Supriya did a wonderful job with my alterations but it cost much more than I thought it would. I assumed my alterations would only be around $ 200 (taken in a bit on top, cups added, & hemmed) and they ended up being almost triple that total. I was shocked. I certainly should have asked for a quote beforehand but in my wildest dreams I’d never thought it would be so expensive. That was way, way more than the average cost of $ 200.00… just ask ahead of time.

Supreeya is truly amazing! She made my wedding dress perfect in every way, AND she did it with short notice (we only had a 6 month engagement). She is so friendly and is willing to work with you. I could not have been more pleased with the results of my dress. She made my dream come true!

Vanda saved me! Bought a wedding dress that I thought was not salvageable — took it to her and she fixed! Price was way below what I thought, service was fast and I had a great dress for my wedding day. She was a doll to deal with — I hugged her when I left! Highly reccomend!

My dress was huge and completely beaded on top, so the alterations were extensive and necessitated a lot of experience. Supreya did a BEAUTIFUL job and the dress now fits like a glove. I highly highly recommend using her. I couldn’t be happier with the work she did.

Supreeya is the best! I moved from Pennsylvania to Louisiana during my engagement. I was unable to find anyone in New Orleans that would agree to alter my wedding dress since it was purchased outside of their stores. Supreya stepped in and saved the day! She transformed my large sample dress into the perfect dress for me. Her attention to detail is amazing. She is also an extremely kind person, who makes the whole process stress free. This is the most amazing lady!!! I arrived in New Orleans with a wedding dress destroyed by my previous seamstress. With my wedding 24 hours away, she saved the day. Not only was her work beautiful, but she was so conscientious about making sure it was done correctly. Rather than doing just was asked of her, she righted every wrong from the other seamstress. This allowed me to feel truly beautiful on my wedding day.

I loved the work that Supreeya did! I bought a wedding dress in Ohio and moved here not knowing where to go. Wedding Bells on Magazine recommended me to her. My dress was way too big and I needed major help. She was able to reconstruct the entire dress removing boning and putting it back in. Incredible! She was easy to contact and schedule appointments with, friendly, and always had the dress ready within my 6 week timeline. I would definitely go back here for any future alterations and recommend others to her!

I was turned down by two different seamstresses before finding Supreya. I needed my dress in about a month and everyone said it was too short notice. I had beadwork damage to my dress and needed to shorten a strap. Very minimal work, but still no one to do it! Supreya did an amazing job on my wedding gown. It looks flawless! She is a little pricey in comparison to others I’d found, but worth every penny. She is so sweet and kind. I honestly would have paid whatever she charged me. I will most probably never go to another seamstress again!

I got married in New Orleans in April of 2014. Although I had lived here for several years I bought my dress in Ohio when visiting my parents. I called many dress stores and tailors in the New Orleans area all of whom politely told me they couldn’t help or didn’t do wedding dresses. I found Vanda on Unilocal after reading a review describing a situation just like mine. I am so happy that I called her! I had a mermaid cut dress with all lace overlay and tons of layers underneath. It was too tight on my thighs to the point that I couldn’t go up and down stairs without difficulty. Supreeya altered this for me to perfection. The dress was comfortable and you couldn’t see a single stitch where she had to sew the lace. Supreeya also made nearly invisible loops to hold my belt in place and created a secure bustle for my very heavy train. When I came in for my final fitting a few days before the wedding the top was just slightly too big and would slip so you could see my bra in the back. Supreeya did very quick alterations just days before the wedding to secure the dress. When I picked it up with my mother a few days before the wedding, she showed my mom how to get me in the dress, tie the belt just right, and made suggestions for securing the dress on the day of the wedding. On the actual day, I was in the dress for over 12 hours and didn’t have to adjust it once, on top of which I felt absolutely gorgeous! Additionally, Supreeya is an absolute delight. She was genuinely excited to help me get my dress just right and was thrilled to look through my wedding pictures when I picked it up after she had cleaned and preserved it for me. She is worth the cost for her truly excellent work on any garments that need to be altered.

I moved to New Orleans a year ago. I was engaged, and bought my dress actually in Ohio. I was not going to fly back and forth to get my dress altered because that is crazy expensive to do. NO ONE here would help me or call me back to fix my dress because I didn’t get it at a their bridal store. I found Supreeya (the owner of Vanda) on
. I couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful job. She does impeccable work. She was expensive, but it was well worth it because the dress fit me like a glove and I just felt amazing. I never worried about it slipping down or anything. Because of her work, I never once felt uncomfortable. If you need alterations on a wedding dress, do yourself a favor and trust her.
