This is a kiosk in Canal Place. Selections are limited as they are not in a regular store. And there is now a Sunglass Hut in the new Riverwalk Mall. All that is so very true. However if in perusing the kiosk you find those perfect make you look younger fancy dancy sunglasses this is not a bad place to shop. The lady working the business was so nice and caring she made you feel appreciated. Do remember this is a place to get your RayBan fix and really spur the economy with spending disposable income. Today I did get a nice case with the purchase. Hopefully that is now the rule and not the exception

This Sunglass Hut location isn’t actually a store, it is a small kiosk in the middle of the Shops at Canal Place. In general, I like Sunglass Hut. I wouldn’t go anywhere else to purchase sunglasses. I visited this location a couple of weeks ago to get the boy sunglasses for his birthday and this is what is on my mind: The Experience – I purchased a pair of sunglasses. – There is no inventory at this location, so whatever is in the display case is what you get. I wasn’t too happy about spending nearly $ 200 on sunglasses that had been repeatedly handled and tried on by person after person. Maybe I expect too much, but I don’t think so. – Only certain sunglasses come with cases. I realize that Sunglass Hut isn’t necessarily to blame for this, but, again, when I am spending a couple hundred dollars on a delicate item, I would like it to be secured in a little more than a cloth baggie. – There aren’t any boxes available. No case for the sunglasses(unless purchased separately for $ 25) and no box. As I have already mentioned, for the cost of a good pair of sunglasses, I think more than a cloth baggie and a shopping bag are warranted. The Advice –There is a full Sunglass Hut store just a few minutes walk away in Jackson Brewery(the storefront faces Decatur Street). Don’t waste your time at this kiosk. If you are looking to purchase sunglasses, head over to the Sunglass Hut in Jackson Brewery. That should raise the experience from 3 stars to 4 stars. Maybe even 5 stars, if you’re not overly concerned with baggies and boxes like me.
