Returned for a unique birthday present for my new wife. This place makes it easy to find something that is both very different and very New Orleans at the same time. Once again the help in making the proper selection is always professional and patient with you.

I used to live in Louisiana and when I was back visiting I stumbled upon this store. Certain pieces can be pricey, but the quality is high. I bought a pendant and it is very heavy so that is a lot of sliver in a small piece. The people are very friendly and willing to answer any questions. I plan to make this a regular stop during my visits back home.

If there’s someone in your life who adores silver, this is a great place to pick up something special. Many of the items are NOLA-​centric, and there are local artists featured. I was a little irritated that there are signs everywhere stating chains are sold separately, but what can you do?
The service was friendly and patient, the space open and fill of unique selections. All in all, a great addition to Magazine!

I came here to get a Christmas gift for my sister. She doesn’t have much jewelry so I thought this would be a good place to come. They have a huge selection to pick from. Whether you want necklaces, bracelets, earrings, or charms, you will be sure to find something. They also have tons of New Orleans inspired jewelry, which I like considering that I am from here and am absolutely in love with this city. But even if you are a tourist, this is a great place to come to get a souvenir that is different than the more tourist-​y souvenirs.
I also have to speak of the EXCELLANT customer service. Cristy’s mom was working at the time, and I told her my price range, who the gift was for, and the age of my sister. She pointed me to the perfect gift right away.
The prices are reasonable considering the original designs and quality of jewelry. I will definitely come back here again.

I live in New Orleans and was traveling back to see family and friends in California. I wanted to bring a meaningful gift that represented New Orleans for two close friends that have been helping my eldest daughter through her treatments for cancer while I cannot be there. In speaking with Cristy (who took the time to really understand the meaning I was trying to convey in the gifts) she pointed me to the absolutely PERFECT gifts. I ended up not purchasing anything that represented New Orleans, but that reflected the love and friendship of friends. Not only were they the perfect gifts, but she gave me the sale price that was coming up in a few days that I would miss because I would have already left on my trip. I will continue to make this a «first stop shop» when looking for gifts because not only do they have great souvenir items and something for everyone, they make sure to take the time to make sure you have an enjoyable shopping experience!

I checked out Sterling Silvia just before Christmas while I was in a frenzy of last minute shopping. While I didn’t find any last minute gifts, I did find a gift for me!
Seriously, this shop does have something for just about everyone from skulls to fleurs. In addition to jewelry there are some housewares and miscellaneous stuff.
Lots and lots of local items that were super cute.

If you are looking to buy someone a gift that’s a souvenir of New Orleans, and wish to get something a bit more special than a mask, beads or alligator head (hey, I’m not knocking those items either), check out Sterling Silvia. I visited this recently opened shop (their FQ location has been open 30 years, as I was told by the owner) the other day and was blown away by the lovely designs engraved into the rings, bracelets and pendants. I’ll let you in on a secret, if you don’t already know, these are designed by none other than Cristy A!
I had a really enjoyable shopping experience here. I felt like I could talk with Cristy’s mom, who was working that day, for hours about the inspiration for the designs and the stories behind some of the other nifty gift items in the store (ornaments, housewares and accessories) I wasn’t there just for talking, though. I also purchased a gift for my mom. It’s a key pendant with a fleur de lis and St. Louis Cathedral on it on a fine silver chain. The collection ranges from larger statement pieces– medallions and bracelet cuffs to more delicate, like what I got my mom.
I daresay anyone would appreciate gifts with New Orleans flavor and flair and Sterling Silvia is yet another locally owned store that makes holiday shopping so easy for us!
