how I had been wearing it the last few years and just said do what you want. She didn’t do what I expected and I love it. She is also a massage therapist but I can’t vouch for that service, yet. I did take a peek upstairs at the spa area and it seemed peaceful and relaxing. There is a steam room, but no sauna. They use Aveda products and sell make up.
