Must go!!! Everything we had was amazing! Best garlic bread I’ve ever had, delicious oysters, delicious gumbo, delicious burgers, delicious dessert. I can’t say«delicious» enough! Great atmosphere, very cool place to go!

Ate here last year while in town for a Convention– loved it so much decided to stay in adjoining hotel 2016 for same convention. Ending up tired most evenings– my biz partner and I ate here 4 nights out of 5 and Loved every Meal so much! Can’t recommend this place enough! Kathleen(Kat) provided us with amazing service — felt like she was a friend– just a Great energy and great service! She recommended coffees and wines we might not otherwise have tried– all wonderful! Jeremy also went out of his way to remember our names– and always brought a smile :) We obviously had the opportunity to try many things on the menu: Loved the Oysters, soups were delicious!, grits, catfish, Scallops! With vegetables Amazing!, lamp chops(thumbs up!) and spare ribs were scrumptious! oh! And the Desserts: Bread banana Pudding as well as Chocolate Mousse– yummy! Don’t miss this New Orleans gem!

You guys. This place is awesome. It’s casual and cool and decorated with an ocean theme. Hello, perfection. I had the blue crab bisque to start. This is seriously one of the best crab bisques I’ve ever had. It was thick and delicious-full of crabmeat. All too often I’ll order crab bisque and get some watered down, barely any crab in it version that I have to doctor up with salt, pepper, Tony’s and Tabasco. Not here. It was so good I was scraping the bowl and had to stop myself from licking it. No kidding. For my main dish I ordered the crawfish pie. Another great choice. The crust was flaky and mouthwateringly delicious. It was spicy and full of crawfish. I’m not easy to please when it comes to crawfish but this dish had my Cajun self whimpering. Service was awesome and it wasn’t too expensive. I’d go again in a heartbeat.

Stinky’s stew was the best way to top off our trip to New Orleans. Flavorful and packed with seafood. We also had the crab cake lunch salad and it was huge and delicious!

Atmosphere 5⁄5 Service 4.5÷5 Food 4.5÷5 We initially had reservations at another restaurant, but felt that their menu was too limited for our party of 9. Since we came here before for my bachelorette party back in March, my sister suggested that we try to call in for availability and I’m so glad we did! The hostess on the phone was super helpful with making accommodations just a few hours before the requested time. In fact, when we showed up, we were surprised to get the private room in the back which is really neat because it has a small TV in the corner(was good for catching some of the football playoff game) and was in a large square. This was the only meal we had in New Orleans where everyone could talk to each other and we loved that! Our waiter was okay, sometimes would disappear for longer periods of time but it wasn’t a big deal. He happily got my brother the TV remote to turn on the game and extra plates and bowls for sharing(as requested). We basically made tasting plates out of everyone’s food so here goes nothing: Blue crab bisque — comes in a HUGE portion and with bread. My nephew devoured the thing and he’s only 12. Seems a bit fancy for the boy so hopefully he doesn’t make it a habit ;P He let me have a sip and it was well flavored and creamy. Smoked Alligator Tamales — My brother-in-law raved about this. Not knowing it was alligator(they just passed it down the table), I thought they did a regular tamale justice! Ignorance is bliss, eh? Stinky’s Stew — Second visit to try this! Consistently delicious and full of different seafood. Lucky for me, my mom gave me the crab legs. Enough to share between two people. Eight Cut Rib Eye(24oz). — Yes, 24 oz! Crispy on the outside and a little more well-done that desired by my husband and father-in-law, but they still liked it a lot. I had several bites and yep — it was good! Medium rare is probably the perfect cook for this(they requested medium). Crab dip — I can’t find the official name for this but it came with TONS of mushrooms. I love mushrooms but felt that it had too much of it and just a topping of crab. Good; although I wish I ordered something else. No one shared their dessert with me… My husband and I wanted the Pumpkin Crème Brulee and was told by our waiter that they’re transitioning out of that and into the Donuts(he called them beignets). We were excited to have beignets one more time on our trip and were really disappointed by their version of beignets. It tasted more like powdered sugar sopapillas.

First restaurant choice of 2016, and WHAT A CHOICE it was! It might just leave me in disappointment with all other restaurants I will try this year… Ate here on a Wednesday night, 1÷6÷16. Each dish was SUPERB! I ate so much, was nauseated from gluttony, but somehow was still drooling when paying the check and in my dreams that night. What we ordered: 1. Three Soup Tasting(Gumbo, crab bisque and pumpkin or butternut squash soup? Im not exactly sure which one but it was my favorite of the 3) — These came in cup sizes and were perfect to get our taste buds going. However, the gumbo was just okay. 2. Raw oysters topped with ceviche(Quantity of 6) — The combination was very delicious, refreshing and filling! The ceviche is a mixture of fish, shrimp, and seafood on top hugeeee oysters(well, my batch was huge and delicious). I threw some of the cocktail sauce on top and my oh my… 3. Crawfish Hot Tamale — If you’re a fan of Tamales, you may just love this dish. My boyfriend ate both the tamales that came out. I had just a bite. He said it was«fiya!» 4. Escargot«Trebeache»(sautéed escargot with button mushroom and charred tomato, wine, lemon, garlic and butter; browned French bread) — I am a bread lover. I asked for more bread. This was MYFAVORITE appetizer here. OMGSOGOOD! I think the best escargot I had in the city yet. The sauce was just so flavorful, crisp, refreshing, and delicious. I could drink the sauce. 5. Pan Seared Frog Legs(garlic, mushroom, parsley, lemon, wine, butter, pomme frites). This dish is as beautiful as it is tasty. The pomme frites were just so delicious! thinly shredded potato which is deepfried. Its a perfect pairing to this dish because as you take a bite, the frites hit the sauce and just melt in your mouth, but is still crunchy. How is this possible? The combination is just so good. 6. Louisiana Crawfish Pie — **********OUTSTANDING! Probably my favorite crawfish pie ever, or favorite dish in general, in quite a while. The bowl is steaming hot, Im guessing from coming out of the oven freshly baked. They plate the bowl containing the crawfish pie on top of a serving of cheese grits, so that the hot pie bowl doesn’t move around. The grits are amazing as well!!! THISIS A MUST!!! I want to go back to try other dishes and also to get this dish again! I know this review may seem over the top, but it really was THAT good. We made reservations for a Wednesday night, but it wasn’t needed. There were several tables open. We were seated promptly, had a WONDERFUL and attentive server(I believe her name was Jade? or Jane?). We arrived at 7:30 and there was live music playing(man+guitar). Very nice place. Will definitely be coming here again. Foodies, GO! You’ll have a great time.

Great place to pop in to grab a drink. Hit this place up twice last night, once on my way out and once before heading back to my room… at the Hilton across the street. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Prices are reasonable(especially for happy hour!) Great place!

After being turned away from brunch at Luke, which we were told was completely booked, we stumbled across the street here to find that the restaurant was barely a third full for brunch, quite strange because the brunch menu and regular lunch menu looked great! Not to mention, the service was spectacular. Our waiter was very attentive without being bothersome. I had the Benny! Benny! Benny! — essentially a sampler for eggs benedicts. This is a HUGE portion so definitely only order if you have the appetite. My favorite Benny was definitely the one with the ham. If I could order again, I would just get the regular ham Benedict rather than this sampler.

Excellent food, great service, good atmosphere! It’s pretty hard to stand out with great food in Nola because there’s great food everywhere, but this place is fantastic. Was planning to go to Luke’s but they claimed a 4 hour wait so we walked across the street to an amazing meal. I’d rarely choose to eat in a ‘hotel restaurant’ but this place is amazing. Highly recommend!

I’ve eaten here several times. It’s another hotel restaurant. I really don’t see what’s so special about it. The presentation is great. But for me, it boils down to how good the food is. I ordered the crawfish pie and short run. It’s good, $ 18/$ 28 good. I’ll come here for the $.75 oysters and $ 3 beer. Luke’s across the street is $.50, but those bastards are very stuck up.

For happy hour: $ 3/$ 4 beers $ 0.75 raw oysters. So good. I’m told we broke the record with 16 dozen. I highly recommend the gratin and Rockefeller.

The menu consists of meals separated into first to fourth course. I got the Stinky’s stew(a 3rd course) and it was super buttery at first, but after a couple sips it was delicious and I recommend it! The crab leg was hard to eat and didn’t have much meat. Waitress was friendly and good with refills. Food came out timely. Overall, for the expensive price, it was a solid 4 stars.

3.5 stars for being too salty. Otherwise I’d give it 5 stars. Got the three soup and the seafood stew. Both super delicious except for the salt. Very elegant ambiance. Super sweet service.

The food here was very very very very impressive. Craig was my bar dude and he was really good at being in the right place when I needed him. Really good dude! Thanks The stinky stew and crawfish pot pie stole the #motherfucking show for real… If you eat these items and don’t immediately think they are 5 star then you should probably stay home with your Dinty Moore stew and Doritos. Fresh oysters and oysters Rockefeller opened for the band and these were delivered fast and fresh. Good look guys with this great restaurant. The age of Trenasse has begun people!

Was craving scallops around 2:30 in the afternoon and didn’t want to wait till 5 to track them down for dinner service somewhere. Thankfully Trenasse had them as a special written on the chalkboard on St. Charles Ave. Absolutely outstanding. Deliciously seared with grilled veggies,(bell peppers, mushrooms, carrots, onions) and roasted potatoes that were perfectly crispy. Had to add some Crystal Hot Sauce to the potatoes because that’s just how I roll. I started with a glass of Rose while I waited and then switched to the Ferrari-Corrano Fume Blanc with my meal. Green Chartreuse neat for an after dinner drink. This meal was everything I needed. The bartender Craig was excellent, attentive without being invasive; and the GM Andrew was also a gem. I highly recommend eating here for the seafood and hospitality.

Absolutely awful. I have actually been wanting to come here. I came here yesterday afternoon with a vendor to grab a glass of wine. It took 15 minutes to get 2 drinks… without a full bar. Staff is lazy! The staff is awful and should ALL be fired! The staff members talked to themselves at the bar. The guy next to me whistled to get attention 4 times. Will never go back. They will never make it!

I am quite impressed with Trenasse. I had dinner here with my team and we were able to try a few different small plates before settling on main dishes for each person. The frog legs were good, as was the BBQ shrimp. I think we may have had a third item but I can’t remember anymore. For my main dish, I had the fish of the day, which was cobia. This was my first time having cobia and I fell in love. It was served with a hash of some type with corn(and maybe bacon?) and it was very good as well. I’m not dying to go back right away, but I’ll definitely think of Trenasse the next time I want seafood.

We hosted a Birthday Brunch for 3 ladies here and had an absolutely delightful time ! Everything we were served was well executed and full of flavor. Lots of wonderful and affordable options on the Brunch Menu & portions were good. The bottomless Mimosa’s they offer during Brunch, were just perfect for 12 women coming together to celebrate. I worked with Stan to plan everything in advance, and he put us in a semi-private area which worked perfectly for our group. We had 2 ladies to assist us that day, I wish I could recall their names. Their service & attention was great ! They allowed us to bring in 3 small outside cakes for the Birthday ladies, with no cutting fee charged and even cut and served it to us ! The place has lovely décor and I have already recommended this place to 3 people heading to New Orleans soon.

THEBESTLUNCH I’VEHADINOVER A YEAR and it was their $ 20, 3-course Coolinary. After a month of disappointing meals at some of our«all-the-rage» trendy new restaurants(«Cane & Table», «Johnny Sanchez», «Rebellion», etc.), I wasn’t prepared to like this café in a hotel. However, the handsome yet unpretentious Trenasse impressed me course after course. JUSTLOOKATMYPHOTOS! The House Salad: locally farm-sourced, today it included field peas, sautéed parsnips and cucumbers. I was wisely directed to pair it with their corn cilantro«bisque-ish» creamy dressing. I wanted another, but then came… The Crawfish Pie:(Wednesday’s Special) is hand’s down the best I’ve ever had. It’s a cocotte with pie crust as delicate as my mother’s. A thick spicy filling of heavy cream and cheese bouys its huge chunks of berled bugs.** The Crème Brûlée: is a long slab of carmelized sugar adhering atop a thin layer of custard cream. Why is it served so oddly? More surface area for that crunchy crust baby! **Not only does Trenasse smoke it’s own meats on their Perdido banquette, they even catch a lot of their own fish!

All good at this upscale casual fresh seafood joint. Lunch time, good crowd but no waiting. Service is prompt and atmosphere is comfortable. We all ordered fish and each was expertly grilled and plated. Nice size portions of very fresh fillets. The had a choice of four. Each in our group of five enjoyed their dish. Finished with espresso and out the door. Prices are reasonable, food is good, fish is fresh, atmosphere is nice. What more could you ask for?
