I hate to say it but this place is closed. Kinda sad I actually liked their PoBoy sandwiches. They opened up a different place in its stead called Poppa’s Poor Boys.

A fine sandwich. I would venture to say it’s the best oyster sandwich I’ve had since I landed in New Orleans a month ago. I’ve been to Domilise’s, Mahony’s, and Parkway. This is my favorite so far. Their oysters were perfectly fried, not too crispy, not to soft. Great. They also pile it on a great bread, not a traditional roll, but it complements the sandwich really well. I ordered my oyster sandwich with gravy and Sriracha. When the cook brought it out, he said he hoped I wouldn’t have stomach problems. I laughed, and I didn’t. I recommend. The cook actually came out and talked to me about the sandwich I ordered and we got to talking about frying seafood. The guys who run this joint seem legit. Great prices for what you get too. I will be back!

12″ loaded oyster po-boy for $ 12! Good bread that’s a mix bw vietnamese french bread and leidenheimer bread. Good onion rings. Wouldn’t recommend fries, nothing special. Apparently they have salads too, just call and ask if they have them. Less than 5 minutes from ochsner.
