Went for pizza here a day ago. Ordered a couple of large pizzas. They are truly large. Some in our group really liked the meat lovers and others like the pepperoni. I really thought it was fairly average pizza. The service was good and the prices were a little on the higher side. I may return for a true slice one day. This review is more like a 3.5 than 3 stars.

Awesome service. Polite staff. A fun atmosphere. We had the Margarita pizza and it was delicious. Cheese is great quality. Had a drink while I waited for my pickup order and pour was perfect!

So great we went here twice in one day. The food was tops and so was the service. Always look for specials. This is definitely the perfect place to go when visiting New Orleans to keep the flavor going without a huge meal.

Great pizza. The service has declined dramatically in the last few months. If Richard isn’t bartending, don’t bother ordering anything more complex than a beer, forget about it. He’s the only one who can make a drink that’s on their menu. If Anna is your server, prepare for a wait and know that you’ll have to repeat your order 5 – 6 times, or you won’t get ½ of it. But it’s great pizza, just next time for takeout.

We went to Slice after a long drive from South Carolina. The craft beer selection was very nice. We sat at the bar because the back smelled of cleaner. The bar was a great choice because we met Richard the bar tender. He did not lead us astray. Not only did he guide us to great food, he gave us some local advise on places to go while we are here. We got the BBQ shrimp appetizer, which was fab! The three of us ordered 3 different slices of pizzas. Muffuletta, the HAPP,& the D-Luxe. All pizzas were excellent! We will be going back here.

Sat at the bar and was served right away. The staff seems like they get along well and they treat their patrons well also.

Go home, Slice. you’re drunk. Last night was the absolute last time I will ever go to the Slice location on St. Charles. The manager or bartender or professional butthead that waited on us last night was so terribly rude, I really never want to go back to this place. I understand that people have bad days and aren’t always on their game. This guy, was a Class A prick that was making both the patrons and the staff uncomfortable. He was barking orders, both ignoring and nagging people at the same time(he has a gift) and just ruined what was supposed to be a quick bite out before a movie. We ordered a calzone for two of us to split and two waters. Maybe he was pissed that we were only going to be spending $ 10 and weren’t worth his time or something, I really don’t know. I asked for some blue cheese for the calzone. He loudly declared that he was going to have to charge me for it. I was cool with that. He brought out a tiny thing of blue cheese and when I tasted it I asked if it had a balsamic base. «YES. IT’S A SALADDRESSING». Ok, guy. I told him I didn’t want it and he sort of slammed it down in front of one of the line cooks. It’s an open kitchen, so we saw the whole interaction and it was just… weird. So, again. Dear guy. Thanks for ruining a perfectly good cheese and carb situation. Go do some yoga and chill the F out.

This is a very good pizza place but they can be very very slow. Service is very friendly but I ordered take out. They told me 30 min. After 30 min, I had to wait for another 45 minutes! Needless to say, I’m thinking twice before ordering from here again.

Came in for a drink Saturday afternoon. Will and Jess were great. They were very friendly and accommodating. If I had to describe them with adjectives, it would be awesome, incredible, sweet, adorable, I can go on and on. Definitely will come back for a few rounds.

Decent pizza, lots of great topping combos. You can get it by the slice which is nice especially when grabbing a quick bite between Mardis gras krewes.

It was a rainy day in NOLA and a good pizza and drink sounded really good. We were not disapointed. WOW. We loved the pizza. We had a full pie, half fresh and half P.G.A. The crust was nice and crispy and the toppings very nice. Staff is superb. Very happy and nice to talk to. It was national margarita day, so we had to have one, two, three… well at least we are walking. We would highly recommend this place to anyone who loves great pizza.

Great Food. Great Waitress. I have no complaints… .wait. I did mind seeing her carry around the ice cream bucket. I felt she(the waitress could’ve been more inconspicuous with that.

Ordered two large pizzas on a Friday night. Came in a timely manner and delivery guy was nice. A little costly at $ 23/pizza. The pizzas were pretty huge which was nice. The mushroom pizza was so-so, the sauce was pretty acidic. We also got the Sicily-Ana pizza… What a disaster! It looked like pizza crust, sauce, and arugula. Under the arugula was bits of olive, not sure if they forgot to include the eggplant. The sauce was so acidic as to be inedible, but I guess that’s the«spicy» marinara. The thing that rendered it nearly inedible was a complete lack of cheese! Was our pizza just not completed? Cheese wasn’t listed in the ingredients for most pizzas on the menu, but neither is crust. Maybe it’s a traditional Sicilian style and I should have known? Anyways, pizza was a flop and we were out $ 50. I would try a slice of something before throwing in for a full delivery order.
My boyfriend and I went there to share a pizza last week, we took a 4 cheese pizza and it ws really really good. The pizza itself was huge(so you can easily share one pizza between 3 people). The waitress was really nice and hepful. Oh, and they have a couple of deserts if ou still have some room left(the brookie was really good as well !) Definitely a good place !

My wife and I walked a mile from our hotel to try this place out. She order lasagna and I ordered a cup of Cajun sausage gumbo with a Cajun sausage and goat cheese pizza. We loved the food if we were from New Orleans we would likely be return customers.

This is my favorite local pizza chain. Hands down. Their pizzas aren’t too crunchy too soft. Not too cheesy or leaving you wanting more. They have excellent combinations and specialities, and the ingredients taste noticeably fresh. They sell huge slices for a great price. Staff is always very friendly!

When we arrived at our bed and breakfast just around the corner, we were given suggestions for dinner and Slice Pizzeria was at the top of the list. You would think that I would have gotten pizza since it was a pizzeria but you would be wrong! I was given a tip that this place had the best BBQ Shrimp Po Boy in NOLA… and damn if that tip wasn’t 100% true! Its small, comfy and the cooks crank up the radio while they work and reference old songs by yelling stuff like«man this song brings back memories» or «oh man that’s my shit right there!» The food is awesome with a kick ass staff to back it up. Visit and Support! And grab a BBQ Shrimp PO Boy… trust me. –Tom

Definitely go for the slices — their whole pies are delicious, but the crust on the slices is perfectly crispy. They’re our go-to place for«I just can’t be bothered to cook dinner tonight».

I love this place because the concept is just so simple. As a single woman, I don’t want to order a full pizza and be stuck taking the rest home. When eating out with friends or on a date, its not always easy to all agree on the same pizza toppings. I don’t know why other pizza places don’t offer the pizza by the slice option. I don’t really count Sbarro as a comparison because that’s truly fast food and in this area, we don’t have any Sbarros that aren’t in mall food courts and I prefer the ambience of a full service restaurant like Slice. The prices are quite reasonable and theres a good variety of selection of pizzas as well as wines and cocktails. It’s a great place to meet some friends for a quick bite and a great after work place.

I ordered the Margherita from Slice on a Sunday afternoon. The delivery time was great, it only took about 30 minutes which I was shocked about. The price I felt was a little high but I’m not complaining because it seems like what most pizzerias are getting to now. I could tell that the pizza was hot before I even opened the box, which is always a plus. The issue came when I opened the box to dive in. The cheese had all melted back together so the slices were very hard to pull apart, ended up having to recut them. Then the pizza was just very flimsy. You could not pick up a slice and just eat it at all. The crust was very thin and soaked all the way through. The flavor was good but overall I wasn’t very satisfied with the pizza, may try again eating in their restaurant.

Slices after a late night in the warehouse district– I was sooo excited to see this place and my food. I especially like that you can order all of their specialty pizzas by the slice. Even finished off my meal with a chocolate cookie– because ya’know sometimes you need a cookie. Best.Cookie.Ever!

WOW! This meal was awesome. Our waitress, Jessika, was friendly, helpful, i ordered the calzone, which was delightfully made with a white sauce and delicious toppings I chose. it came with steaming-hot(homemade) dipping sauce. My partner had a meat lovers pizza, which(due to the nature of the toppings) was a little salty but tasty but a little soggy-a result of the toppings and sauce. I loved every minute of my experience and look forward to my next visit.

Had this location bookmarked and figured since had the kids with me in NOLA we’d give it a try… kids love pizza… Found it easy on St. Charles, parking was a breeze, found street parking right in front of St. Charles Tavern… when we walked in about 6ish on a Saturday just a couple of people at the bar but we were the only diners. Lotta pizza for the price… me and the boy split a medium Meat Lovers and it was plenty for a 16 year old boy with me, the Dad, not having to worry if he was gonna plow through the whole thing… the baby girl wanted to try white pizza and I was happy that any pizza was offered by the slice… she went with a white slice with bacon and fresh basil and really loved it… However, in my humble opinion, the kids really loved the Garlic Bread with Red Gravy appetizer… I was lucky to get one piece of that garlic bread! Our waitress, didn’t get her name but she has 26-shooters tattooed on her upper chest, was excellent, friendly and timely… plus the Leinenkugel Summer Shandy they were offering on tap hit the spot! All in all one helluva enjoyable stop and meal and brought it in for a damn reasonable price!

I frequent here quite often… possibly two to three times a month. And I love it. The staff is über friendly and welcoming… and the location is great. The front of the restaurant is kinda setup like a «shotgun» New Orleans style house, but the back has more seating for larger groups. Whether ordering at the bar, getting take out, or having a quick sit down lunch I’m usually pretty pleased. The food… now I can’t lie… I usually never venture from a slice and half salad, but it fills you up and for exactly $ 10.70 you can’t be mad. The D’Luxe, Veggie, and Sportsman slices are my fave. The less than 5 star rating comes in for the hit or miss on the salads. The Mescluin salad(petite greens and seasonal fruit) was exceptionally WARM today. It appeared that nothing was refrigerated… not the greens, not the lettuce, not the dressing… NOTHING! And on another occasion I’ve had a greek salad, while cold, the lettuce was a lime green color. Not green like lettuce should be… so I’m sure I ate a salad that had no nutritional value. Even with those hiccups, its still one of my favorite go to places for a slice. I’ll have to venture and try the mussels and the BBQ shrimp po-boy that I see others raving about.

Underwhelmed. Underwhelmed to the point of annoyance. I sat at the bar. I asked, «what kind of pizza do you folks have here?» I always ask this because I LOVEPIZZA. I explained that I am a transplant… I’m used to New York and Boston pizza. Normally that is a conversation starter in and of itself… this bartender is getting married guys. She does not have time to talk about pizza! The response should have been an indication for me to walk away. «uhmm it’s pizza. so, you know. it’s pizza. Plus I’m getting married so I want to talk about getting married.» She didn’t say the last part… Once I asked her to go into a bit more detail… thin crust? greasy? deep dish? she began reading the ingredients to me. Then the bartender, who is getting married, took my drink order. When I told her that I would just be having a club soda at the moment, I learned that Andrew wasn’t drinking for Lent. He might be drinking on St. Patrick’s Day. Do I think that counts as not drinking??? The more right I write the more annoyed I am getting. The first slice I got was good. I liked the texture, the cheese… I thought they were a bit stingy on the marinara. I noticed to my chagrin when I placed my order at 5:02 that they had a 2⁄1 Happy Hour Special. I ordered another piece anyway. This one came out like a weathered shingle. It was burned. I could actually crack the pizza in half. Breakable pizza is sooo 2012. Anyway, I mentioned that the slice was«well done» and she sent it back. The new slice came out… raw basically. I ate it. She didn’t check on me again, so I guess it didn’t matter what I felt about the second slice anyway. I will go try another location I guess, but I would not recommend this place, based on the service alone.

We went to Slice twice during our honeymoon because it was really good pizza and it was very close to the B&B we stayed in. We had the same waitress both times and she was very pleasant and efficient. You really get to customize your pizza and even if you only want a few slices, they’ll still make it how you want it. The first time I got two slices of a pesto based pizza with caramelized onions, goat cheese and salmon. Mouth wateringly delicious. The next time my husband and I split a pie and unfortunately the waitress told the kitchen a red sauce base when we asked for a white sauce, but we didn’t want to waste it so we ate it any way. Still very good. Great little pizza place with a friendly staff and they are also open really late which is nice.

You wouldn’t think it, but this pizzeria has the best BBQ shrimp po boy I’ve ever had. It is plenty rich, but they use quite a bit of Worcester sauce to help cut through all that richness. The shrimp are huge too. I dropped one on the floor and cried. There are a ton on the sandwich, but that didn’t make losing one hurt any less. The Pizza is great too, an especially wonderful option during Parade Season. . I’m never really blown away by the food options on St Charles, but this place is a great exception to that. And that BBQ Shrimp PO-boy!
