Let me preface this review by saying that I love paper! It was the end of our trip, and I was in desperate need to buy something. Immediately, I knew that this was my type of paper store: Crane’s, Kate Spade, Snow & Graham were all here. It was a fantastic selection but I was looking for something made by a local stationer. The manager pointed me to one designer, that focused in sparkles and pastels. Um, no thank you. She then found some beautiful black and white note cards of drawing of local spots in the city. They were a great gift and I was happy to find the perfect momento for my trip!

Terrible customer service! My husband and I frequent stationery stores on trips and the moment we entered Stationer, we knew we were not welcome. Despite being the only people in the store, we were treated poorly and made to feel uncomfortable from the start. The unpleasant woman managing the store acted as though we were going to shoplift. She was watching our every move throughout our visit. We asked if we could mix and match colors of their separate cardstock and was told we could at three different times as she was hovering over us. When we settled on colors and brought our large purchase up to pay, she said we had to stay with one color! She saw us picking out colors for upwards of 15 minutes and didn’t say anything the entire time. We ended up walking out and heading to the wonderful Scriptura stationery store up Magazine Street. There, we had more selection and a much more comfortable experience. Stationer should not be in the business with such horrible customer service. Trust me, don’t waste your time!

Cute shop. Fun gifts. And they are very helpful in ordering custom stationery. I am still using my informal crane note cards.
