On my quest to find«THE» new place for pedicures, I stopped here today. I had driven by several times, and hardly any cars were in the lot. It was a quick job. I’m not sure if the gal doing the pedicure was quiet or what, as I could hardly hear her when she spoke to me. Or I could be going deaf in my old age… Any way, the pedicure was done a bit too quickly, and well. They did have pictures up of group parties held here, and there were three chairs that were obviously specific to children. The place was fairly clean, but could be cleaner…

Terrible experience! My 10 year old daughter and I went in for pedi/mani’s… My chair was filthy(and I thought the foot bowl looked dirty too). The manicurists rushed on both our pedicures and my daughter’s manicure was done so quickly without any thought to filing or cuticle removal… Not to mention the fact that the manicurist’s 3 year old(?) daughter stood right next to my daughters chair the entire time trying to touch her nails as they were being quickly polished… the child was disruptive as she not only practically sat with my daughter during her pedicure but she placed her portable DVD player on my daughters chair and turned it on and off repeatedly… It was not relaxing! It was irritating and all three manicurists working kept saying how cute she was being… this was the worst experience! Unprofessional, unclean and not relaxing at all… Then as I was paying, I was asked to leave a monetary tip! Do not recommend… The only convenience is the location and proximity to my home. Would rather drive into Metairie… Hope the health department makes a visit as we can’t do anything about the unprofessionalism but the cleanliness is definitely in question!

Stopped in here on a visit. Didn’t have time to get to my regular local place, so went here. Place is clean and stocked nicely. Variety of colors for regular polish and Gel. I got a pedicure and gel polish. Pedicure/manicure was standard. Very basic. I wigs my cuticles were clipped a little more and the exfoliate of my feet was more. The did have a very nice sugar scrub for my legs that was awesome. Gel was applied not so great. Upon leaving I noticed that a few of my nails had areas that weren’t covered totally. Price was okay. For $ 30 for a pedicure, I expected a little more attention to the feet. Gel was standard price but I wigs my manicure was a little more detailed. I would have opted for just the polish change for that.

Just went earlier today to get polish on my toes. Picked a color and the lady doing my polish didn’t tell me until after the first coat was on that the polish I picked was $ 5 extra. There was no sign stating this and I was a bit peeved that she didn’t tell me till halfway through that it was extra. I ended up paying $ 15 just to get color on my toes– not even a color change and the pedicure was $ 30. Should’ve just went with that. Awful.

Cheapest nail place in Lakeview, but the extra 5 – 10 bucks to go to another place around here is SO worth it. I’ve been a few times, each time leaving annoyed that I spent what I did on awful service and half ass mani pedi. Also, I’m pretty sure they are not using very clean«scrubbing blocks,» if that’s even what you would call them as they hardly do anything. I went back with the hope of a different experience, but after my last I will absolutely never go back. They don’t hardly scrub your feet, nor do they massage your legs or feet or hands, and for $ 40, you expect at least a little of that. I had to paint over my manicure because the woman left about a quarter of each nail unpainted. She saw me doing this, and did not offer to assist. My experience was disappointing at best.

Pros: free wi-fi, prompt service if you visit at the right time. Cons: I had to remove my own polish(why am I paying you??), below-average customer service

I had one of the worst experience I’ve ever had at a nail place. They didnt file my gels before soaking even after I asked her about it she insisted it was ok. Sure enough, the gel wouldnt come off even after soaking longer. So she then peeled the gel off(huge NO-NO) and used the cuticle pusher to scrape and scrape at my nails. My skin was cut several times and my nails damaged. I should have ran at that point. A few swipes of the file and she was done with the manicure«GOWASH!». Uhhh what? Can you shape my nails please? She was clearly agravated every time I questioned her and she began talking in her native language(as they talk shit about you). Then came the gel and I knew I was doomed. A few thick slathers and she was done. You can clearly see where the top coat was applied in some areas and where the color was sloppily over my skin. I said something to the other lady before paying who saw I was unhappy. She ended up applying another top coat but there was no saving these nails. $ 55 later, I had the worst manicure ever.

So… I have been visiting this place ever since I move to Lakeview a few months ago. I liked the place until my lat visit. They rushed my gel manicure and they did not even take out the dry skin around my fingernails. Needless to say, my gel polish usually lasts me two whole weeks and today it started to peel off. Only THREEDAYSLATER!!! On top of that the lady that did my fingernails was very rude and overall felt like I was being rushed out of the place! My toes look descent buy the massage was very quick and rushed as well. I am NEVER going back to this place. If you need somewhere else to go there are other places around Lakeview.

I can’t believe that I haven’t written a review for this joint! I’ve been here twice before and since I live in Mid-City this location is pretty close to my home. Plus, they have a frequent buyer card so with each visit you get a stamp and after the tenth one you get a free manicure! Score! Well, I hate to admit this but I was one of «those» people that you hate when they come in 15 minutes before you close. I had called ahead to see what time they close and asked if they could squeeze me in and they said they could. So I whisked in, picked my polish in record time and had a lovely pedicure! Nancy was super nice, engaging, friendly and got the job done. This is a nice salon with a huge flat screen tv, tons of stations for manis and pedis, and even chairs for little kids to have pedis(so cute!). They even have pictures showing how they hold private events. Hey are cute pictures of kids having manis and pedis done! Plus they have a huge selection of nail polish(I like the good stuff like Essie and OPI). They also have a restroom in the back. The pedicure was relaxing with the awesome massage chair, the massage of the legs, scrub, pumice stone, hot towel and the normal pedi(filing, pushing back and cuticles). Just remember for credit cards they only take Visa and MasterCard and you can add the tip before they ring it up. Happy pampering!

So the first time I went the place was ok. Clean, efficient, good service. I thought it would be my new nail place. Until this LAST visit. All was well until a few other clients walked in. Then I was rushed though the enjoyable parts… And I wanted my nails buffed. Which I have done by hand at any salon I have ever visited. The girl told me something I could barely understand about only being able to use the machine buffer. Which is not made for real nails and BURNS. She wouldn’t buff them by hand and had me wash off the buffing cream. So now I have these awful dull, scratched nails… And that was it. No offer to fix the problem. Manicure over! So I quietly told her I was disappointed in the service this time around, to which she charged me full price and said OK… What?!? Awful customer service, IMO.

I am on the look out for a quick place to get a mani-pedi. These guys were quick. Almost too quick. Now, when I go into a place like this I do not expect hours of being pampered. I know it is not a spa. However, the girl who was helping me was quite rough. I mean, she drew a little bit of blood. The final results look nice, but upon closer inspection one can see how rushed her work was. The place also did not seem especially clean. I had to brush someone else’s cuticles off my seat before I sat down. Not sure if I will go back here.
